I am loving this textured encaustic technique creating texture bubbles with splashes of wax and incised lines around them. I was so fun to experiment with different colors of wax and also oil paint. This was an experiment in colors you might say- not sure I'm in love with the color combo, but this encaustic painting is definitely interesting!

Love the final result. Looks fantastic! And wiping away that paint for the reveal is definitely satisfying 😊

Thought you were going to say your linseed oiled rags caught fire. You were very lucky though.

Do you use raw linseed oil or boiled, and does it make any difference?
Also, I'm curious, do you fuse after applying the linseed oil?

It's more encaustic wax, just in different colors.

Is this wax? Does that mean like a candle?
After the finish is not sticky?
Or is it's gonna hard like stone? Do interested !
    Thank you for sharing

Hi Erika! Yes, encaustic is wax but with resin added. Here's a playlist of the basics video I've made if you're interested in learning about encaustic painting... th-cam.com/play/PLg2AuPX94jTQ9wnRY4QckG_cw-TZNvwuU.html&si=HPlD30gl0-9GsJWD
