..... and why we all chase the dream with what we have available to us or we watch tv a wish we could. From gravity racers to ride on top lawnmowers to F1 if it's in you you know it but what are you going to do about it?
@Jantje Pietje .... or race downhill skateboards - it gets me excited no matter what it is I race. I did the skateboard downhill thung in California when I was younger and still miss it, although I don't miss how long it took to heal from the crashes.haha Cheers
Absolute savage and a lot of a car to handle, but Schwaiger's been racing for a very long time and he bought this Porsche back when it was brand new and raced it ever since and over time it evolved into what it is today. So glad to see him pushing it hard despite beeing in his 70's.Sheer fact he controls a car that can very easily kill you with such finnese is mesmerising.Plenty of us would be terified once that thing does wheelie yet he shrugs it off-just another day in the office. Thanks for sharing these two legends.
Boy, the cojones of that man! Do I envy him! I can only dream of being half as brave and vigilant as he is 25 yrs from now! Huge respect just for being able to wear that damned racing suit, let alone being able to throw around like that such a beast!
@@HillClimbMonsters I really hope you upload another video of him driving like that by this time next year! A thing to look forward to, inspiring and motivating!
This is incredible! The footage almost looks like its in fast forward until you see fans move in the background at normal speed. What a machine, and what an amazing driver :)
Nix verlernt...Respekt, wie der den Porsche bewegt....Erfahrung ist eben durch nichts zu ersetzen. Der macht uns jungen locker noch was vor, mit über 70.
Glad this thing got rebuilt after the crash a couple of years ago. Sad to see that it has now under-gone the paddle-shift conversion - makes sense though. H-patterns are purely for nostalgia. This is competition, and sequentials are what wins.
@@markholroyde9412 If you think Schwaiger’s Porsche is easier to drive just because paddleshift operated sequential, you are naive.Race car like that, even with paddleshift and traction control, which doesn’t prevent it completely from sliding rear end and wheelies when going out of chicanes, will not forgive you any mistake.Anyone with your thinking would end up wrecking it and possibly killing themselves in the process.
@@hillclimbracingfan5821 I know its easier Jr.... I have a manual 6 speed 940hp V10 supercharged Ram as a DD...and an E46 for the Ring with a gear lever...no Girly paddle shifter just so I can "go faster" they dont even have any (human) body movement anymore, its like driving a fkn Rolls Royce in todays "race" cars

@HillClimb Monsters - How do you get so many different shots? Do you have like 15 employees lined up the course or do you find nice bystanders with nice cameras and share their footage?
WTF this man doesn't fear anything, he's fast, really fast, absolute respect. Age is in the head ^^ Meanwhile in France thé gouvernement is questioning about medical check-up for 65+ years old drivers 😅
That front suspension lift... holy moly. Engine on the back with excessive weight transfer = no steering response. He should really consider the idea of revising the suspension. Other then that kudos for this old man. Still sustaining these high Gs like a pro.
If I'm alive by retirement age, I won't "retire" like the rest of the world, watering plants and driving a Corvette on the weekends. I wanna build and drive as many over the top race cars as possible. I like this dude
He’s certainly got the suspension tuned in because from a dig that car is pulling up the front wheels in places. Wicked fast but the sound is kind meh. I guess they all can’t sound like GT3 RSs lol
Absolute weapon. Between the rumble, rasp and turbo spool it sounds amazing.
Even among the Hillclimb Racing scene, this is a proper Old-School Monster ;)
if you pause very carefully at 1:09 you can see daylight under the front wheels. Looks very difficult to drive, im impressed
Yeah... Yeah..., that car looks like it's going to wheelie.
I noticed that! When those turbos kick in, there ain't much subtlety about them!
It needs better front Aero to keep it on the ground
I want to be like that at his age mad respect and beautiful car
We all do we bet ;)
Same bro

The way the front end lifted coming out the chicane, amazing man! 😎😎😎🥇
Proper Old-School Air-Cooled Turbo Power 🏁
The driver literally need to lift to correct steer this car, it's crazy man
Yes i see that also

this car is my favorite hillclimb monster ever, it's so beautiful. also mad respect to the driver
It is a proper Old-School Monster for sure ;)
Never give up on your dreams I guess
Looks like the car could do a wheely if it really wanted to
If you pause at the right moment you´ll see it really does one ;)
"My grandpa has a Porsche race car that can do wheelies" lol absolutely rips it too
71 year old badass
Boy, the cojones of that man! Do I envy him! I can only dream of being half as brave and vigilant as he is 25 yrs from now! Huge respect just for being able to wear that damned racing suit, let alone being able to throw around like that such a beast!

That thing is a nimble monster,he certainly knows how to wheel it
We loved the opportunity to see it from up close and film the ignition! And that wave from him was so nice to see!
This is incredible! The footage almost looks like its in fast forward until you see fans move in the background at normal speed. What a machine, and what an amazing driver :)
Beast mode engage! Man and machine in perfect harmony.
Almost 3 decades of bonding now ;)
Even though I'm a rotary/JDM lover by trade, always loved these last air cooled 911's. Keep up the good work!!!
What a complete monster and legend piloting that 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Once a Racer, always a Racer!
Incredible! 993 GT2 is my child hood hero. It’s so cool to see the veteran able to wheel it up the mountain full of joy
And next year he´ll be back for more ;)
For a 71 year old he is amazing ,as for his Porsche what a machine and its got plenty GRUNT ,just what a Porsche should be !
Rupert Schwaiger der Alte Fuchs! Und das mit über 70jahren! Respekt !
Fair play to the man, at least he's one elderly person you wouldn't get stuck behind doing 30mph in a national speed limit road 😉👍
Chances are you wouldn´t even be able to keep up :P
He gets stuck behind you
@@HillClimbMonsters you're probably right there 😂👍🏁

A legend in its own time. No more can be said.
The bits of wet track and he's still attacking. Insane. Favorite section is the first hairpin up the hill amazing control
Old Man can drive, that's a wild animal he's got there...👌
The fact he drives one of the lairiest Monsters in Europe just adds up to the awesomeness ;)
Indeed...💪
WTF!! there's a 71 year old doing wheelies in 993 road missile. respect .
I like how it almost does a wheelie when he puts the power down.
Good on him 71 and enjoying his Sundays tearing up a hillclimb in a car most of us would bin inside 10 minutes. Good for u old chap

...and make it a shit load easier to drive/brake, all the cheats are needed today LOL
I though a Lady drove this round SPA?, different car?

Love that Flat6 Sound !!! :)
First I was like "why is he driving so gentle?"
But ye that thing goes harrrd. Big ups to the driver!
I got goosebumps just listening to this glorious engine! :)
so hammergeil!
The old bugger is really given it to the go fast pedal XCELLENT
Wow! The car is an absolute animal and the driver is a savage!
What an awesome Man!
My father : my boy im no longer elder and im not driving faster.
The grandfa: listen my 670 hp's
Wild horse 🔥
Merci pour le spectacle!
It’s actually lifting the front wheels when accelerating! Look around 1:10 when it leaves the slow s obstacles
Good eye ;)
BIG RESPECT !!!
This one sounds more refined. No crazy sputtering and blow off
He was flying 🤩👍

At least we have a benchmark here :D

Great driver and Porsche... the best!!!!!
Amazing sound, hope I’m still driving like this at that age 👍🙏🔥😎 Respect !

That is a nasty beast! Sounds incredible.
This Porsche is doing a wheelie.:)
Absolutely insane!
Respekt for this man.....Big respekt😊
Gives a whole new meaning to: you drive like an old man!
Imagine trying to tame a monster that wants to kill you at every corner exit, at that age… what a legend.
Legend really does apply here 👍
凄い!尊敬する!

What a beast of a machine
Madre del amor hermoso!!!! Eso es patada pura!!! Brutal
My hero!
If all those oldies could drive like that, I would have less stress on the road
After all these years, he sure know how to handle his old lady's bad mood
Dam this was violent.
"Grandpa, I'm gonna be late for school!"
Hop in kiddo, I got this.
I saw this car in ghd Gorjanci, epic!
Ist das nocht der berühmte Greelo Porsche... ach ne der hier ist viel geiler💪😎👍
when the turbos turn on, the front lifts! scary!! 😳😳😳
Traumhaft! Fährt wie Carrerabahn!
That's a quick car
Amazing 😲💪🏎🏁

This is how i wanna be when i`m 71
I knew of sleeper cars but not of a sleeper driver. LOL. Imagine trying to race him.

Perfect car but maybe less pressure on the rear wing
👏👏👏👏
please correct, 71 years young racer
Whats the white one in the back at 00:05?
It pulled the front wheels off the ground
👍👍👍
1:09 wheelie...
I’m 72. I still have a car brain.
I will acknowledge my reaction time is slower.
He’s certainly got the suspension tuned in because from a dig that car is pulling up the front wheels in places. Wicked fast but the sound is kind meh. I guess they all can’t sound like GT3 RSs lol
Is this sped up?
Age is a mere number. Check 76 year old Arthur on LLF channel, he owns a 1200 HP TT......
I wish it were my grandfather
