The movie used computer generated vocals for the Blue Diva, as it was considered so hard it was impossible to sing. Dimash is the only male that can sing this perfectly, and this was part of a 3 hour concert 💖
Well... they weren't exactly computer generated. They actually *were* sung "in isolation" (one note at a time) and then *sequenced* by computer. (The digital sequencing is obvious, at least to me.) At the extreme high end, there might have been some autotune involved, because all the female divas that have successfully sung this, did it a half-step down. Usually I can tell if autotune was used, but in the movie I can't tell, because the digital sequencing sounds more artificial than autotune does.
The producers wanted a song that only an alien could sing and they were actually unable to find ANY singer who could sing the part Dimash just sang, all in one performance. What the producers had to do was have the opera singer sing the difficult notes separately and then they used computers to render them to get the sound they wanted. There have been other singers, mostly women, who have tried to sound like the movie. Dimash is the only person able to do it. In fact, Dimash does it better than the movie version.

Also, anytime Dimash performs this song, he changes it up. There is a live version out there that has a bit more power and he takes the notes a little longer and higher. I’ve heard him with the highest and lowest notes, but what was impressive was the scale he did starting at the high note and running all the way down so quickly. I just don’t know how many octaves he covered it wasn’t least two.

If you want to see all of Dimash's range, react to Unforgettable Day at Gakku concert. This man can hit a sustained D8 note. I ultra-strongly recommend this. You haven't heard ANYTHING until you hear his D8 whistle.

In the movie version of the 5th Element, they used synthesized sound cuz the real singer did not have the range needed. The opera singer you’re referring to did not have the powerful voice needed to make it unique. Only Dimash can do this.

You didn’t say it and I don’t know if it was in the previous comments, but that opera singer you named didn’t finish the song.. she couldn’t sing that high. In fact I don’t know if anyone could at that time. Since the singer show where dimash did it one step down from your version supposedly no one had done. One of the female vocal coaches said others female divas have done it a half step down from this version. Go back and listen to the the blue alien and you can hear when the technology comes in.
