Very amazing. Any vinyl of Machine out there? Love to hear more. I knew Bobby was with SS Fools before Toto but don't recall reading or hearing about Machine.
Ya got that right Steve, The Soulfullest Singer I know besides Donny Hathaway. Steve was our Drummer, believe it or not I was the Frontman of the Band. Talk about a pressure Gig with Bobby playing Piano and singing!!!
Every MUSICIAN part of music group TOTO are ROCK ROYALTY! Kimball, Porcaro, Porcaro, Porcaro, Paich, Lukather, Williams, Hungate....and all the exceptional musicians who " filled in" after Jeff Porcaro died in August 1992, bravo 👏 gentlemen! TOTO is still on the yellow brick road! RIP JEFF, MIKE , JOE & MILO....we'll see you all somewhere over the 🌈..
Definitely "the voice" of Toto. I understand he's having various health and cognitive problems. God bless Bobby Kimball. Good job on this Elton John tune...one of my favorite.
Yep, Bobbys mother taught him to play chords. As a boy, he learned timing and rhythm from a shoe shine guy named "Tanner" a black man he befriended and Bobby's supposed to be doing/producjng a movie on "Tanner" in honor of his friend.
I saw Bobby singing with a band playing Toto hits in a smaller club back in the '90's I believe. In concert he's incredible, but in a club his voice was unbelievably powerful. He could have sung louder than the band without a mic. Great voice. Praying for you Bobby!
He's so good. I wish I play like him. What a virtuoso

He sounds very well when he is focused on lyrics instead of adding yeah yeah yeah every verse. To me he is really voice of Toto. Very good singer. He used to sing as high as he could. Gave everything he had for his fans.
When we were playing on Bourbon Street in the summer of 1973, the place had French Doors opened and the whole street was full of people dancing to Bobby singing Love Train, ya know the O Jay's song. That memory stayed with me all of these years, needless to say, He Killed it!!!
@@oranguidry5118 Oran...thanks for taking the time to share that memory with me. I really appreciate that. You were in the band mentioned in the thread...Machine...with Steve D. is that correct?? I love to learn new things about music...Bobby Kimball of course/Toto (love them immensely) and your story as well if you were on the same path with Bobby at one time. Do you have any old photos of that time or keepsakes...posters etc. or were you guys just too young and enjoying life to worry about stuff like that?? Have a great day Oran. Was never a pro musician like yourself but am playing/learning the drums and guitar the last 10 years of my life and having a blast with it into retirement. Good health and blessings from this music fan from Canada. Cheers. Joe.

Oliver von der Heyden eine der wenigen guten Perfomances von ihm aus den letzten Jahren. Leider ist er nicht mehr der legendäre Sänger aus den 80ern. Irgendwas ist da schief gelaufen
@@jamaljaxson4218 Thanks, but I forgot it came at the end. I know Good golly, Miss Molly by heart and the one line of Dizzy Miss Lizzy for that matter :) The song I didn't know was the long blues/jazz one before that, after the Elton John songs...
He has a great voice but he can’t sing the high stuff like he use to any more partly due to drugs and also the natural progression of time. How many singers in his age can sing high pitch screams perfectly. He has gotten a lot of shit lately. He clearly delivers here and it feels good that he does.
I think Bobby should concentrate on things like this which are lower in his range where he can control his voice and vibrato better. Stay away from Africa and the other Toto songs because he just can't do those anymore.
Good performance and song, however that piano is clearly (to me) quite far out, i.e. out of tune, at least on a number of keys. Not worthy of being played by Mr. Kimball in the first place but if his opinion was that it sufficed, then what's left to say?
Imagine casually walking into a friend's house and there's fucking kimball playing piano and singing his ass off 😂
😂😂😂😂
After all his early troubles, Bobby had a great second act and comeback.
Unique , wonderful voice, Master of masters
so musical.. I didn’t expected Bobby to be such a soulful musician... outstanding!
Best voice of the TOTO.
So agree
And Steve Lukather.
Agree 101% best toto's voice ever, after him fergie, David paich & Steve Lukather.
@APEX mark corrigan no Bobby,no Toto,yes! The best 👍
Joseph Williams and then Steve Lukather.
Hey Guy's, Bobby used to sing that song in our Band called "Machine" back in 1973!!!
Very amazing. Any vinyl of Machine out there? Love to hear more. I knew Bobby was with SS Fools before Toto but don't recall reading or hearing about Machine.
Wow Bobby is on fire here, I'd love to see a full concert of Bobby performing like this
The Cajun Elton John.
Wow,, sounds like an Elton and Bernie song, love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Could sit down and listen to him all fucking day. Doesnt matter what he plays to me.
Thank you.
YEAH BUDDY!!!.....BOBBY KIMBALL PROVING HE'S STILL GOT THE CHOPS!!!
I ALSO LOVE TO WATCH YOU SING CRUEL LIVE WITH TOTO IN YOKOHAMA!
BOBBY, YOU ARE THE VOICE OF TOTO. That's it.

Immensely talented man!
He sang this in our band (Machine) in 1972
Wow, do you still talk to him that's pretty cool
What? Dude you need to do a video or something at least old pics and some good stories.

no no joseph the best
@@philip97224 You have lost your damn mind. Bobby was by far the best lead vocalist that Toto ever had.
Bobby's the best even Joe Williams still says like he said back in the 80s "I'm a huge Bobby Kimball fan" that statement settles it.
Steve & Joseph are much better.
didn't even know he was a pianist, cool!
Yep, Bobbys mother taught him to play chords. As a boy, he learned timing and rhythm from a shoe shine guy named "Tanner" a black man he befriended and Bobby's supposed to be doing/producjng a movie on "Tanner" in honor of his friend.

he must go back with TOTO. love Bobby.
What a performance. Beautiful.
Excelente cantante. 👏👏👍
Great chords
I know Burn Down the Mission from Elton’s live in Australia album. I can’t believe Bobby performed it.
Incredible vocalist / musician , my favourite rock singer !

Now I definitely want a time machine. Break it all to hell once I get back to 1980
Thanks for posting! Haha this guy Bobbie omg he can sing! Lol. Love isn't always, love isn't always on time...
Elton John & Bernie Taupin wrote My Fathers Gun and the song is on Tumbleweed Connection in 1970
I have a photo of Bobby and another friend with the song book Eton John.
I love this Elton album! Obviously I love Toto too! Cool cover. Ol’ Kimb sounds good here
Tunbleweed Connection is an epic album
thank you Bobby :)
well...goddamn...thank you for that...incredible...
wow, impressed as hell, great piano playing and singing ;)

Elton John’s song. Great cover.

❤
Somebody needs to tune that thing
Cool
Great post. Legend is correct. Any idea when Bobby did this or where did you come across this man???? I am a huge Toto guy obviously. Love BK.
He was singing that with our band in 1973, in Louisiana.

God given talent, and unfortunately he didn't take care of it :/
Name of the song?
las canciones son de elton john de su album Tumbleweed Connection y se llaman My Father's Gun, Burn Down The Mission
What's the last song he played?!
Little Richard Good Golly Miss Molly

es de Elton john - My Father's Gun

Idk i like this broken natural voice more than autotune. This sounds more soulful and emotional
Not to impressed with his singing these days but im glade he's still out there doing it
