- Carnival Spirit ship tour and deck-by-deck walkthrough. Join me in this updated ship tour of Carnival Cruise Line's 2001 Spirit-class flagship, Carnival Spirit. This tour starts with Carnival cruise embarkation and goes from deck zero, and ends at deck 12.
Recently refurbished, Carnival Spirit has Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, The Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Pub, an adults-only Serenity area with a pool and bar, and refreshed public spaces. During the 2021 dry dock, the ship received the new red, white, and blue hull livery paint job, and the previous Ol' Fashioned BBQ .
In 2012, Carnival sent the ship to Australia to sail year-round, which also marked the first time the line was sailing full-time from down under. In 2022, Carnival made the decision to reposition Carnival Spirit to North America permanently after Australia was slow to reopen the cruise industry.
Through 2024, you sail a Carnival Spirit Alaska cruise or a Caribbean sailing, depending on the time of year.
Sister ships of Carnival Spirit include Carnival Miracle, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Pride.
Other ship tours can be found on the Carnival Cruise Line playlist: • Carnival Pride Ship To...

Did my 1st cruise on this ship in January 2023 & it was such a great time. The serenity area was my favorite, the staff was absolutely amazing & so attentive, the ship felt welcoming & like “home.” Would totally sail on this ship multiple times over.
Love the two-deck promenade.
Welcome to the addiction of cruising!
Really loved this video !!
Hello and thanks for your comment. How was the weather in January? We are sailing in December from Mobile, AL and I want to pack correctly.
@@jenniferjjwaits206 I know you can “never” fully predict the weather BUT the weather was absolutely perfect. It was in the 80s every single day, some port days you would get a cloud or 2 from time to time, but never once rained. My partner & I almost went through 2 bottles of sunscreen & still purchased a Clam Shell at Half Moon Cay, so it’s still nice & very sunny but not humid. The nights on the ship were thin jacket/hoody appropriate but still comfortable. I hope that wasn’t too much info & have fun!
"it used to be the topless deck until the perverts ruined it for us" said completely deadpan nearly made me spit my drink! Well done as always Doug (not only for the one liners but the whole tour video itself)
Haha. Thanks for watching bud.
Great overview without taking 30
Minutes to do it too! Thank you. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Just got home yesterday from the carnival spirit cruise, definitely recommend.
Awesome tour Doug. Very helpful as I booked 30 days on Spirit for the Panama Canal and Alaska next spring.
Sounds great! That is a ship I could do 30 days on. Love the layout.
Thanks for the tour, thumbs up!
LOVE the Spirit Class!!!!
Awesome tour thanks so much Doug 😊
So glad you posted this review. I am sailing on Spirit in May and was pleased to see the ship from a professional point of view. Your reviews are outstanding which, is why I watch your broadcast every day. Thank you for what you do.
Very kind. Glad it was helpful.
Cruising on this ship in June 2024. Thank you for a great video, can’t wait to see everything in person.
Great video, Doug! I’m booked on the Spirit’s first cruise out of Mobile on Oct. 6th. Putting the Spirit in Mobile with longer itineraries is going to be a big improvement to cruising out of Mobile.
Hope you enjoy it. I’m going to try to get on one of those longer ones from Mobile.
So are we! So excited 😊
We’ll be there too!
Billboy kindly guide me on this what are the itineraries for carnival spirit, Docking points n it's ports plz?
I'm going January 20th omg I'm too excited 😊
Doug, you did an awesome job showing this ship. Can't wait for her arrival in Mobile, October. Thank you so much brother God Bless 🙏
Very welcome. Thanks, Ronnie.
It is amazing SO BEAUTIFUL ❤❤
Did my first cruise on the Spirit. Even though it’s older, still, a great ship and had a great time. Beautiful ship.
Was on her almost exactly 20 years ago, 3-8-03. Eventually hit all the spirit class...ultimate "cruise" ships IMHO
Agree. Love the class.
We love the Spirit class ships and have sailed on them multiple times. We were on the Spirit last August in Alaska. Great tour video, I felt like I was home!😊
Totally agree, Sue. Seems like a Spirit class ship is perfect for Alaska with that retractable roof mid ship.
Great ships tour Doug 👌
Liked that jungle area
👍
Glad you enjoyed it. No one can ever find the jungle because you have to know what you're looking for, so its the perfect getaway.
Love the style vintage with modern style ❤
Thanks Doug! Going on the spirit in April for the repositioning cruise from Miami to Seattle Panama Canal cruise!
Have fun! I’d love to sail that long on a spirit class ship.
My first cruise was on the Legend. I love that ship. Now I want to hop on the Spirit. Thanks for the video. ❤
Thank you Doug for this tour. Six of us are going Jan 24 and I am pretty nervous, but your video help put me more at ease. Great job... Thanks!!!
You are welcome! Thanks for the support, glad you enjoyed the video!
Love the Spirit Class layout.
Miracle is our favorite.
Makes two of us.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Spirit class ships. We sail out of Baltimore, so we have sailed on Carnival Legend and Carnival Pride. We especially love the design and the fact that these ships aren't crowded. Thanks so much for all of your great reviews, Doug!!!
Thank you, Julianne. It’s a great ship and dispersed nicely.
Same. This class of ship was one of the last gems before ships exploded in size and became super crowded.
I have watched this a few times - such a great and complete video!
Thanks, Kayla. I appreciate that.
Really enjoyed Carnival Spirit. I liked the old style decor. The smaller size made it easy to get around and gave my teen a level of freedom I was comfortable with. The gym was always quiet as well as the promenade.🙂
Thanks for sharing!!
Great video! Thank you so much for this tour. We are sailing on the Spirit in 6 days to Alaska! I’m really looking forward to it and this made me even more excited!
Thanks for the support, glad you enjoyed the video!
When I saw the Spirit was older I was a little bummed but now that I have seen this video I'm more excited. We are only 45 min from Mobile. Can't wait to show my clients this video. The Spirit looks great. Thank you for this video.
Can't wait. Sailing out of Seattle on the 9th! Great info.
great informative video getting me ready for my upcoming Alaska cruise
Thanks for showing the older ships. We've sailed the Pride several times and the Legend for the Sailabration March 2022.
You bet. Do you favor one over the other?
Your the best Doug and this is absolute best tour and looks incredible ❤
Wow, thank you!
@@CruiseRadio of course 😀😀
Thank you for this tour. I’ve actually sailed on all the Spirit class ships. I love them. I sailed the Spirit in its start of its second year out, July 2002 to Alaska from Vancouver BC. In total, 12 out of 28 Carnival ships I’ve sailed were the Spirit class. This month, I’ll have sailed on the Spirit three times total.
She’s a great ship. My pleasure, Jim.
Love your tour and review!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@CruiseRadiokindly what are itineraries, docking points n ports for carnival spirit?
I sailed the Carnival Spirit in December 2022. It was absolutely beautiful, and I would sail again!
Really nice tour.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching, Marvin.
Yes my first cruise was the pride and i love that ship. Also sailed on the legend
Nice tour Doug. We have sailed on the Miracle twice and the location of the steakhouse is pretty unique. Especially with the cantilever staircase.
If you have vertigo it could be an issue!
Thanks for your video! We will be cruising on this ship in May 2023🛳️🛳️
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank You for sharing this tour. Booked this ship on Panama Canal eastbound repositioning in September 2023.
Have fun! Could spend multiple weeks on this one.
I loved my cruise with carnival in February will be going again in July on the spirit
Going to be heading to Alaska from Seattle on September 12 on the Spirit. We can’t wait and are very excited!
Nice thank you
You bet. I hope you had a nice birthday yesterday. Thank you for joining my Patreon.
@Cruise Radio thank you no problem
Carnival sprit lay out looks absolutely beautiful ❤
Have you sailed on her yet?
@@CruiseRadio nope 😀😀
My wife and I sailed in her the second sailing when cruising returned to Jacksonville. We loved the ship. The perfect size for a couple.
Very cool. I did that one, too!
Awesome tour Doug. I love going on cruise. I love theatre on a cruise. When I go on cruise, I will dance at the club with adults.
Thanks bud
@@CruiseRadio anytime
Great job.. Thank you. Going on the ship Dec 9th to 17th..2023
Have fun!
Just got back from Holiday Cruise to Nassau and Bahamas. The only thing i found missing was non-alcoholic beer. I don't drink and I got bloated on too many soft drinks. I switched to lemonade and ice tea. I never realized how many hats each member of the staff handles. Cruise Director Alex was everywhere. The performance team was doing singing at piano bar, lobby and dancing with the cat in the hat. Three of the four comics seemed week. Once was a power house. In general I give this crew an 8 of 10. Swimming with the sharks on Binimi was might trip highlight.
Best tour! Made me chuckle a little too much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My only two cruises have been on Spirit class ships out of Baltimore! Pride to the Bahamas and Legend up to Canada in 2022. I love that 3rd deck outdoor promenade!
Absolutely. It makes a difference.
Thanks for the info going to try to cruise on this ship out of Mobile
I was on her shortly after she first sailed. I loved the MDR on that ship.
I so enjoyed my trip on the Spirit going to the Bahamas last month! I had a balcony room & loved❤it!..I booked my 2nd cruise on the Spirit for Halloween 🎃 week 2024 w/an extended balcony...can't wait! I had a really fun time!😊
this helped because the itinerary i was looking at for this ship interested me, but I'm not sure so many sea days aboard this layout is going to suit me, so your video was very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Great review Doug. We will be on the Spirit next March out of Mobile.
Thank you, Andy. Looking forward to her sailing out of Mobile and doing some of those longer sailings.
Great video! The spirit class is my favorite class in the fleet. I think the Carnival Dream is the only ship that you didn’t have a video on. I would love to see the dream!
Totally agree! Something like that. I haven’t been on that ship since 2009. Will have to check it out again sometime soon.
“Now you exchanging tickets for prizes” 😂 best part of the video
😅
thanks, the video was helpful, I like this ship already. I'll be on her in June. FYI: Luminosa is now part of the Spirit class.
We sailed on the Miracle to Hawaii in Feb. 2022 and we are sailing to Alaska on the Spirit this May. The video was very helpful.
Have a great sailing, Lisa. Thanks for watching.
The spirit was my first cruise for 12 days. I just got off the splender for a 4 day cruise.
I honestly loved the spirit the easy layout was a great introduction into cruising. I loved the splendor but will say it’s easy to get lost lol
Thanks for sharing. I have not sailed Splendor yet. Is that a lot like Spirit class?
Did my first cruise on this back in 2014 out of Sydney Australia. Really wish it would come back to Aus would love to go on it again now I’m older
In this class I have only been on the Miracle and I really loved that ship. They were so much more unique in design than the newer classes. I really want to check out the Spirit in person now after seeing this tour!
It's basically the same. I think Miracle has MUCH better artwork and crazy designs, like the monster in the nightclub.
@@CruiseRadio oh yes, I loved the monster in the night club! I’ve been on a few of the newer ships and I love them but I definitely love and respect the charm of the older ships. There something so special about them for sure!
I was on the legend in 2018. Loved it! Going on the spirit this summer!
Yes, Soulplay is a free art studio where you can sign up for just a handful of classes! I've heard mixed reviews about it being open or not yet after covid. I'm hoping it is😂🤞🤞the spirt is the only carnival ship with something like it from my understanding.
Just got off my first cruise.. spirit.... I really enjoyed 😉 🥰
Welcome back!
I took this cruise when she was brand new. It was 2 months after the 9/11 attacks: also my first time taking a plane- we had to take 2 down and back. It was amazing overall though! We went to St. Marrtin, Martinique and Barbados. ❤
I'm looking forward to take the Carnival sprites to Hawaii 😊
I had a great time on the SPIRT .. ❤
Me too!!
Great tour and thank you for showing the smoking areas! Im guessing no smoking on serenity deck which is a bummer considering its the only adults only area. They need to do some stain removals on the seats in the Punchliner stage. That was A lot of stains and was picturing all the drinks being spilled at once hahaa! I cannot wait for our cruise in two weeks. What a beautiful ship! The waterslide and minigolf look like so much fun!
Taking this ship for the 15 day Hawaiian cruise. The ship doesn’t seem to be that bad. This video has helped to ease my mind.
How fun. Enjoy the voyage.
My family and I just booked the Spirit for our first Alaskan cruise in August. I'm so excited to go on my first Carnival cruise in 12 years! Can't wait to get a few of those Guy Fieri burgers
I'm going on it in Dec just left Valor last month. I really miss those pig patties lol and chillius Maximus
We are sailing on the Spirit in January of 2024. This video helped us decide if my husband should take his scooter or not. We sailed on the Carnival Pride in 2015 and loved the layout, size, and capacity. We are looking forward to exploring the Spirit. Thank you for your informational video.
Will be boarding this beautiful ship and Tuesday. Headed to Alaska.
Have an awesome cruise!! Let me know when you’re back.
Looking forward to Cruising in September 23, for the Panama reposition to New Orleans. It going to be fun.
That's a GREAT TOUR, thanks Doug ....See You in the am ...
Alaska coming soon Bags are 1/2/ Pack ..Wish You are Book.
also ... We all could have those Cock Tails or 12 ...
And , Cruise ON !!!
I am taking this cruise next week…. Thanks for info 🤘🏻
Are you doing an Alaska run?
Yeah we leave outta Seattle on the 9th ❤️ it’s our first time and we are very excited 🤘🏻 ty for the tips
@@summyturbo3211 have an amazing time! 🛳️
Tyvm 💃💃💃
Spirit class ships, especially the Pride, are my favorites.
Makes two of us.
I love the spirit class ships of carnival and the vista class as well
Same.
Thanks Doug!!! You’re the best! I hope you know that!🛳️⚓️🇺🇸
Very sweet. Thank you.
Have a cruise on this ship very soon. Thanks
I love the spirit, had my first cruise on her when she was based in my beautiful country Australia. I wish they'd give her back to us
She’s a gem.
Good times. I have sailed on the spirit 2 times. Really liked it. I think it was the last of the ships with miles of real teak decks and not painted steel to look like teak. They had to cut down a forest of teak to make it🎉
I can’t wait to go on Carnival spirit in March 2024 the first week can’t wait. First cruise was on Carnival valor I liked that ship it was my first cruise and hopefully Carnival spirit we will have a great time
Sounds great!
I was on the Pride for 22 nights earlier this year. I’m booked on the Spirit for 16 nights in September and another 8 nights next February.
I like the Spirit class ships, not too big, not too small.
Booked another 14 nights in January on the Spirit. Puts me at VIFP platinum, yea!
Bee on three carnival cruises! Spirit twice and legend once! 100% recommended, they are sooo fun 0:43
Our first cruise was on the Legend 2012,we sail out on the Pride April 2023,& August 2024 on the Spirit
We're booked on the Legend in October. I am so excited because it will be our first time on a Spirit class ship.
Where will it be in October? I can't keep up. Tampa or Baltimore?
@@CruiseRadio Baltimore
My first cruise was on the Spirit back in 2007 or so.
Have been on at once I'm going to Alaska and the Caribbean on 7 more.
Sailed on Legend 4 times and Pride 2 times looking forward to the Spirit
We took our daughter on the Legend and she enjoyed hanging out in the Enchanted Forest.
My favorite spot.
Took my first cruise on this ship last week. We went to Alaska. Had a great time but they really need to do something about the smell of the ship. It truly smells like a very old hotel.
Love the commentator!
Thank you
I have cruise every ship past and present that Carnival has or had.
Nice! Heck of an accomplishment
only been on Miracle, Spirit in August this year
Nice. Completing the spirit class!
Soul Play does have classes, at least in Sept and Oct. They also use it for a small conference room.
Makes sense
Will be on Spirit in 4 weeks for Panama Canal cruise
Super jealous!
Can you decorate the outside cabin doors? Magnetic?
Yes
Awesome video tour!! How about a map of the ship overlayed on the screen so we can visualize where these spaces are???
Man that sounds cool but it’s much more work than I care to do. The minute they start making me do that they can find a new video guy!
Have personally sailed on both the carnival Spirit and the pride I found the ships to be very similar also while on board the pride I politely ran off underage guests from Serenity deck
That is the way to do it. I wish more would.
I have been on Miracle so it sounds like this ship is similar. Going on her next year in March.
Yeah, it's basically a replica. Slight design differences.
