    This is where flies work great. The presentation is much more gentle.

    I love how everyone, myself included, always jump down one extra rock... because that extra slippery 12 inches is going to get us that much closer lol

    Never seen them on the east side of that breakwater, Maybe it's because of little boat traffic. Agree blind casting can be great.

      Dude, literally came here to say the same thing. Never seen em in the channel always on the outside. Twice last yr i hooked an albie there and both times it smoked me into the fish trap.

    Nice. I bought an Okuma SRT inshore elite in 7'6" M, just got today. Should be a great albie rod. Hooked up with 7 so far this season.

    Nice Video Johnny, those albies are a blast on light tackle, glad to see they can perplex fisherman other than myself with how fussy they can be Picking up a casting egg and some albies flies this weekend at the Saltwater Edge. Between flies and epoxies hoping to hit the albie jackpot. Lastly have you hooked into any Bonito? Keep fishing hard for the rest of us.

    • @Fish-RI
      @Fish-RI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen albies busting but not been able to hook up more times than I like to admit... no bones this season for me just albies. good luck out there

      @@Fish-RI this has got to be one of the longest, sustained albie blitz ive ever seen. Also never seen em blitz on the inside of the cut . If you haven't yet deff try a casting egg and fly. Kills when theyre keyed in on rain bait

      @@Fish-RI huge bloodline, they have to be bled out quickly to make them even reasonably palatable but still not the greatest. This afternoon I'm smoking up the bluefish I caught yesterday, only kept 1 out of a group of gators, but plenty of seabass filets.

    Nothing like a surprise bite on a blind cast. Jealous of how you get pelagic fish running so close to shore, even if it's just once a year. Great fishing. How long do these guys stay around there?

    • @Fish-RI
      @Fish-RI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
