An IWC that fits a large man’s wrist and can be bought for less than $30k is “baller and flashy,” but a little obscenely priced steel watch with widely-known brand that screams “rich guy” is sophisticated? Most people have no idea what IWC is. That is why so many people like it. I understand that there are small men who look ridiculous wearing big watches, but for some of us, a 36mm Datejust looks ridiculous. Some of us have 8” wrists or larger. Some of us are well over six feet tall (come to the German-Scandinavian Midwest), and our wrists get bigger as we age. Many of us would feel more comfortable dropping $30k on a gold, not big name watch instead of a flashy name steel watch for the same price. I am old, so it might be a generational thing, but after rap, I am not comfortable wearing Patek or AP on the streets of Chicago anymore. I sold my Rolex. My gold chain is white gold (which also suits my ghost pale skin and blue eyes better). I kbow you are Italian and from New Jersey, and that your words speak true to that region, but where I live, Patek on anyone under 40-years-old screams poor taste, or even thuggish, not unlike an over-sized yellow gold chain, or worse yet, a diamond-set chain on a man. To me, that is Patek Philippe, a young cursing man surrounded by call girls talking about how much money he has. AP even more so. I am more impressed by FP Journe, Czapek, and other exceptional independents (Maurice Grossman is another). If I were not in a financial situation right now, I would own a gold Czapek Antarctique. That is beautiful and does not come with any brand baggage. Again, this could be a regional difference, but here, a little Italian guy wearing a Patek looks considerably more flashy than a large man wearing a size-appropriate IWC (I know watch publication do not get this, but many of us have 8” plus wrists). I understand how size impacts this (my friend’s sub looks larger on his wrist than my massive Seiko Astron), but there are big people in the US. I lived in Manhattan for years, and I was not the only tall, big guy there.

I get these videos to an extent. But I know a very wealthy man that has a massive watch collection and I see him in the wild on a Monday wearing a Patek and then a Seiko on Wednesday
A watch truly really doesn't say anything about you. Millionaires wear Timex and minimum wage guys can wear a Rolex. If you see me in public wearing my Rolex Submariner it tells you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about me, or what kind of person I am.
I think it's more intrinsic. You choose things based on what you know about yourself, so while a Rolex may tell anything externally, internally there was a reason you chose it
I bought this popular video watch from MaMacoo , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
I was initially surprised to see the Gadsden Flag hat. But-really it should come as no surprise largely because often people who are deeply into watch collecting are students of history in many areas. It's also common for watch collectors to collect firearms.
In Japan, we have the saying "A Rolex and a Toyota Crown, some day" It's the typical, cliche go-to that every normie aspires to. At your 40s when you've climbed the ladder a fair amount and to show the world you're respectable, Rolex is THE symbol watch. I literally see Rolex, Omega and occasionally an IWC worn by so many people, they're like clones of one another. I know it has history, but Rolex is the Louis Vuitton of watches to me... I can't imagine they have taste, they see the logo and buy it. Their designs aren't classical to me either - the strange balance of the bezel and the dial face (it looks too small to me, it's like and iPhone 3G screen) with the ill-sized dotted digits...it's simply obsolete in my eyes. Which convinces me further that they've kept that design without aspiring for novel designs to keep it recognizeable, to attract the average bear who strives to wear VLTN t-thirts and a Rolex. My grandfather owned a few and maybe that's giving me the old-man vibe bias. But yeah, I really don't see the value in it, just as I don't see value in an LV monogram bag.
Your watch says virtually NOTHING about you. Someone might wear a vintage 33mm Patek from the 40's because they love the style and how it gives them a feeling of being connected to a bygone era that they are fascinated with. Someone else may wear the same watch because they are a "label whore" and it was the only Patek they could afford and love telling people they own a Patek. Someone else may care nothing at all about watches but wear the same watch because it was passed down to them by a grandparent. Someone else may wear the same watch only because they are an aspiring writer and found out their favorite author wore something similar. Someone else may wear the same watch because it fits in with their hipster vibe and someone else may wear the same watch because they are very much into design and the love the simplicity of it. Someone could be rich, poor, very educated, uneducated, a serious collector or have no interest in watches at all, a businessman, a teacher, or a pro wrestler - and all have the same watch for different reasons.
Kudos on the cap. Don't tread on me. I admire individualism and personal freedom. That being said, my appreciation on a watch is not dependent on its price, but on the value I place on that piece. So far my most valuable watch is a G shock that reminds me of my daughters resilience, confidence and strength. I can place my full trust and reliabilty. I love that watch. Cheers.
Christian, T4YC. The Yacht Master is not that impressive. It looks very rough in titanium. And the colour isn't as nice as other titanium watches. Also, this is very much an American perspective. Any watch that's connected to a Football player may have a rough ride. Did OJ Simpson and Michael Vick do any brand ambassador collaborations?
I'm a mild collector. To me a Rolex is a Rolex. It is expensive. IF I notice it, I wonder if you and your watch is a fake. If you wear one of many other luxury watches, I want to talk watches with you.
Rolex Stella tasteful? Those watches shown are super gaudy. Sorry but when I see a guy wearing any Rolex outside an Explorer or Explorer 2 I automatically assume they don’t actually know the name of the model they are wearing.
I don‘t know why but I stopped watching your videos months ago. And I watched every single one since the beginning. Can‘t really say why its not catching me anymore but the Videos feel so boring to me these days. The old ones had more insides more tastefull things and more of your style and your energy ..

Where are the other dude's at? I think the same exact watch can say many different things, depending on who is wearing it.
Liked and subbed
In Japan, we have the saying "A Rolex and a Toyota Crown, some day"
It's the typical, cliche go-to that every normie aspires to.
The average person: You can't afford an Apple watch?
No one gives a shit
RIP Michael
I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
Cheers.
Love the hat and flag 👏 👏 👏 🫡
Based on my experience, nobody cares. Unless another “watch lover” notices what you’re wearing it never comes up.
Bravo for the outfit! The amount of engagement you just boosted from all the ppl taking the bait and commenting, chef’s kiss!
All you seem to say that somebody is on an allocation.
I have to say that #nkuwan 's watches is amazing!
People get judged on hats not watches based on the comments.
Outfit 🤌🤌
what does that hat say about you?... depending on the state...
Say “right” one more time I dare you
Your watch says absolutely nothing about you.
Because 99% of people do not pay any attention to your watch.
100% NOT the hat I ever expected to see you wearing.
What is it?
Rolex Stella tasteful? Those watches shown are super gaudy. Sorry but when I see a guy wearing any Rolex outside an Explorer or Explorer 2 I automatically assume they don’t actually know the name of the model they are wearing.
I don‘t know why but I stopped watching your videos months ago. And I watched every single one since the beginning. Can‘t really say why its not catching me anymore but the Videos feel so boring to me these days. The old ones had more insides more tastefull things and more of your style and your energy ..
It's because the Michael / Christian chemistry worked. File it under all good things must come to an end.
@@jackblah5842 The time I really enjoyed was the Time when there was Rolly around with his Wine and Anna with her Polerouter and the whole crew was behind it :)
@@timur9429 Yes I did look forward to hearing Anna say Polerouter :P
I know what your hat says about you.
That he’s employed?
What a crock, the most expensive watch I have personally seen was on the wrist of a French man who looked like a big of walking rags, He had an old gold beautiful Patek Philippe, He looked like a farmer just out of the fields, but no, he was a wine owning millionaire. So judge all you like, but that says more about you guys
zenith- mak kau hijau.
Death, taxes and Christan glazing precious metal watches.
'Tallica hat ;)
I miss Michael. 🥲
Did he leave?
Nice video, but I enjoy the hearing about the douche watches lol.
NOBODY gives a damn what watch you wear.
silly exercise.
This is child talking about watches.......That's what I think. This is a guy that went to some third rate college.......stop
This shit is so pretentious lmao
when i see a wht trash apple watch on someone that tells me all i need to know about them
Sorry can’t get past the hat and goodwill sweater. Looking like a Capitol rioter that hasn’t been caught……yet
Did the bad snek hurt you????
Si me hubieses roto la cámara a mi, la hubieses pagado con tus dientes
WTF is Christian wearing, honestly? Pls tell me he’s just going for the alt-right audience to boost his numbers and not that he’s on a Paul Thorpe fascist arc.
terrible hat says you think you know what you’re talking about when discussing politics (but don’t)
😢
That's essentially the entire libertarian movement lol
@@ChrisHunterLive congratulations - that's the joke
I don’t get why this hat is so triggering? Unless you’re British.
@@MattSeesGray it's not triggering so much as just an identifier for libertarians within the US political world. And libertarians in general tend to be an insufferable bunch
real people doesn't know shit about watches!
The 🧢 got me distracted ! 😔 I’m out!
What. Are you a happy person? If not resolve it.
Bye Felicia
Why are you wearing that hat? I’d love to hear what the symbolism of that hat means to you and why you’d wear something that has been co-opted by some very questionable groups in recent years.
Why shouldn’t he wear that hat?
@@Enriadero If you read the rest of my post, it should be pretty self explanatory.
@@MJT_2.0 yep, gotcha, but it just sounds like you are policing him for political purity (from your perspective) which sounds a bit, you know, October 1917…
@@Enriadero Well, now I have two questions for you: Why are you coming to the conclusion that I’m trying to “police” him? And what do you mean by “political purity?” I simply want to understand what the Gadsden Flag means to him and why he’d wear that hat given how it’s been used as of late. Is he simply saying he’s a libertarian, is he antigovernment, etc, etc.
The guy probably likes guns and limited government, super complicated, right?
If you want to impute any other meaning to it, go be a clown and tell us what the co-opted meaning is.....
