Today we check out 5 of my personal favorite tapping tricks, I hope they will spice up your tapping technique too! In this lesson we check out how to combine 2 different scales by tapping, we create interesting intervals by tapping, we work with double tapping, slides and much more. The main challenge was using all these techniques in just one lick, hope you like this one :)
Is CueStack still alive? I just watched your videos for the 1st time and really dig what you are doing. New to your youtube channel and enjoyed the lessons. Thanks.
@@jasonhow1970 Hey Jason, thanks for asking! Yes, we're working on the first full-length record at the moment, already in the mixing/mastering phase :) The project will be active again once we are ready to release the next videos and singles and I'll also post an update on my social media pages/TH-cam! This project is quite experimental and it's great to hear that you enjoy the music, thanks for sharing!
Just subscribed to this channel a couple of weeks ago and I'm.blown awayon how professional and awesome these videos are. The step by step instructions are outstanding. These metal lessons are right up my alley. Perfect!!!
Hello Bernth..greetings ..I'm new to your channel..I'm a classical guitarist .(..no pick for me )...BUT..I love your lessons I truly want to continue to advance in my technique I'm able to practice 6 hours a day for the last 25 years ...I studied 10 yrs classical with the same instructor as Andy Timmons..I'm from his home town ..(.though he was much older...) my desire is to continue.. increase ...my speed on alternate picking ...so I can better compose my ideas to a new level ...I want to thankyou..so very much for sharing your brilliant mind and craft of guitar with us ...May God continue to bless you with this wonderful gift ...
Hey thanks for the kind feedback, happy you enjoy the content on the channel! I do love to discuss some more advanced topics here but always try my best to break them down in detail - great to hear that it works for the most part :)
Glad I found your channel,I've been playing for 30 plus years and it's still great to re learn and see other peoples idea and takes on music, thanks for your lessons.
Hot damn!!! Another awesome video, Bernth!!! I've been following you on Instagram but new to the channel here. Besides being an amazing technical player you have a real gift for teaching and describing things in a comprehensive way. Keep it up, my dude. I wish you all the best.
I have found after playing for over twenty years, that going from learning by ear and feel with very little knowledge of theory, note positions, or the modes, is a hindrance. I didnt want to sound like everyone else, and didnt want the joy I was feeling to be overwhelmed with structure or technical knowledge, since neither are feelings, and music to me is pure emotion. DAMN I wish I knew all these things you teach back in the beginning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am no where near this level but I love watching your videos because they make me Think I can do it. You take a complicated compilation and technique/style and break it down so well that a novice can understand it. Amazing teaching and playing skills!! What's the design or designer of your guitar?
Favorite lession yet! Been wanting to improve doing 8 finger spider tapping, not gonna lie the chorded tapping and arpeggio lessions are super hard but definitely gonna conquer and master it, as always thanks for the lessons and keep on rockin!🤘🎸
Well damn....Im trying this over and over and over.......and it has shown me that Im absolutely shitty at double tapping....i have the rest down in slow mode but I need to work my double tapping..good stuff!!!! edit, Ok more work and im getting better at it...so fun to learn and get better!! love this stuff!!!!
Im taking the plunge man! Im joining your Patreon. I want to up my game. I watched a few videos and the stuff at your Patreon. Lets do this!!!....excited!!!
Dankeschön für das stete Zusammentragen von musiktheoretischen Informationen Bernth! Gepaart mit deiner Technik kann man die unproduktive Zeit sinnvoll und interessiert verbringen!
Is there a preferred string type for better tone during tapping? Such as using soft strings as opposed to something a little heavier? Just curious, thanks!
Unfortunately...I already know this from a blind Guitarist Jeff Healey mostly. He used to play guitar like a sitar but by keeping it on his lap. Naturally, finger pressing was easy and less hurting than the conventional way. But good work man, keep on with the good work.
Thank you!! These lessons just keep getting better every week!! Some of those sliding techniques remind me of Dimebag Darrell too very cool! You are the best Bernth! :D
awesome lesson thank you .... i am just wondering if there is a specific guitar that is best for tapping on and how should the setup be ? low action is best?
That guitar is awesome. I have one. A first edition graphic model. I'll never understand why they made the graphic ones neck thru, and your guitar and the Giger S models are bolt on necks...
Hello Deivid, first of all greetings all the way to Brazil from Austria :) I love Kiko, he is one of my favorite players ever! Super clean and efficient technique and original phrasing & music theory knowledge - his work on 'Dystopia' and also on TH-cam in general has a huge influence on me. I also recorded a video analyzing one of his solos a bit, you can find it on my channel, maybe that's interesting for you :)
I am pretty sure I don't accidentally touch other strings, but everytime I lift my finger from the string (even if I'm playing really careful and really slow and pay attention to lift my fingers upwards) I get a lot of open string noise. What do I do wrong?
Bro berthn thanks for this lesson is amazing. Im slowly losing my mind over what tf is the Ghost notes that meshuggah does in their bleed solo anyone knows what the name of that technique is?
