- From a young age, the New Jersey native has proved that BMX has always been a constant in his life. Like many riders, Scotty Cranmer started his career in BMX racing. He knew then that BMX was going to be more than just a hobby. Anyone who has ever seen him ride knows he has the ability to ride anything with ease and confidence. Scotty proves year after year that he was made for this and his passion and dedication to the sport has not only made his riding career successful, but has earned him the respect of everyone around him.

Life doesn’t work like that. Permanent damage is permanent damage. He has the potential and drive to become decent again, but the world will never be graced with his amazing riding again. He is a legend on and off the bike

2024 anyone ? Scotty you inspired multiple generations multiple times. I remember 2012 watching you ride xgames LA inspired me then to start riding again than almost 5 years layers TH-cam channel gets me into riding as a father of two.

what do you mean? His bmx progression after his accident gives him that feeling, even with small feats. E.g when he landed the fakie after his accident, he was psyched and I was too. Sure he will never be like he was before, but he is just as happy if not more now then he was pre-accident
Totally agree with you, ReeseWithoutherspoon. Scotty has achieved more in his life than most people ever will and is a huge part of bmx history. I can bet he has "that feeling" with him always, it's who he is as person and every rider understands it. Whether he is pushing himself or others, the dude is the embodiment of positivity and endless progression, regardless of the circumstances. That's just who he is. Scotty is the real deal. I have massive respect for him and everything has done and continues to do for bmx.

Scotty has changed my life in such a positive way I could never repay him. It’s sad to fast forward 4 years now and realize we can’t go back. Scotty will forever be a legend in all of our hearts. One of the best people to ever be on this planet....

I have no doubt in my mind. Pre-Accident, Scotty Cranmer was the best *all around* rider.. ever. Throw anything at him, Street, Park, even Dirt. He'll ride it like nobody else. Unbelievable, love this video!

He is still the same Scotty ;), he just having some problems with his motor skills. The things his doing on his BMX today is as amazing as what he did before the accident. Don't forget that the doctors told him he would probably not be able to walk again.
