I liked how those three calves already know the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. The colours in your drone shots picking up the bales were spectacular. Another great video.

Cole, over the past few videos, enjoying your beautiful country side, got to thinking of the time my brother and I with our 3 small boys visited our eldest brother in Hamill. This was back in 96. Took me forever to remember where we went. If I recall Hamill was a pretty small place, deep in the country side - the closet town of significance was Winner. Our eldest brother was the pastor at the local church in Hamill for two years. Even went fishing below the dam in Pierre. As usual, another great video. Wishing you and your Dad the best.

I have a friend who bought one of the loading bale trailers for round bales. They went back and forth on buying one for years. After they bought theirs they said we should have done it years ago. But they do hay a fair amount of acres for their cattle operation up in here Alberta. They usually run 2-3 sections of alfalfa and/or grass.

When I was a young lad living on a farm we kept an old bathtub next to the house that we kept full of water for our dog. Easy to clean, and we had her sorta (there were days when this was less successful) trained to jump in it instead of any old dirty puddle.

Bird poop problem- get some "Bird Spikes" More expensive than 3 plastic owls- but they work. Probably find some in farm supply store. You can get them in 10 foot lengths. Do a search on Amazon or Google. You stick them on the top of the beams in the shed, spikes upward, and the birds can land or perch there.

Hey, we have one of those bale collector things that you were talking about. And they are very useful and effective. We use a techno-bale 900. You can hold 5 bales on the back and one on the front loader, it’s not the biggest trailer but it gets the job done. You should rly consider it and they are super cheap

Hey guys, thanks for entertaining me again today !
I don't want y'all to get a swelled head or anything, but it's kind of impressive that you know how to operate so many different kinds of equipment. I was wondering, are all tractors kind of the same, but it's just that some of the controls are in a different place ? Cole, I'm still waiting for a ride on the inside of the baler. Have you done any more than just think about a PO Box? Your dad wants a picture (not of me, you goofball 😂) and other than through email the two of us are too old to figure out how to do it. I don't think I've got enough printer ink to print a very big picture anyway. I am super smart, I do know how to send a picture in a text. Help us out buddy, will ya ? 😏

Thanks for the great idea on the " locked position" for Briones hat. We were watching your video at an emergency practice for the Elks Drinking Team and that got us to thinking ( although, in full disclosure, the last time we got to thinking resulting in three firetrucks, 2 ambulances, 5 police cruisers, a hostage negotiator, and my mom having to show up at the scene). But, as we were finishing the 5th round of practice and our 7th round of beers ( don't know why those 2 numbers arent equal), we decided to improve on Briones idea. We went out to the parking lot and looked at the tonneau cover on Darrell's old truck that he found while deer hunting one night ( we painted over the " Game Warden" sign on the side and now its his). We took off some of the snaps that hold the cover on and we riveted them to the steel plate in Neds skull. We then glued the other ends to the inside of Neds seed corn hat that he got from the seed rep that ran off with his wife. It seemed really sturdy so we stood Ned up in the bed of Darrell's pickup and went ripping down the road at 75 MPH. The hat stayed on perfect! The only problem was that Ned forgot to duck when we went under the blinker light in front of the feed mill so now we owe the county some money for a new light. But, the concept is solid so we thought maybe you can promote it on your channel . We call it the " Snap Cap". We go into production as soon as we get enough money together after paying for the traffic blinker. We will split the profits with you. Larry ( my accountant) says that if we pay you 15% for promotion, use 60% for product costs, 20% for beer for the crew, that will leave us with a solid 30% profit. Thanks for your consideration.

I have an 8 bale picker which is all you need to gather the bales to the end of the field to then load on a trailer, i have a semi flat-deck on a dolly to haul longer distance and to deliver bales to customers, but if yer hay field is close to home the picker is fine to unload in the yard, i cant leave my net-wrap like you guys or it'll freeze down, we put ground ones on flat side then a top row normal to shed rain.

We own a Morris (pro ag) 14 bale move around 5k a year with it and have had it about 5 years now wouldn't change anything about it when unloading you tilt the deck back and line it up with the bales that are already stacked never had problems.

    • @robertholsworth3101
      @robertholsworth3101 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Brian Sonne, We want to use the divider so our bales will be spaced and it will push the first two bales apart when starting a new row of bales and the next 10 will be good and spaced and the last 2 will be a couple feet from the row of bales and be spread apart. If the push par would push them all the way off it wouldn’t be near the problem.

Do you ever place additional gravel on the farm driveways. They so often appear to be muddy and with many puddles.

Yes. We get approximately 20 straight truck loads of gravel a year.

Just a quick question. Would it be possible to put garage doors on both ends of the garage, so that when a piece of equipment is buried in the back, it would be at the front of that door? Easy peasy access, right?

Well there is a grain bin on the other side so unfortunately that is not possible now, but that would have been nice!

Take a rope and tie to the top of the hitch pin and run into the cab through the grommet in the rear window. Takes a huge load off of your legs and knees much better to only have to get out to hook and not to unhook

hi maybe get one of those kid pools for the dog those 10 buck ones

Tami said that Ellie doesn't like the little kiddie pools. I think Cole put too much water in the pool. Maybe if there was just an inch or two in it she would like it better. But then you'd still have to keep Cole from peeing in the pool, you know how kids are.

@5:45, I tried the plastic owl, robins insisted on nesting over my 1967 Chrysler...they just laughed at him (took selfies, drew nasty pictures on him etc...). Bought a red tailed hawk, that actually worked for a few years, then they got wise. Guess a falcon is next...
