Oh, I didn't realize you were sitting at the table beside us? It wasn't that it was bad, it just wasn't all that good. The buffet was just plain bad. Thanks for watching :)
we did the Miracle last August and the buffet was straight up awful. We tried twice and gave up. That said, the MDR was the best it's been in years for us, and I don't get how these guys don't like the pizza. It's for sure different than, say, Papa John's, but it's amazing. Much closer to actual Italian Naplolita pizza than the American chains.
The pizza isn't American delivery style at all, but it's a beautiful thing in its own right. Honestly my favorite food on the ship. Pepperoni, mushroom and extra basil.
We aren’t saying that EVERY Carnival cruise pizza experience is the same. We like Carnival food actually more than the other cruise lines in general. The pizza on this specific cruise was just not good. Actually pretty bad. That doesn’t mean that the next time we have it on a carnival ship or even this ship, it will be the same, it was just not a good experience on this sailing. The staff was all new since the ship just arrived from Australia, so they were still working out their bugs and trying to get things going. So we understand that things can change.
I enjoyed your video on what's to eat. I just came off of Carnival Sunshine last Saturday and I will be going on the spirit to Alaska in August. I did guys burger the first day I just had chili cheese fries I made it. I only had a hamburger once with no bread. I did a lot of the taco place the fish tacos are the bomb once you dress them up. I also did the creme brulee that was good I'm not a fan of that chocolate cake that melting. I also did some of the desserts that you showed the creme brulee and the bitter and Blanc.
Yeah, we were a little disappointed with much of the food. It was a new crew, so hopefully they improve as they get more cruises under their belts. Thanks for watching!
the carnival micrales is the same. I was not a big fan for the food. I do like the taco bar, guy's burger, and the pizzas. The main dining room is alright right. But the buffet kind of sucks. Seafood is additional charge .
I noticed some people carrying huge plates of king crab legs at the buffet and wondered what was up, then I saw a sign about the upcharge. I didn't catch how much it was though. Agree on the food at the buffet, especially breakfast. Just not very good. The dining room was very average. We hadn't sailed Carnival in a while, having sailed NCL more recently and we could tell a noticeable difference in quality. Guy's Burgers are always great, the pizza was just plain awful. Thanks for watching!
Quick question. What kind of toiletries did you get? Packing for our cruise in June and wondering what I need to bring. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in bottles? Or do they come in dispensers so supply is not limited? Thank you!
You can check out our Cabin tour to get an idea, but it was really just pump shampoo and bodywash on the shower wall that they refill for your. Hand soap was also provided. Cabin Tour: th-cam.com/video/fE8CzHbrQ60/w-d-xo.html
@@hellokitty2848 Shampoo and body wash are there, but I dislike them. I pack all my own toiletries. Years ago they had a sample gift basket in the bathroom with lots of sundries but those days are long gone. Miss the "good old days" of cruising, but you can't keep me off the ships!
They have been reducing the amount of food served on all the ships we have been on this year. We noticed a difference earlier this year and after 6 cruises this year so far this seems to be the trend on all the brands and ships we have been on.
A persons taste in food is subjective. I found the braised brisket on the Sunrise fantastic, had it on the Magic and it wasn’t so great but then it was good on the Mardi Gras. Go figure? I have found most things on carnival to be pretty good, but then like I said, it’s subjective. Some people love the Melting Chocolate Cake, I don’t. On the Mardi Gras this year they did not have bacon every morning at the buffet, not sure if this is the new standard on all their ships or just on the new ship? So there ya go! Cheers!
Yeah, just trying to show the different dishes. Every cruise and kitchen may be a little different. So some cruises may be better. Thanks for watching!
Went on her for Thanksgiving. Never again. Not traditional meal, no gravey. Lots of traing, rough for an 8th cruise. Holidays are a never again. I like homemade dinner. Food was rough. The chicken was good.
Well done. Going on the Spirit Alaskan Cruise next week. Food looks good. Portions in the main dining room look a bit small.
You did not have breakfast in the main dining room??? That is the best breakfast on the ship, every day!
Looks good. Definitely looking forward to this.
It honestly isn’t as bad as you made it seem in this video.

The food look amazing. We are going on this ship next month. Thank you for sharing. 👍 l subscribed. New friends from Las Vegas
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching and enjoy your cruise!
Will definitely take some of these tips on the cruise with us now. Never thought to order PB with the chocolate melting cake.

Mine to and the pizza looks like that on all ships lol BUT I will say that sometimes if you go at the wrong time you may get some burnt pizza :-)

Curious if the food has gotten any better in the last year.
I have to say not many things looked like I would eat them. Maybe guys burgers, chocolate cake and some deserts. That was about it.

The Carnival Spirit had the best gluten free pizza & had buffalo mozzarella so I could have a pizza.

@@DenaInWyo thank you…I’ll just bring toiletries, too.
And def yes to lots of cruising!
Why are the servings so small in the dining hall?

Is all this included with the cruise or do you pay for it separate?
The food showcased on this video is all included in the cruise fare. They do have a separate specialty dining steakhouse that we didn't go to.
Do they change chefs? Ever?
Do they have The ole fashion BBQ restaurant
on the tenth floor of this ship?
Are you thinking about Guy's Pig & Anchor? If so, no, they don't have that on the Carnival Spirit.
No it's called ol fashion bbq they have beef and pork and Mac and cheese
I saw it on valor a couple weeks ago when I went

Good to know! We will be on the Mardi Gras later this year. Thanks for watching!
We went on the carnival Spirit from Sydney in 2015 and the food was AWFUL.
not impressive(the food not the video) great video - gives a good idea of what to get and what to avoid...
Yeah, just trying to show the different dishes. Every cruise and kitchen may be a little different. So some cruises may be better. Thanks for watching!
Watched 3 minutes of your negativity....that was enough

Pizza pirate went down hill, the last three ships I was on, I ate at the pizza pirate and all three were not good at all 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
