Go to Gloria Wu's channel and do the reaction from her video which tells the back story of the song which is very emotional and then he sings with so much beauty and tenderness that you can not help but be moved. What an amazing world we live in, where we can get this kind of fellow-feeling when we know how powerfully WE were affected, and to be able to experience something similar when another new 'Dear' shares an initial reaction. I believe that, especially with Dimash's music, we are creating a network of caring all the way around the earth. Yeah you know, It's my theory that Dimash's dears are inherently filled with an unusual amount of empathy. Of course, Dimash is unparalleled in regards to his ability to feel a song and transfer the feelings directly into the heart of the listener. But I also think that Dears are the type of people who are able to tune in to that emotion and tune in in a way that fills up your soul with everything Dimash is putting out. I think that emotional connection is why we are so attached to him and also why we are so protective of him. Of course it's more complicated than that but in general I think this is why Dears are Dears. Almost all of us have teared up on multiple Dimash songs so you are not alone.

This came from Lionel Richie who is black and then I also think of Whitney Houston who is black. But these artist recorded with white producers who took that adlib black choir and black church style singing out of them with a mass produced style left that sold a lot of copies and made us white people happy. But Dimash comes along and puts it all back in in one beautiful song. As a child from an evangelical church background we visited black baptist and evangelical black churches. It was not unusual to hear what dimash just did in this song. Of he is bringing this from the tribal cultural elements from his country. In sinful passion he does that too. He has said that he wants to mix some of culture with pop in his singing and here he did it. It was so good that it was better than the original no offense to Lionel who has a very beautiful song. This adlib was one of the best I’ve ever heard.
Exactly! For me this is not a love song but a song about loneliness - the loneliness of unrequited love. And Dimash’s interpretation matches this idea perfectly. In the first part Dimash expresses the sadness of the situation, then when he gets more affirmative in tone he expresses irritation. And in the climax of the song he expresses utter desperation before final brief acceptance at the end. That’s my take, anyway. 😊

While I’m at it, for those who may not know, Dimash sings “I love you” in three different languages; English first, then “wo ai ni” in Mandarin, then “men seni suyemin” in Kazakh at the end.

I actually don't understand when there are ppl who say Dimash has no emotion in his songs. Go figure! I think that they are tuned to and expect a certain tone or delivery of a song and can't or won't process the tones that Dimash brings in every song.
That was just stunning. Dimash didn't just copy this 80's classic, he took it to an entirely different level !! And all without losing the essence of the song ! Unreal !! Yeah you know, It's my theory that Dimash's dears are inherently filled with an unusual amount of empathy. Of course, Dimash is unparalleled in regards to his ability to feel a song and transfer the feelings directly into the heart of the listener. But I also think that Dears are the type of people who are able to tune in to that emotion and tune in in a way that fills up your soul with everything Dimash is putting out. I think that emotional connection is why we are so attached to him and also why we are so protective of him. Of course it's more complicated than that but in general I think this is why Dears are Dears. Almost all of us have teared up on multiple Dimash songs so you are not alone.

This came from Lionel Richie who is black and then I also think of Whitney Houston who is black. But these artist recorded with white producers who took that adlib black choir and black church style singing out of them with a mass produced style left that sold a lot of copies and made us white people happy. But Dimash comes along and puts it all back in in one beautiful song. As a child from an evangelical church background we visited black baptist and evangelical black churches. It was not unusual to hear what dimash just did in this song. Of he is bringing this from the tribal cultural elements from his country. In sinful passion he does that too. He has said that he wants to mix some of culture with pop in his singing and here he did it. It was so good that it was better than the original no offense to Lionel who has a very beautiful song. This adlib was one of the best I’ve ever heard.

Exactly! For me this is not a love song but a song about loneliness - the loneliness of unrequited love. And Dimash’s interpretation matches this idea perfectly. In the first part Dimash expresses the sadness of the situation, then when he gets more affirmative in tone he expresses irritation. And in the climax of the song he expresses utter desperation before final brief acceptance at the end. That’s my take, anyway. 😊

While I’m at it, for those who may not know, Dimash sings “I love you” in three different languages; English first, then “wo ai ni” in Mandarin, then “men seni suyemin” in Kazakh at the end.

I actually don't understand when there are ppl who say Dimash has no emotion in his songs. Go figure!
I think that they are tuned to and expect a certain tone or delivery of a song and can't or won't process the tones that Dimash brings in every song.
That was just stunning. Dimash didn't just copy this 80's classic, he took it to an entirely different level !! And all without losing the essence of the song ! Unreal !! It had a East meets West feel to it with the addition of traditional Kazakh instruments. And what can be said about Dimash's vocal abilities - there's no one else like him !!
