Thank you Sergio . Fascinating sport fish, hit or miss in my local spots, very similar structure as the one you show in the actual clip. We don’t see them until October down here 🤞🤞 Thanks again for the work and sharing !! Best Mag
Excellent video. Agree with all your suggestions. Sometimes if the fish are thick take a pause in the retrieve and the fly get's whacked. love your photography.
Thank you for the kind comments. I've had albies eat a fly that was idle on the water. Left my flyline on the water while having lunch on the boat and I almost lost the outfit 😱 Have a great season!
If they are only 1-3lbs I'd imagine a 6wt is plenty. Just need backing because I suspect they will run just as fast as full size cousins. Where in the world are you?
im in san diego california ..we have great off shore tuna mahi mahi bonito yellow tail halibut ect... i fish back bay for this when they come in and also we have bonefish 1-2+ pounders and some fat mullets maybe 5 pounds been trying to catch them tricky fish, also halibut flounder they can get up to 40 inch and up to 18+ pounders @@SergioDiazFishing
small cotse size bonefish catch them all year mostly blind casting in 8 to 15 foot eather in the sandy and eelgrass my biggest bonefish is 20 inch and ran like a bullet ,, this cortez bonefish got pushed up here a long time ago from el nino storm so now we have a population of them .. we are lucky to have good fishing here @@SergioDiazFishing
Nice. Always enjoy your vids. Haven't seen or heard much about them this year. I guess they are already gone by now. Any striper or blues around out that way now?
Hi Ted, this year has not been good for inshore albies. They made a good push early September and left and have sporadically come here and there. But the water still warm and perhaps the cold weather will bring them back. Blues are still around (good size too) but the bass have yet to do the fall thing. Tight lines!
Great video...very informative...short and to the point. Thanks for posting! Tightest of lines...

Thanks bud and good luck!
wow you are omnipresence!
Great job Sergio! I'd like to add one thing, very very difficult to land those fish from jetty with 12# tippet. I usually go 20#
Yes, you're a 100% correct. Having a buddy or someone that can get down and lift the fish helps a lot. If you are on you're own 20lb leader works!

we have this fish but its a bonito and they are smaller like 1 to 2 pounds maybe 3 if lucky.... will a salt made 6wt be ok to use or just go 7/8wt?
