    Interesting comment on size and ageing,. As small dogs are genetically modified by humans who bred a smaller dog with a smaller dog until they got a miniature. But I remember that some research on foxes used for their fur on a fur farm. The foxes were very aggressive and were consequently hard to handle, so they thought that they would deliberately breed the less aggressive animals with each other. The result of this was surprising as the less aggressive animals coat colour changed to the colour of the juvenile foxes. So aggression went with adulthood. Non aggression went with youth. So maybe breeding small dogs was like NMN keeping them juvenile in some way. Smaller dogs seem slightly more energetic too.

    BMI is a very poor indicator of healthy weight. My BMI is also 25 , and I am 35 pounds above my ideal weight.

      How do you know what your ideal weight is?

      @@oolala53 It is the weight that was natural for me without effort for all of my adult life until extreme stress and ill health caused my weight gain .
