Fenrir escaped from his prison in Niflheim and ran to the Ironwood in Jotunheim, there it is unclear if he mated with an unknown Giantess or had an incestuous relationship with his mother Angrboda; however it happened the wolves Hati and Skoll where born from this union and they where set up in the sky by the Aesir to chase the sun and moon who where known to get distracted and go off course
