Sounds good. I have cobb on mine it's not loud i dislike it. I want a new exhaust but don't want to pay to get a retune.

I need to take my Evo up in the canyons for the first time.
Love my Borla cat back, just don't like the transition Cobb gasket that takes your 3" aftermarket test pipe down to the 2.75 borla cat back pipe. I am on my second one in two years. The metal gasket tends to blow out after 15k due to stress. Other than that I still think this is the best sounding exhaust for the evo in a daily driver situation. Only stupid loud when you are in the pedal..
Is there another option than a Cobb gasket? Maybe other brands are better quality?
@@Agui86 Oriellys has the same gasket. Unfortunately I forgot the part# cost me around $7.00 was a stock metal gasket for a GM car.
Great sounding exhaust. Just got my 2014 evo gsr. How do you only make the fog lights turn on?
The previous owner wired the fog lights to function as daytime running lights.

Man thanks for doing this I looked months ago for a video on the borla and all of them were janky as hell. Is it very loud at interstate speeds? Say 65 to 75? And have you noticed any minor performance increase from it at all?
After having it for 8 months or so, it’s a little too quiet for my preference. I love how it looks though. I will be adding a test pipe soon to see if that puts the sound where I want it. If not, I’ll probably end up removing the muffler on the catback.
As far as performance gains, you probably won’t feel anything from just a catback. Definitely noticed a difference after my first dyno tune though.
@@Christian_Meyer it looks badass with the wide tips and personally I prefer the dual exit over the single. Did you the install yourself or have a shop do it? If you did yourself how difficult was it?

For a JDM car this sounds pretty deep. Been tricking out my Lancer ES did some custom exhaust work might get this exhaust on it
Is this exhaust really loud? I love the sound of it but I work nightshifts and don't want to piss off my neighbors.
I leave my house at 5am for work and have not received any complaints from neighbors 🤗. Haha it’s a perfect sound level for IMO.

Bad Zion_tC Evo X’s only have one catalytic converter so I’m not sure what you mean.

Conner Graceffa I ran it on a 3” test pipe without issue even though the exhaust is smaller diameter.

I now run a Tomei but the current owner of the exhaust has it on a test pipe as well.

Are you still running the Borla exhaust or did you change it out for something else? Is the Borla exhaust designed to match up with the stock catalytic converter?
I did run the Borla catback on a 3" test pipe for a while, but eventually swapped to a Tomei for the weight savings. The Borla is intended to mate to the factory catalytic converter though yes.
How’s the drone
I have no complaints with the catback.

The Borla system does use one muffler.

I do not have a tune.
Sucks that they underpowered these cars and the automatics have CVT’s. It’s such a great looking car but the motor is lacking.
First time I’ve heard someone call the Evo underpowered, especially with how well they respond to bolt ons. And the automatic MR has a six speed dual clutch.
They do NOT have CVT on the MR’s lol. It’s a dual-clutch 6 speed.
