Hi there! Thanks for commenting. None of the hostels mentioned are in Kihei. We did mention the Kihei Surfside Resort which is a very affordable condo style accommodation. When are you planning on visiting Maui?
To our knowledge of visiting there every year since 2014, there isn’t much by way of public transportation other than local buses. There are of course Uber and Lyft as well as taxi and limo services. You may also get lucky if the resort you’re staying at offers a shuttle of some sort. But other than that there isn’t much. If you are staying at one of the kaanapali resorts, there is a shuttle that will bus you around the golf course, whalers village, and the surrounding restaurants. I imagine there is something similar in the Wailea area too.
Have to check these places out! Thanks for the rec’s!!!
