When you said I'd tagged you I didnt even remember filming this tag 😂 I completely agree about the internet broadening reading tastes. Before that I'd just browse the library and look at the 3 for 2 tables in book shops.

It’s interesting to watch this and learn more about your tastes. I do love Agatha Christie and am reading more of her books.

I'm a mood reader. Sometimes I want character driven books and sometimes I want lots of plot, especially if I'm slumpy.
That Ian Reid cover made me unsettled without reading a word!😅

A really plotty book is excellent for a reading slump! Haha, yes that cover of Foe is a bit unsettling!

I love mysteries, too. I’m going to find your mystery recommendations. They sound like a lot of fun.

@@jenniferlovesbooks Thank you so much for asking. I’ll mention some of my favorite authors. I really enjoy Ann Cleves, especially her Vera Stanhope and Matthew Venn series. I love Elly Griffith’s Ruth Galloway series - until the final book. 🤭 Richard Osman’s Thursday murder Club was so fun. I recently read Kate Morton’s Homecoming ,which I read in two gulps. Also Shutter by Ramona Emerson, The Sunset Years of Agnes Sharp by Leone Swann, , Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourne, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advise for Murderers by Jesse Q. Squanto, Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson, the The Truly Devious YA series by Maureen Johnson. Agatha Christy is a perennial saved for rainy summer or snowy winter days. Hope I haven’t run on too long! I really tried to restrain myself. I’m a recent subscriber and really enjoy your channel!

@@susan3037 thanks for sharing! Have you read any Anthony Horowitz? You might like his Hawthorne and Horowitz series, which starts with The Word Is Murder. It's one of my favourite contemporary series. Great mysteries with a sense of playfulness to the books.

I dislike unlikeable and unreliable characters 😂I hate when you think you know something and it all changes, it makes me disoriented!! That being said I loved My Cousin Rachel. I think DDM can pull most types of characters off.
I loved A Passage North too. Such a great book.
Even though we don’t always have similar taste I do trust the things you comment on with what you read.
Loved hearing your answers for this 😊
