    Thank you so much for this video! I've been diligent about applying oil to my nails but they STILL crack and peel soooo easily! It's been driving me crazy. But I think they are very similar to this client's, so I'm hopeful that means using the mavala hardener may help me. Unfortunately they are quite damaged right now so I have to wait a while, but I'm so glad to see this example of nails that look like mine!

    Mavala changed my life! First and foremost, your channel changed my life bc you are where I learned of Mavala, jojoba oil, kerasol and finally Dazzle Dry.
    I am at 1 full year of diligent Mavala, jojoba and kerasol use and for the 1st time in my entire life my nails are long, strong, not peeling and beautiful! I am in awe every time I look down at my beautifully manicured long dazzle dry nails. I had blamed genetics and lost hope before you. Thank you so much 😭

      Hi ! What is the kerasol product you are using on your nails?

    • @KellandraValentine
      @KellandraValentine 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      The Kerasol intensive foot repair ointment. It’s a miracle ointment for dried skin not only on the feet, but on and around the nails.

      Ok I’m going to try this! My nails are similar to her client’s nails: I even have a nail that splits from a door slamming into it in college years ago. I’ve had to baby that nail and occasionally it splits:(
      I use jojoba oil frequently but I’ll add these other products as well.

      @ thank you for this information! I have thin, bendy nails, so I’m really hoping I can find this and try it. I use jojoba oil and it’s works great on my cuticles. I’m also going to try the Dazzle Dry. Big help!

    Between learning soaking techniques and regular nail care from you, I added diatomaceous earth (food grade) and Mavala and my nails are so hard and healthy. When I paint them, they look like professional gel nails they’re so beautiful!

    I have a nail like that with a vertical line that will crack if the tip is too long. I find since I have been using jojoba oil for a year the vertical line is less noticeable and the tip is less prone to cracking and breaking. Thank you for recommending the jojoba oil and a simple manicure routine.

    • @TheSalonLife

      Yes. Jojoba will condition the nail so it’s less likely to split.

    Another wonderful video! Have you heard of a product by Liaison? They manufacture a nail serum. The ingredients are; cottonseed oil, olive oil, vitamin E acetate, palmitoyl-tripeptide-1, myristoyl-pentapeptide-4, acetyl-tetrapeptide-3 and hexapeptide-3. Would love your opinion on these ingredients. The claims are that the serum strengthens the nails, improves the condition of the nail plate and helps facilitate growth.

    Out of curiosity, how does it differ to OPI Repair Mode?

    I have psoriasis, but it only shows up because my nails are extremely soft and split horizontally. The only thing that really helped me was oil after every hand wash, Kerasal cream in the evening and „Sililevo“ polish once a day
    I'm very happy with my nails now 🙏🏼

    Thank you for this video! 👌
    I only have the oposite- problem with my thumbs.
    My thumb nails are kept short, but still keep breaking in the stress area on sides (both thumbs).
    I oil them after each wash and do oil soaks as well, started three months ago when removed gel polish.
    Could OPI Repair Mode Bond Building or CND Rescuerxx help?
    Could it be that they need to grow out longer with the oiling routine or some other solution.
    I have no peeling (oiling fixed it) and my nails are strong, thumbs in particular.

      I have been using this product for 9 months because my nails were peeling, in addition to being very soft and flexible. I can say this product has worked for both situations. My nails do not peel anymore, it took maybe weeks 2-3 months. I also oil my nails frequently which helps with peeling.

    Thank you so much! I already learnt so much from you. I think I have quite similar nails - even weaker though and very ridgy. I will try Mavala. And I‘m wondering if a nail polish would help too? My nails tend to get very wide on the tips and I have a split nail like the lady in the video too. Is oil helpful, even if the nails have polish on them?

      Mavala Strong is not a hardener. Just a nail polish It has a mastic gum but I have a feeling that is as effective as having a blueberry in a muffing thinking it’s healthy. Mastic gum is not a hardener really either.
      Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua), Etocrylene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Palmitate, Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Polysorbate 80, Sorbitan Stearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Arginine, Lecithin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Violet 2 (CI 60725).
      Saludos desde Costa Brava 😘

    How would you recommend exfoliating the hardened skin for people doing their own nails at home?

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      When you care for your skin like I suggest there is barely anything to exfoliate.
      And the routine is very simple. If you are prone to hard skin around the nails use only gentle cleanser. Drop of oil after hand wash. A dab of Kerasal ointment at night. That’s it.

    I have a question about cutting “live tissue”
    I have been watching your videos for about a month now, and also doing your weekly manis, oiling a bunch, pushing back pnf etc.. I have seen an improvement in my skin around my nails but I still seem to have a more pronounced pnf even though it has improved a ton.
    When I tried painting them w reg polish for the first time, I kept getting the nail polish bleeding/spreading underneath the pnf and it looks horrible and makes it so hard to clean up.
    I’m not a bad polisher I promise.. but the polish getting under there is bothering me. Can you advise if I am one of those cases that needs to cut a little?

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm literally just writing routines for a beautiful nail contour. And no, the skin will shrink, there is never a case that you need to cut it ;)
      Can you maybe send me a picture so I can comment on it and use it in my materials?
      I describe how to take photos here:
