When I was watching the DotW vid yesterday, I was trying to figure out why Tacklife sounded familar (never heard of it before), only watching this did I realize that Project Farm JUST did a video about what stud finders were the best and one of them was a Tacklife.
Used to work for WEN back in the day when they had assembly plants in the US. As a result, I got to see inside the products we sold, and it does make me sad to think how they got bought out. Excellent for the hobbyist and homeowner who needed something that would work and not charge you an arm and a leg.
I have the following tools from Tack Life and have had no issues with any of them. Digital multimeter 12 in 1 screwdriver 5 inch orbital sander Rotary tool As I said no complaints about any of them. As far as customer service goes the first multimeter I received didn’t work and looked used. I contacted them and they sent me a new. They even said keep both. I cleaned the battery terminal on the first one and it works now also.

I bought the Jump Starter and I’m doing roadside help for folks now just because I love it so much charge my phone with it get the call and use to finish the job and if it’s dark use the flashlight on it to see. Well built product!
Hey bear, I was looking for a digital multimeter and came across one from Tacklife. Model DM01. Not a high end but well above a budget meter. Packing and shipping was good not great. The tool itself works extremely well. Call me petty but upon arrival the rubber protective sleeve was pinched and didn't fit correctly. I did reach out to Tacklife and received no response from customer service. Although this doesn't affect the operation of the meter it makes me question their quality control and their obvious lack of customer service. For these two reasons I will not take the chance on purchasing any other tool from them.
I have a couple Tacklife tools. Granted I don't use them EVERYDAY. But from my experience for things I have asked the tools to do they have done it with no problems. BTW their car jump starters are FANTASTIC.
I have a few tools from Tacklife. The pass-thru socket set is pretty amazing, I like it a lot. Everything has been ok, but what I've bought hasn't been expensive or complicated. I did just get the 3/8" cordless ratchet for the holidays. I am hoping it works out well, but I won't know for a while. The only disappointment was the 100 foot water hose. A small pin put a hole right through it and rendered it useless.
I always liked the look of their stuff for homeowner grade tools. What turned me off from them is when I approached them about a year ago they sent a list of requirements I would have to do to receive one of their tools one of which was a 5 star review on amazon. I could say whatever I wanted in the review but it had to be 5 stars. As soon as I saw that I declined to move forward with them. I honestly think they were just trying to strong arm a smaller channel. Then coincidently they just reached out to me today but it still rubs me the wrong way cuz of all the companies I have worked with they were the ONLY ones that tried to influence a review. Hopefully they have changed but I still refuse to buy or recommend tools from them because of it.
@Brads Workbench same here, but I don’t know how they do it now. Amazon really cracked down on it. 3 years ago Teccpo was doing it. It’s called a “Brushing Scam” now. It’s so crazy now, people are getting random stuff on their doorstep. Look up “seeds from China on doorstep” ... all this in hopes to bump up a search on Amazon..🤦♂️
They were pretty sketchy when they started. Business in China is done quite differently than it is here and I chalked it up to that. They did not ask for a Amazon review prior to the saw video but did ask for one afterwards. I told they that it was against Amazon's TOS and they dropped it. No request like that this time but they were very adamant that if I did a video I would provide a link to the product. I always do but they were a bit rabbid about it. The guy I've dealt with from Aukey was several steps up from the Taklife team in terms of professionalism. I've been contacted by several youtubers at this point who tell me that TL has been reaching out to them to review products.

As a DIYer i try to buy stuff on a budget. My first Tacklife buy was a set of router bits and they perform great so far. My second buy was an orbital sander and man that thing is a beast and a steal for the price. Today i actually bought their angle grinder which i haven't operated yet but looks like a solid tool. Haven't had the chance to contact customer service so far, so I can't comment on that. But as an average DIY user i love their tools.
I bought a tacklife hammer drill and it worked well.Lost my chuck key though and tried to order a replacement. Tacklife customer service has not responded. I wonder if I contact Aukey Technologies if they would make that happen for me? I'm a senior citizen and that chuck key is really important to me. My son uses pliers but that doesn't work for me.
I had read a review on belt sanders and Tacklife was one of the top choices. I had not heard of them, but I bought the sander. I have been using it a lot for a year now and I'm very satisfied. I would certainly consider their products for future purchases.
Anyone have experience with their 10” bandsaw? I’m looking to get a bandsaw at that size that’s on the more affordable price and have been looking into WEN as an option.
I have their rotary tool and kit - both have worked very well for me and i have no issues at all but then again i have not had to try to reach their customer service. HOWEVER - I do put a lot of weight on customer service when doing reviews so this is something i will be checking into.
I love my Tacklife tools! I was trying to stock up on them and suddenly they disappeared from Amazon. If I'd known they were going to be clobbered by competitor bad reviews, I would have gone into minor debt to snap them up before they were gone. I remember there was a store wide sale on Amazon, so I should have known they were in somebody's crosshairs and moved ahead with stocking my tools. For what I have, I use them for 5 years and no problems, ergonomically made comfortable tools with plenty of power. I never missed miss customer service call backs because they were never needed. By all means review their tools, even if they're under a different name now.
Thanks for the info, I bought a tacklife RTD37AC rotary tool from amazon, I'd never heard of the company but as it was around £45 and had more power than the dremel it seemed like a good deal to me. When I received it, it was impressively well made and came with a good starter set of bits and pieces. I use it every day for a variety of projects and it just works and works. I can't fault it, it does exactly what it says on the box. I don't care who owns tacklife, I don't care who makes it, and I don't care if it's made in china, korea or wales, all I care about is its functionality longevity and it's price - so far it's 5 stars on all counts. Be safe and be happy.
I purchased a sliding miter saw last summer. and I wrote a review that wasn't very nice. In 2 weeks I received an email from Tack Life and then a phone call. They offered me a new saw and or my money back. I took the new saw and sold one on Craig's list for almost what I paid for it. I'm currently looking into a Table top ban saw. I was thinking about Tacklifes saw. What do you think about that. Should I pull the trigger or do you have any other recommendation on a saw about the same price point.
Tacklife tools roots started in Germany. Tacklife became a registered USA trademark in 2015 of Aukey Technology Co, Ltd, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. ... They are made by Shenzhen Take Tools Co., Ltd. Made in China.
We've had a couple of the cordless drills from them and some other stuff - all seems solid enough. I can't find anything of theirs on Amazon now but read that they'd been a bit naughty on the "buying reviews" side, so were taken off. Just wondering what the situation with them is now as I may be interested in that compact circular saw?
I got a jump start booster for my car given to me by my daughter for Christmas. I have used it four times and I've charged it three times and at that point some of the LEDs burned out that tell you how many percent the battery has left in it. I don't think it should have broken that quickly only being charged three times is a very low number to be used before something breaks on it
Hi, it must have been when Tacklife first entered the market on Amazon that I purchased a 13A plug in digital power meter which was really good and used constantly, unfortunately last year, years after the warranty had expired, the meter went faulty turning off then back on continuously. Assuming this was simply a breakdown of one of the components I sent an email to Tacklife hoping they could assist me in affecting a repair, their response amazed me, as the product had been discontinued they were unable to send me a replacement but instead refunded me the full purchase cost of the meter, if that isn't excellent customer service I don't what is.
I think your feedback is important. I think that Tacklife should listen to you as to what their customers are experiencing. A good business will always want to hear what their customers needs are if they expect to stay in business. Keep doing the great work you're doing for us Bear! Please keep the reviews coming. :)
I bought a circular saw from them, because i needed one for a quick paid job to do and i had no acces to mine. Turned out it became my most powerfull (not the most sophistacted) CSaw. Its loud, there are some plastic parts which i would like to be metal but in overal... It's really a beast.
Great video. I've had both great experience and mediocre experiences with TackLife. I just purchased 3 SDP60DC Cordless Screwdrivers from a 3rd party "clearance" site and they turned out to have either defective lithium batteries or defective chargers. It would never charge more than the RED level on the charge indicator lights - even after 8+ hours. They sent me 3 replacements and they did the same thing and then they just refunded me and I still have the merchandise. But I've had other TackLife products that I've purchased at great prices which function perfectly - so I guess I'm still up in the air on TackLife!
I bought the mini Tacklife circular saw thru Walmart online at an affordable price, I haven't had it very long but for the price $54.00 / free shipping I was very impressed with the quality and all the extras.
What I want to know, and nobody does, is a comparison of how long equivalent tools from each brand will last. Does a Ryobi only last 25% of a DeWalt,, or are they almost the same? Then you know what the true cost is.
The problem with determining longevity is the use. My dad was a Carpenter Contractor. I purchased tools based on my experience as his apprentice. Now a lot lower grade home owner hobby tools will last until a better product is available. In a moment of insanity this age 77 Retired Structural Engineer decided to rebuild his patio cover. Wish I had lighter weight hobby grade tools now.
Ryobi would last at least 5 years on the field for residential construction. But Milwaukee can last at least 10 years for commercial construction and longer if it’s a fuel tool.
@@davidperry4013 I believe that is your belief. It may not be true. Your beliefs could be a result of marketing or what people say. Or, you could be right. Testing would prove exactly how long each tool lasts. Nobody does that. With testing, you may decide it makes more sense economically to buy Ryobi. Personally, I have discovered that the longer a technology is out, the difference between one brand and another tends to level out, making it sensible to buy the cheapest. I would really like to see a test of representative equivalent tools from Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Ryobi, Ridgid, and others.
@@russmartin4189 Trying to find the answer to this golden question myself. I agree cheap isn't a horrible choice, but you have to find that fine line between a cheap tool and outright garbage. Maybe you don't care if it lasts 5 years, but you also don't want it to have terrible ergonomic grip, a bad design that makes the job harder, or simply breaking from normal use within the first week.
@@vurtualboy There are a whole lot of variables. I agree with everything you said. I would just like to know how long equivalent tools last. Then if I know Ryobi will last half as long as Milwaukee, but Milwaukee is less than 2X the price, I would might go with the Milwaukee. or maybe not. It would be one more data point to factor into the decision.

I own the retractable extension cord, sliding miter saw, curvier saw, jigsaw, oscillating tool and toasty hammer drill. no complaints at all. and I'm sure I'll be buying more if their products. great customer service too.

About a year ago, I purchased 2 tire pressure gauges from Tacklife. I had not heard of them before, but decided to give them a shot because the price was right. I spotted them on monoprice.com (in an email). I got them, and one worked great, but the other had its needle under the stop peg. No big deal, I was able to take it apart very easily and fix it. The only thing that concerned me then, and now, is quality control. edit: Teng tools. I don't think you've covered these. Kevin over on the Junkyard Digs channel uses them. I believe that it's a British brand.
i have several tacklife tools and bit sets, good experience but i have never needed service, and they were cheap enough that i don't think i would even seek service unless something was broken when i got it.
The customer service issue is important, and not having a toll-free number to call India seems skimping. That said with an email only customer support, I would send two emails, from different accounts to make sure it gets thru. But no response to multiple emails, I'm done with the compay, PERIOD!
I'm very hard on my tools, I break a lot of my tools, so I typically favor customer service over quality. I use duralast wrenches, because when they wear out, I go to autozone and replace it, typically that day. My impacts are tekton, because when they break, I snap a pic, and its shipped out next day. Snapon may be better than both, but when I break or wear out their tools, it can be weeks to get my stuff back
I have some tacklife products, they've all worked well. I would recommend them. Unfortunate that they got kicked off, but hopefully they come back on in amazon. Or hopefully they just start selling direct to consumers through their own website, and maybe even cheaper when they're not having to pay 20% or whatever bs commissions to amazon
I have their 1200amp jump starter battery pack. It works great, and is a solid performer so far. That being said, I think TACKLIFE is much like Daewoo, Hitachi, and other big names. They build or have built for them things to cover different areas of sales. Diversify is the word for big business.
I just bought a Tacklife cordless screwdriver just 2 weeks ago on Amazon. Now, a ton of Tacklife merchandise are gone, including several variations of the screwdriver they had on Amazon, including mine. Weird.
ive bought three tools from them, and they are all really good for the price, in my opinion anyway...if you get the chance to use one, give it a shot, i was really surprised with them
Aukey might own Tacklife, but I seriously doubt they're the OEM/ODM for the tools they sell. Especially when you look at the lack of design language behind the brand, it's a mixture of OEMs out of China, or neighboring countries, rather than a brand making their own tools; literal off the shelf rebranding for some of these products. Just look at their rotary tools for example, you have at least three very differently designed tools, where one doesn't even match the same color pallets of the others, with very differently designed cases, there's no consistency from tool to tool, a telltale sign that the company is clearly not their own OEM and is not using a singular OEM, but rather a variety of OEMs whatever they can rebrand for a product; this also extends to their entire product lineup, there's no consistency. It's similar to how Sears ran Craftsman until they sold it, a bunch of products came out of a bunch of different factories. Some of it was Stanley Black & Decker, some of it was no-name OEMs out of China, etc; other store brands are also guilty of this. A mish-mash of whatever was cheapest to relabel. One tool might be great and make the brand look good, the next tool could just as easily be bottom of the barrel garbage. I'd be more curious of the origins of each specific tool, rather than just who owns a brand. I also realize that every brand does do this, with some tools at least. For example, the benchtop belt/drum sander that seemingly only one OEM makes and everyone rebrands. But at least with name brand tools, you have consistency throughout the majority of the tool lineup, which isn't seen here with Tacklife, which is why I'd question Tacklife tools on a tool-by-tool basis and not have a generalized opinion based on name alone. For example, if you buy a Milwaukee tool, you're going to expect typical Milwaukee quality, because they have brand consistency; something that Tacklife currently, and probably never will, have, based on their brand being a mish-mash of varying OEMs, and that'll lead to drastically varying quality across the brand. And yes, every company has their cheap tools, and their occasional bad tool, but the better brands out there still have better consistency than brands that source from every OEM under the sun. I'd imagine Tacklife is going to be nothing more than an end-of-life Sears Craftsman. It's also bizarre that Aukey owns them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a flip for profit scheme; buy out a small name, grow it, then sell it, similarly to the fate of what Craftsman became. There's also no evidence of Aukey trying to become an OEM within the Tacklife brand, unlike with their other tool startup where they're positioning themselves as more of a battery and control software OEM rather than a full tool OEM; which makes me curious about what Aukey is actually doing and what their end goal of all of this actually is. Until things change up a bit, I'll treat Tacklife the same way I treated Sears Craftsman, Kobalt, Husky, and Harbor Freight brands of tools.
My experience with Takelife tools : not robust if you compare to professionnal and premiums but surely in good position in the middle range price category. Support was excellent (at least in Europe where I live). I ordered one of their product. It broke down just a few days after I received it. I was first thinking all the terrible things about their product line as you can imagine. I took my phone and wrote an e-mail to their customer service. They answer to me 16h later if they could ship a new equipment. Received 2 days later! This 2nd one i's working just fine few months later. Magic.
I’ve got a tacklife rotary tool and inclinometer. Both tools are great. Had issue with inclinometer, customer service was great. Sent me a new one right out.
I’ve been sending emails to Tacklife since January2021 regarding the warranty’s, they HAVE NOT answered even one email… The Return/replacement is only for 3 of their reacher grabber’s that I purchased through Amazon & The seller stopped selling TackLife products, so I can’t get another one through the seller! How do I reach anyone for my 3 replacement’s? I’m not asking for the money back, or anything… I’m in a wheelchair, when I drop something; I can’t just bend down and pick it up (like I used to couple years ago). Got their heat gun with digital controls and their random orbital sander. Time will tell how well they hold up but for now in home DIY usage I have no complaints. For all I care these tools could have a different color scheme and a Makita or Bosch branding, they just work without any drama.
Hello have a number of tacklife tools and found them to be quite usable. The only issue I have had was a pressure washer that a component broke on, virtually out of the box , I contacted them and they refunded my payment within a week. I would like to see more reviews on their stuff to get your opinion. In my view the tools are of enough quality for the diyer.
Just bought their cordless electric lawnmower. Cut my backyard pretty well, just recharging the battery to cut the front. The base is made of plastic, so I hope it doesn't get cracked. Time will tell.

I love my tack life T8 pro jump starter and pretty sad I can’t buy on Amazon or their website!?!? Their website is completely dead, tried to send them a chat no response their # on the website doesn’t work either I’ve used it for a year and it’s great!! I use it mostly for charging my phone but I get 4-5 full charges out of it and the battery doesn’t die no matter how long in between uses and I have used it to start up my vehicle once (If you’re using it more often I don’t think that would be a good thing to begin with😅) and the boost works amazing I wanted to buy 2 more for our new vehicles and thankfully I found them on Walmart! Buying now✅
I have a corded taclife digital heatgun that states it goes to a max of 1500 degrees problem I had with it is that I did temp readings it never got higher then 500 degrees but it does work well with all its fan speeds as well as other features though @TheDenOfTools
1500 degrees you say... Quite possible depending on where they're measuring it... Like that glowing coil of wire inside could be 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.

I'm interested in their Tracklife 40V Max 4.0Ah Brushless Motor 16" lawnmower, but again worried about customer service. It has 5 star reviews and the price is really good, but no customer service?
I just got mine. It cut my backyard pretty well. Don't go lower than #3 setting, or you'll be scraping dirt. Waiting for battery to recharge to finish front yard. Might have to buy a spare battery. Mostly made of plastic, so time will tell if it lasts.
I bought a TACKlife 10" bandsaw. It was missing parts and I had no place to try to return it and they DID NOT reply to any of my messages about trying to see about getting the parts that were missing. The bandsaw has many quality issues about being able to cut accurately. I highly recommending AVOIDING buy one!
I have a Tacklife rotary tool that I've used once and it seems to work well. However, when I had an issue with a belt sander, the company fell flat on customer support. The second time I used the sander, it stopped operating correctly and I was unable to complete my project. The sanding belt began slipping and would no longer turn on the rollers and the sander would make a shrill noise as the belt remained in place on the wood while the rollers continued to spin. The only adjustment available is to adjust the belt so that it stays centered on the rollers; there is no adjustment to increase the tension on the belt so that it does not stop turning when pressure is applied to the wood. Worse yet, the Tacklife company refused to address the issue because I bought it on Amazon who, according to Tacdklife, IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED seller. This was their excuse, although Tacklife is all over Amazon. This was a total waste of money.
I guess when you buy tools solely on the basis of cost, Tacklife, harbor freight electric and battery tools and the like look pretty good. If you buy tools because you use them to make a living and need the product to work first time every time, go with well known, widely available, and dependable brands. Also, maybe it's just me but I prefer to buy something once and keep it till the wheels fall off.
What is the deal with the name? An acronym? If they offer that sharpener, grinder, probe-looking thing to test, I would love to watch that video. I think its made to sharpen things like chisels and planes and I would love to find a cheaper option.

I've used and own several tacklife tool's and haven't had a issue with any of them, so therefore I've never needed to reach out to them so I can't speak on the customer service. But the tool's I've used jave been great and I do recommend them if your not the kinda person that needs to run to customer service over every little detail. I know some people like myself with cheaper tool's will run them till the wheels fall off and not care after that. But other's may dobtue same but then complain after running the tool into the ground that it now failed and will want to run to customer service. My thinking on it is simple! They are decent performing affordable tool's, and they aren't necessarily gonna last you decades like grandpa's old timer tool's have. So run them get your use out of them and move on if they fail, because I can say more then likely you will get you're money's worth out of them before they finally fail for what the prices are. I have recently been looking for a new table saw and saw Tacklife on Amazon. When I couldn't understand was they had the same saw listed three different times at three different prices with different reviews. It made me wonder what might be going on with that. I like the look of the saw and I like the features until I noticed the rip fence didn't go all the way across the table. Eliminated that from my choices but still was also curious about why three different listings for the same saw with different prices. Also I seem to see that the reviews changed. That also help sway my decision too. I ended up going with the Hercules from Harbor Freight and I have not regretted that decision. It is a beast of a saw. I just bought their tablesaw last month. The rip fence now goes all the way across the table and can be locked in at both ends. It's still rickety and junk, though. Plus, the rip fence guide on the far end of the table closes off the miter slots, making the use of a crosscut sled impossible...unless there is a way to remove that guide. Then, the rip fence is totally useless. Good luck trying to get ahold of them...
I just ordered Tacklife's Bandsaw. At $250 for the saw and stand, I'm a bit skeptical of the quality, but it looks eerily similar to the Wen bandsaw, but a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Hopefully I don't regret it lol

Well just remember this it's from Amazon and even if tack life won't follow up on it you know Amazon will take anything back.

I did just get the 3/8" cordless ratchet for the holidays. I am hoping it works out well, but I won't know for a while. The only disappointment was the 100 foot water hose. A small pin put a hole right through it and rendered it useless.
I always liked the look of their stuff for homeowner grade tools. What turned me off from them is when I approached them about a year ago they sent a list of requirements I would have to do to receive one of their tools one of which was a 5 star review on amazon. I could say whatever I wanted in the review but it had to be 5 stars. As soon as I saw that I declined to move forward with them. I honestly think they were just trying to strong arm a smaller channel. Then coincidently they just reached out to me today but it still rubs me the wrong way cuz of all the companies I have worked with they were the ONLY ones that tried to influence a review. Hopefully they have changed but I still refuse to buy or recommend tools from them because of it.

They were pretty sketchy when they started. Business in China is done quite differently than it is here and I chalked it up to that. They did not ask for a Amazon review prior to the saw video but did ask for one afterwards. I told they that it was against Amazon's TOS and they dropped it. No request like that this time but they were very adamant that if I did a video I would provide a link to the product. I always do but they were a bit rabbid about it. The guy I've dealt with from Aukey was several steps up from the Taklife team in terms of professionalism. I've been contacted by several youtubers at this point who tell me that TL has been reaching out to them to review products.

As a DIYer i try to buy stuff on a budget. My first Tacklife buy was a set of router bits and they perform great so far. My second buy was an orbital sander and man that thing is a beast and a steal for the price. Today i actually bought their angle grinder which i haven't operated yet but looks like a solid tool. Haven't had the chance to contact customer service so far, so I can't comment on that. But as an average DIY user i love their tools.
I bought a tacklife hammer drill and it worked well.Lost my chuck key though and tried to order a replacement. Tacklife customer service has not responded. I wonder if I contact Aukey Technologies if they would make that happen for me? I'm a senior citizen and that chuck key is really important to me. My son uses pliers but that doesn't work for me.
I had read a review on belt sanders and Tacklife was one of the top choices. I had not heard of them, but I bought the sander. I have been using it a lot for a year now and I'm very satisfied. I would certainly consider their products for future purchases.

I have their rotary tool and kit - both have worked very well for me and i have no issues at all but then again i have not had to try to reach their customer service. HOWEVER - I do put a lot of weight on customer service when doing reviews so this is something i will be checking into.
I love my Tacklife tools! I was trying to stock up on them and suddenly they disappeared from Amazon. If I'd known they were going to be clobbered by competitor bad reviews, I would have gone into minor debt to snap them up before they were gone. I remember there was a store wide sale on Amazon, so I should have known they were in somebody's crosshairs and moved ahead with stocking my tools. For what I have, I use them for 5 years and no problems, ergonomically made comfortable tools with plenty of power. I never missed miss customer service call backs because they were never needed. By all means review their tools, even if they're under a different name now.
Thanks for the info, I bought a tacklife RTD37AC rotary tool from amazon, I'd never heard of the company but as it was around £45 and had more power than the dremel it seemed like a good deal to me. When I received it, it was impressively well made and came with a good starter set of bits and pieces. I use it every day for a variety of projects and it just works and works. I can't fault it, it does exactly what it says on the box. I don't care who owns tacklife, I don't care who makes it, and I don't care if it's made in china, korea or wales, all I care about is its functionality longevity and it's price - so far it's 5 stars on all counts. Be safe and be happy.
I purchased a sliding miter saw last summer. and I wrote a review that wasn't very nice. In 2 weeks I received an email from Tack Life and then a phone call. They offered me a new saw and or my money back. I took the new saw and sold one on Craig's list for almost what I paid for it. I'm currently looking into a Table top ban saw. I was thinking about Tacklifes saw. What do you think about that. Should I pull the trigger or do you have any other recommendation on a saw about the same price point.

I got a jump start booster for my car given to me by my daughter for Christmas. I have used it four times and I've charged it three times and at that point some of the LEDs burned out that tell you how many percent the battery has left in it. I don't think it should have broken that quickly only being charged three times is a very low number to be used before something breaks on it

Hi, it must have been when Tacklife first entered the market on Amazon that I purchased a 13A plug in digital power meter which was really good and used constantly, unfortunately last year, years after the warranty had expired, the meter went faulty turning off then back on continuously. Assuming this was simply a breakdown of one of the components I sent an email to Tacklife hoping they could assist me in affecting a repair, their response amazed me, as the product had been discontinued they were unable to send me a replacement but instead refunded me the full purchase cost of the meter, if that isn't excellent customer service I don't what is.
I think your feedback is important. I think that Tacklife should listen to you as to what their customers are experiencing. A good business will always want to hear what their customers needs are if they expect to stay in business. Keep doing the great work you're doing for us Bear! Please keep the reviews coming. :)
I bought a circular saw from them, because i needed one for a quick paid job to do and i had no acces to mine. Turned out it became my most powerfull (not the most sophistacted) CSaw. Its loud, there are some plastic parts which i would like to be metal but in overal... It's really a beast.

Great video. I've had both great experience and mediocre experiences with TackLife. I just purchased 3 SDP60DC Cordless Screwdrivers from a 3rd party "clearance" site and they turned out to have either defective lithium batteries or defective chargers. It would never charge more than the RED level on the charge indicator lights - even after 8+ hours. They sent me 3 replacements and they did the same thing and then they just refunded me and I still have the merchandise. But I've had other TackLife products that I've purchased at great prices which function perfectly - so I guess I'm still up in the air on TackLife!
I bought the mini Tacklife circular saw thru Walmart online at an affordable price, I haven't had it very long but for the price $54.00 / free shipping I was very impressed with the quality and all the extras.
What I want to know, and nobody does, is a comparison of how long equivalent tools from each brand will last. Does a Ryobi only last 25% of a DeWalt,, or are they almost the same? Then you know what the true cost is.
The problem with determining longevity is the use. My dad was a Carpenter Contractor. I purchased tools based on my experience as his apprentice. Now a lot lower grade home owner hobby tools will last until a better product is available. In a moment of insanity this age 77 Retired Structural Engineer decided to rebuild his patio cover. Wish I had lighter weight hobby grade tools now.
Ryobi would last at least 5 years on the field for residential construction. But Milwaukee can last at least 10 years for commercial construction and longer if it’s a fuel tool.
@@davidperry4013 I believe that is your belief. It may not be true. Your beliefs could be a result of marketing or what people say. Or, you could be right. Testing would prove exactly how long each tool lasts. Nobody does that. With testing, you may decide it makes more sense economically to buy Ryobi. Personally, I have discovered that the longer a technology is out, the difference between one brand and another tends to level out, making it sensible to buy the cheapest. I would really like to see a test of representative equivalent tools from Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Ryobi, Ridgid, and others.
@@russmartin4189 Trying to find the answer to this golden question myself. I agree cheap isn't a horrible choice, but you have to find that fine line between a cheap tool and outright garbage. Maybe you don't care if it lasts 5 years, but you also don't want it to have terrible ergonomic grip, a bad design that makes the job harder, or simply breaking from normal use within the first week.

Then if I know Ryobi will last half as long as Milwaukee, but Milwaukee is less than 2X the price, I would might go with the Milwaukee. or maybe not. I own the retractable extension cord, sliding miter saw, curvier saw, jigsaw, oscillating tool and toasty hammer drill. no complaints at all. and I'm sure I'll be buying more if their products. great customer service too.

About a year ago, I purchased 2 tire pressure gauges from Tacklife. I had not heard of them before, but decided to give them a shot because the price was right. I spotted them on monoprice.com (in an email). I got them, and one worked great, but the other had its needle under the stop peg. No big deal, I was able to take it apart very easily and fix it. The only thing that concerned me then, and now, is quality control.
edit: Teng tools. I don't think you've covered these. Kevin over on the Junkyard Digs channel uses them. I believe that it's a British brand.
i have several tacklife tools and bit sets, good experience but i have never needed service, and they were cheap enough that i don't think i would even seek service unless something was broken when i got it.

The customer service issue is important, and not having a toll-free number to call India seems skimping. That said with an email only customer support, I would send two emails, from different accounts to make sure it gets thru. But no response to multiple emails, I'm done with the compay, PERIOD!
I'm very hard on my tools, I break a lot of my tools, so I typically favor customer service over quality. I use duralast wrenches, because when they wear out, I go to autozone and replace it, typically that day. My impacts are tekton, because when they break, I snap a pic, and its shipped out next day. Snapon may be better than both, but when I break or wear out their tools, it can be weeks to get my stuff back

I have some tacklife products, they've all worked well. I would recommend them. Unfortunate that they got kicked off, but hopefully they come back on in amazon. Or hopefully they just start selling direct to consumers through their own website, and maybe even cheaper when they're not having to pay 20% or whatever bs commissions to amazon
I have their 1200amp jump starter battery pack. It works great, and is a solid performer so far. That being said, I think TACKLIFE is much like Daewoo, Hitachi, and other big names. They build or have built for them things to cover different areas of sales. Diversify is the word for big business.

Aukey might own Tacklife, but I seriously doubt they're the OEM/ODM for the tools they sell. Especially when you look at the lack of design language behind the brand, it's a mixture of OEMs out of China, or neighboring countries, rather than a brand making their own tools; literal off the shelf rebranding for some of these products. Just look at their rotary tools for example, you have at least three very differently designed tools, where one doesn't even match the same color pallets of the others, with very differently designed cases, there's no consistency from tool to tool, a telltale sign that the company is clearly not their own OEM and is not using a singular OEM, but rather a variety of OEMs whatever they can rebrand for a product; this also extends to their entire product lineup, there's no consistency.
It's similar to how Sears ran Craftsman until they sold it, a bunch of products came out of a bunch of different factories. Some of it was Stanley Black & Decker, some of it was no-name OEMs out of China, etc; other store brands are also guilty of this. A mish-mash of whatever was cheapest to relabel. One tool might be great and make the brand look good, the next tool could just as easily be bottom of the barrel garbage. I'd be more curious of the origins of each specific tool, rather than just who owns a brand.
I also realize that every brand does do this, with some tools at least. For example, the benchtop belt/drum sander that seemingly only one OEM makes and everyone rebrands. But at least with name brand tools, you have consistency throughout the majority of the tool lineup, which isn't seen here with Tacklife, which is why I'd question Tacklife tools on a tool-by-tool basis and not have a generalized opinion based on name alone. For example, if you buy a Milwaukee tool, you're going to expect typical Milwaukee quality, because they have brand consistency; something that Tacklife currently, and probably never will, have, based on their brand being a mish-mash of varying OEMs, and that'll lead to drastically varying quality across the brand. And yes, every company has their cheap tools, and their occasional bad tool, but the better brands out there still have better consistency than brands that source from every OEM under the sun.
I'd imagine Tacklife is going to be nothing more than an end-of-life Sears Craftsman. It's also bizarre that Aukey owns them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a flip for profit scheme; buy out a small name, grow it, then sell it, similarly to the fate of what Craftsman became. There's also no evidence of Aukey trying to become an OEM within the Tacklife brand, unlike with their other tool startup where they're positioning themselves as more of a battery and control software OEM rather than a full tool OEM; which makes me curious about what Aukey is actually doing and what their end goal of all of this actually is. Until things change up a bit, I'll treat Tacklife the same way I treated Sears Craftsman, Kobalt, Husky, and Harbor Freight brands of tools.
Have a couple of their diagnostic tools. Seem a bit borderline cheaply made, but the items I got worked as advertised.
My experience with Takelife tools : not robust if you compare to professionnal and premiums but surely in good position in the middle range price category. Support was excellent (at least in Europe where I live). I ordered one of their product. It broke down just a few days after I received it. I was first thinking all the terrible things about their product line as you can imagine. I took my phone and wrote an e-mail to their customer service. They answer to me 16h later if they could ship a new equipment. Received 2 days later! This 2nd one i's working just fine few months later. Magic.

Got their heat gun with digital controls and their random orbital sander. Time will tell how well they hold up but for now in home DIY usage I have no complaints. For all I care these tools could have a different color scheme and a Makita or Bosch branding, they just work without any drama.

Hello have a number of tacklife tools and found them to be quite usable. The only issue I have had was a pressure washer that a component broke on, virtually out of the box , I contacted them and they refunded my payment within a week. I would like to see more reviews on their stuff to get your opinion. In my view the tools are of enough quality for the diyer.
Bought a Tacklife SDS, it works great and comes a with a case, bits, grease and tools.

Just bought their cordless electric lawnmower. Cut my backyard pretty well, just recharging the battery to cut the front. The base is made of plastic, so I hope it doesn't get cracked. Time will tell.

I love my tack life T8 pro jump starter and pretty sad I can’t buy on Amazon or their website!?!? Their website is completely dead, tried to send them a chat no response their # on the website doesn’t work either I’ve used it for a year and it’s great!! I use it mostly for charging my phone but I get 4-5 full charges out of it and the battery doesn’t die no matter how long in between uses and I have used it to start up my vehicle once (If you’re using it more often I don’t think that would be a good thing to begin with😅) and the boost works amazing I wanted to buy 2 more for our new vehicles and thankfully I found them on Walmart! Buying now✅

I have a corded taclife digital heatgun that states it goes to a max of 1500 degrees problem I had with it is that I did temp readings it never got higher then 500 degrees but it does work well with all its fan speeds as well as other features though @TheDenOfTools

I just got mine. It cut my backyard pretty well. Don't go lower than #3 setting, or you'll be scraping dirt. Waiting for battery to recharge to finish front yard. Might have to buy a spare battery. Mostly made of plastic, so time will tell if it lasts.

I bought a TACKlife 10" bandsaw. It was missing parts and I had no place to try to return it and they DID NOT reply to any of my messages about trying to see about getting the parts that were missing. The bandsaw has many quality issues about being able to cut accurately. I highly recommending AVOIDING buy one!
I bought one of their hammer drills a few months ago and put a bunch of holes into poured solid concrete walls. Did a good job. Seems OK to me.
I have a Tacklife rotary tool that I've used once and it seems to work well. However, when I had an issue with a belt sander, the company fell flat on customer support. The second time I used the sander, it stopped operating correctly and I was unable to complete my project. The sanding belt began slipping and would no longer turn on the rollers and the sander would make a shrill noise as the belt remained in place on the wood while the rollers continued to spin. The only adjustment available is to adjust the belt so that it stays centered on the rollers; there is no adjustment to increase the tension on the belt so that it does not stop turning when pressure is applied to the wood. Worse yet, the Tacklife company refused to address the issue because I bought it on Amazon who, according to Tacdklife, IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED seller. This was their excuse, although Tacklife is all over Amazon. This was a total waste of money.
I guess when you buy tools solely on the basis of cost, Tacklife, harbor freight electric and battery tools and the like look pretty good. If you buy tools because you use them to make a living and need the product to work first time every time, go with well known, widely available, and dependable brands. Also, maybe it's just me but I prefer to buy something once and keep it till the wheels fall off.

What is the deal with the name? An acronym? If they offer that sharpener, grinder, probe-looking thing to test, I would love to watch that video. I think its made to sharpen things like chisels and planes and I would love to find a cheaper option.

I've used and own several tacklife tool's and haven't had a issue with any of them, so therefore I've never needed to reach out to them so I can't speak on the customer service. But the tool's I've used jave been great and I do recommend them if your not the kinda person that needs to run to customer service over every little detail. I know some people like myself with cheaper tool's will run them till the wheels fall off and not care after that. But other's may dobtue same but then complain after running the tool into the ground that it now failed and will want to run to customer service. My thinking on it is simple! They are decent performing affordable tool's, and they aren't necessarily gonna last you decades like grandpa's old timer tool's have. So run them get your use out of them and move on if they fail, because I can say more then likely you will get you're money's worth out of them before they finally fail for what the prices are. I have recently been looking for a new table saw and saw Tacklife on Amazon. When I couldn't understand was they had the same saw listed three different times at three different prices with different reviews. It made me wonder what might be going on with that. I like the look of the saw and I like the features until I noticed the rip fence didn't go all the way across the table. Eliminated that from my choices but still was also curious about why three different listings for the same saw with different prices. Also I seem to see that the reviews changed. That also help sway my decision too. I ended up going with the Hercules from Harbor Freight and I have not regretted that decision. It is a beast of a saw. I just bought their tablesaw last month. The rip fence now goes all the way across the table and can be locked in at both ends. It's still rickety and junk, though. Plus, the rip fence guide on the far end of the table closes off the miter slots, making the use of a crosscut sled impossible...unless there is a way to remove that guide. Then, the rip fence is totally useless. Good luck trying to get ahold of them...
Thanks for the info. Now I'm not hesitant to look at their stuff. I own plenty of aukey products and would buy them again if needed
I just ordered Tacklife's Bandsaw. At $250 for the saw and stand, I'm a bit skeptical of the quality, but it looks eerily similar to the Wen bandsaw, but a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Hopefully I don't regret it lol

Very little meat on this bone- especially considering the length.
