Creating Layers of Bubble Texture in Encaustic Painting with Incised Lines and Oil Paint

This tiny little encaustic painting is so full of bubble texture and color. I used multiple layers of drips and incised lines to build up the texture in the center, spreading outward. It's a super fun encaustic technique, and though it can take awhile, especially if you're doing a larger painting, the results are just too fun to miss.
Of course, the finishing touch is the blend of oil paint colors filling the lines and complementing the purple bubbles.
