Love your videos and I bought you a coffee! I always wanted to incorporate DBT because I struggle with emotion regulation due to past childhood trauma but most tutorials are dry and over complicated. Trying to do DBT seemed overwhelming and unattainable. But since finding your channel, I do a couple videos a night and I feel like I can finally do this! Thank you for doing what you do.

Thank you, I'm taking screenshots and saving them for whenever I feel triggered and have urges that might potentially ruin my relationships

Thanks for the video, Sir. Your videos are healing, educative and helpful. I hold love and support in high regard as I had not received it as I had abusive parents in my childhood. At some point, I got addicted to romantic movies that I started day dreaming endlessly craving for it. Peviously, I attempted suicide as I did not find an end to the craving. Glad to see your videos. I hope that you continue this work and really really hope would some day make a video on how to heal traumas from childhood considering this is as a humble request. Thanks again.🙏

Hi Hensar, thanks for your comment. That's not an area I have much experience with so I don't think I could do it justice right now, but it sounds like a great idea for a video. I'll look into a little more and maybe I can come up with something in a few months.

i want to start with telling you that i really like your videos very much. however, i found that this video confused me a bit and instead of simplifying it for me to choose the best technique to use it complicated things for me. you explain so beautifully in your other videos that compliment that one, all those techniques and concepts but listening to that video i found myself get lost quiet quickly . i refer mostly to the first part of the video where you describe the flow of how to choose the best emotional regulatory technique. i hope i am not harsh by saying that, and again i really like your videos ,great deal and appreciate the time you took to create them!!!!! as they help me a lot so thank you

Hi greg! Great content as always. This stuff has been life changing for me, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Glad to see a fellow canadian providing so much value here on youtube.
Im slightly confused on one point.
    Wouldnt being mindful even though:
    >emotion/thoughts do NOT fit the facts
    >acting on emotion would NOT be effective.
    Still be helpful?
For example couldnt it be most effective if we go to
observing/describing & accepting the emotion/urge to act BEFORE checking the facts/changing thoughts?
in the flow chart it shows 1)not act on emotion 2)change thoughts 3)opposite action
but personally I've found adding mindfulness prior step 2)changing of thoughts regulates my emotion a bit better.
Would this be considered wise mind? 1)mindful of current emotions 2)change thoughts 3)opposite action
Looking forward to hopefully you being able to provide some clarity!
Hopefully you're enjoying the cooler weather! 🍁

What if your anxious about having panic attacks and now have insomnia 😔

You need to find ways to manage your panic attacks so that they don't cause you so much anxiety. I have a couple of videos about panic attacks but I don't like them that much so I'm working on a new one, but in the meantime you could check out th-cam.com/video/Ymetfote8W0/w-d-xo.html
