The RM 25-01 comes with a rotating bezel made from damascene TPT carbon and features both compass markings and an hour scale for displaying compass direction in both northern and southern hemispheres using the watch hands (more on that later). This bezel can be removed and replaced with a liquid compass module with hinged cover (again, TPT carbon) that sports a mirror and sighting aperture for precise navigation, in conjunction with the bubble level on the side of the case.
Owned a RO 15400 - sold it and purchased a Vacheron overseas dual time (7900V). Much better watch all round.. More robust daily, where AP is fragile, scratch magnet, can't swim with it on and only has the steel bracelet (admittedly it's a nice bracelet). The VC was purchased at retail with a 4 month wait. 150m water resistant, 60hr power reserve & 3 straps included with simple 5 second strap change. Feels as solid as my Sub on the wrist and has a movement fitting to the case. RO felt more like delicate jewelry where the VC feels like a real sports watch. Just my opinion of course.
The bubble level is for when they're doing their wrist shots while standing on a crane looking down, making sure they're centered and their wrist is angled correctly.

The Vacheron OS hands down although not hyped, is on a technical standpoint a more capable watch vs the other two. There are days I even feel the understated elegance is pure class and a real watch guys watch. Let’s be honest the average joe hasn’t even heard of VC , yet it’s been operating since the USA 🇺🇸 wasn’t even a country.

I know you love AP so I understand you can think that the Royal Oak is the only possible option. For me, being a watch lover, I rate the Overseas far beyond the Nautilus and the Royal Oak. Reason being is that nowadays, getting a Royal Oak Jumbo and Nautilus has become "mainstream". I love wearing my Overseas because only people that are in to watches know what it is. It flies under the raidar and still being an amazing watch. Something that PP and AP Steel sport watches can't do anymore because the majority knows what they are. My opinion ofc but I love the fact that I can go out with my Overseas, and be stealth about it. They who know, they know

Why the bubble level ? Because of the compass . You need precision when you use the compass . Therefore , you need to be on a flat surface because with the lack of precision , the further you go the further you are away from your targeted point because overtime you would shy away step by step because you didn't calculate the NSWE correctly '

Eric, appreciate your Chanel but don’t agree on the Vacheron, i own the VC Overseas Dual Time and the RO and the Vacheron is a step above the AP, the bracelet is better, the level of finish is better and the mechanism also. You also have the advantage of the bracelets changing system. The VC is more at a Nautilus level…

I bought the rose gold VC Overseas Chrono 2 years ago and then last year added the rose gold bracelet they rolled out as a separate option and just luv it. Why did I buy it? Well… I wanted to pursue of my collection of the Holy Trinity but didn’t count on the market shrinking in the AP’s and now refuse to pay 2x to 3x retail. Second… ditto on PP! Not a huge fan of of the Nautilus but do like the Aquanaut. But can you get one? Hell no! So I’ve settled fir the gold 24. I’m more than happy to sit in the sideline till things come back to normal… which they will. Luv the channel and guys should listen to you. You know your sh*t!! Much respect

I had an Omega speedmaster professional, sold and bought a Rolex Explorer 39mm, and while I really love the Explorer, I do miss that Speedy, and wish I had kept it. Plus side, I got a lot more for the Speedy than what I paid for it, and also got the Explorer at retail. Moral of the story. Don't listen to the hype about what your missing and how average the Speedy is, you will find out you made a mistake, it's a super, iconic, versitile, go with any outfit, watch.
It was 1979. Moon watch professional was my first “serious” watch. Moved up from Doxa. And....I never liked it then, still don’t like it today. Bought it because of the back story. Eventually sold it few years ago. My only regret: if I’ve sold it today, would make bigger profit. Same moral of the story (don’t listen to the hype) but with a different angle. Just my 2c

Bec the omega speedmaster somehow has this "romantic" attachment when you wear it. I know how it feels, I've got a sub and a speedmaster...the sub doesn't give you that emotional attachment... it's just a nice durable watch. On the other hand there's something hard to explain about a speedmaster you feel good wearing it and it doesn't shout as well...i guess that's why you see so many owning them for 30-40 yrs.
