I suggest setting the blending mode of the layer to Linear burn and set the opacity below 35. This is how I use it and I think it's better that way.

Thanks for your question! I recommend that you select the section before you do this process. You can do this with the magic wand tool or lasso tool. An alternative way is to use clipping.

Thank you!! What I know so far is that a big size canvas and many layers make your ibispaint x slow. I recommend that you use "SD Size" canvas at first. If it still lags, try to make a smaller canvas.

Oh... This technique also works on different digital tools, if the tool has blending modes. If the tool doesn't have any texture in it, try to find paper texture material on the internet and download it.

You can make your original texture by taking a picture. Take a picture of something and then import the picture. How to use it is the same as how I used the color textures in this tutorial.
