Thanks for the detailed video. Your desktop interface looks different than mine. Is this new version ?

Great question, PBI Desktop is rolling out new interface updates every month. At the time of this video I was either using the Jan 2024 or Dec 2023 PBI Version. A lot changed since then, what version are you on and are you looking for something specific I can help with?

Thanks for the detailed video. Do you know if users without a pro license will be able to view the smart narratives and see the smart narrative change as they interact with different charts?

Hi, great question! The answer depends upon how you are planning for them to access to smart narrative. Are they going to be using something which you've published? If you've published it to a premium workspace, then promote that report to a pbi app, users can access and view the app without a pro license.

How can I hide the Copilot preview but have its answers automatically displayed? I want a table where my question will be in column A, and I want Copilot to answer each question and fill column B. If that is not possible, when I click on different questions, Copilot should give me different answers on the right-hand side of the screen.

Great question. As it’s a new capability, to my knowledge we are only able to interact with the prompt via the preview pane.

can you please share the file?

Great question, copilot leverages datasets you have deployed within your enterprise PBI service tenant. So this file won’t be able to be used by anyone else which is why it’s not shared. You’ll want to ensure your dataset is deployed as a semantic model to your PBI service to leverage copilot.
