    Hi, how many kg of olives can you get from 9 trees?

    • @thegoodlife5524
      @thegoodlife5524  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! It depends on a lot of factors eg size of the trees, yield for any given year...i would say i get 45kg of olives (not oil) per tree on average, but that is a very loose figure!! Hope that helps!

      @@thegoodlife5524 Hi, thank you very much for your answer! 45kg berry is a good harvest. How much oil can you pressed out of this amount? I know it depends on how ripe the berry is. about 3-4 liters?

      @@zsoltpradel1776 We get about 1lt for 16kg...Hope this helps!

      @@thegoodlife5524 Wow, then you make very good quality oil. you harvest the most immature berries, right?

    It should be a great honour and joy to be able to pick olives.
    According to Jewish tradition the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden was the Olive Tree while the Tree of Knowledge from which Adam and Eve ate was the Fig Tree, which brought a curse on the human race as they were expelled from the Garden of Eden.
    In the Gospel we read how Jesus on his way to cleansing the Temple in preparation for his death and resurrection, He cursed the fig tree because it did not bear fruit and it immediate withered. This was symbolical that the curse which was brought upon mankind through Adam and Eve for their disobedience in the Garden of Eden would be broken by Jesus sacrificial death on the cross as the true and final Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
    And just before the betrayal and arrest of Jesus, he was found praying and meditating in the Garden of Getsemene in Jerusalem which was a Olive Orchard, representing the new and final Garden of Eden.
    I used to have Olive Trees at my house before l moved but did not appreciate it and took it for granted.
    I am now in the process of looking for a suitable farm to purchase where l intend to grow olives trees amongst other things.
    If you need help picking l will gladly help. 👊👍
    Take care and GOD bless you.

      Thanks for sharing this story! It is both a joy and a labour...We love our olives, but realise that the work is hard (especially when you do it on your own) and that we have an enormous responsibility to protect the environment and this extraordinary world we live in through all our undertakings. I wish you the best of luck in fullfilling your dreams and ambitions!

    You picked 9 trees in one day by yourself!!!! We had two Albanian men and one bulgarian lady and me and they(or we) and only managed 10 a day( 12 at best ) !! I said to my partner this is ridiculous ! It will take 75 days at this rate!

      Yeah it went rapidly down hill after day 1!! Lol! Plus I did have my son helping. Our trees are quite small too. Hope you had a good harvest. I'm going to post a video in the coming weeks about our experience with composting the olive mill waste if you're interested! Anyway, best of luck to you!!
