Yo, very recent subscriber but i have a question ive wanted to ask someone for a while. Im a dk/k rool main and am very dedicated to these characters and i used to be really invested in the online meta a few years ago but since then ive stopped due to mental health reasons but after a long period of time ive been wanting to get back into the scene and show off my skills. So onto my question, how do you enter the competitive scene? Should i try and find offline locals or should i find online tournaments again? Should i grind arenas till im the very best that no one ever was? Its a boring question but id like to know what you think

trixx can you make a vid on how to improve by vod reviewing, and what specifically to look for when doing so?

My question: How to get consistent with parrying and reading your opponents attack timings.

My question: how to stay calm during the match? It feels like emotions, stress and fast heart beat occasionally distract from what's happening on tge screen causing me to make mistakes and because of that lose

How can i play more aggresively?
I'm playing mii swordfighter, and analysing some sets of miya's streams playing the character, his main difference is that he just goes in, he reads people, pressures shields, gets early kills, goes for crazy edgeguards etc etc. And i'm probably not comparable to the fundamental level of one of the best players in the world but little by little i'd like to play more like that, but i mostly play more bait and punish rather than proactively making stuff happen

    From my experience, yea lol.
There's been so many times I've felt like picking up a secondary. Each time, it was me being too focused on getting good results.
When I would try to pick up a secondary, it wasn't cuz I WAS inadequate; It's cuz I FELT inadequate. The feeling hurts more than being.
And every time I regained confidence, I'd play the way I know I can play, and the secondary disappears.
Not to say my experience is universal, but nothing wrong with sharing my adventures lol
Just remember, the most important thing at the end of the day, whether you play comp or casually, it's to enjoy your time (or at least mostly enjoy it lol).

How deliberate should my play be ? Recently I understood by talking to other competitors that I was thinking too much during my games about everything the opponent does, but that it was at the cost of not actually imposing my own gameplan. Then when should I be in autopilot and when is it important to pay attention to my opponent in order to counter their gameplan ? Like I know how to spot bad habits etc but how and when can I adapt on a larger scale throughout the set ?

How much time should I invest in warming up/practicing if I have a 9-5 job?

Whatever time you can make. What's your goal? Beat your friends? Win locals?

@ProjectStarLIGHTS beat friends is fine, locals I definitely want to shot for the top ten at least.

Hey Trixx! Good video as usual!
How do you better analyze a player’s habits? Specifically, a decent or competent player who is able to adapt and analyze as well? I have a friend group who I play with sometimes that I’m able to analyze easily because they don’t play the game as much and their movements are slow so I can study them easily.
When it comes to better players though, or even just players that have better movement that can be hard to keep up with, I feel like it’s really hard for my mind to keep up and try to recognize habits and predict what they might do. It’s a little easier when my opponent is also playing patient, but for characters like Roy, Fox, and characters of that nature I seriously can’t keep up.

A lot of players say punishment execution and optimal inputs are NEEDED to win. How far can fundamentals and decision making take you? I’ve played Smash since I was young and am simply not fast enough to keep up with the meta.

Thx for the video Trixx, you really opened my eyes in some aspects of even myself.
Btw, it's pronounced Lewis Miguel Chereno (the "e" as in meet) Oheda (the "e" as in letter)
Why you English people have to sounds for the same symbol, doesn't make any sense XD. Anyways nice video 👍

Trix, How the hell do I let go of my ego? every time I face some buttface looking incin, k rool, or rosa. I end up losing, but I know for a fact I can beat them. Gimmicks stink to fight (or just agro-asf players). (Main: fox) I’m using Mii sword fighter for now, and I’m not trying at all, yet I’m doing better... long ahh comment, but ONE LAST THING, from my experience, adaptation is the best way to win. Good content as always… I’m yapping bye.
