    You`re becoming quite the globetrotter Jayden! There`s no place on earth that has the unique energy NYC has. I think that was a very decent on-board offering from MH (aside from the post-departure snack!) and it`s good to see they`re not making the cutbacks such as SQ is on similar routes.

    I’m honestly really impressed by so many things in this video. The clarity in your voice is the most important thing that is getting the information out to your viewers. Your camerawork is so good it seems like that a professional filming camera was used. Additionally many TH-camrs will focus on just the pros of a Carrier but you have also touch based on the cons , which is a must when making videos as such. The best part of the video to me was when you were walking in the dark cabin during the flight, really outstanding how you managed to capture the feel of the cabin during the wee hours of the trip. Also MH was really popular in the mid 2000s , that I can guarantee you as I travelled on it a lot during those days, hopefully it gets its glory back.
    Keep up the good work Mr Jayden.
    Saifullah, from Fiji.

      Hi Saifullah, greetings from Matera, Italy!
      Thank you so, so much for your kind comment, it's words like this that keep me making videos on TH-cam :)
      I too hope MH will once again become a big player in the industry. Hopefully when they receive the 737 MAX and A330neo, things will change for the better for them. Cheers

    I like the 2-4-2 seating , it’s good for the travelling couple , so much better than the 3-3-3 Squeezy 787 ,which I dislike with a passion . Emirates don’t give out the welcome drink or snacks either these days , I’ve flown them 4 times in the last few weeks and at no time were they offered . All in all a good representation of MH my man .

    • @PandaSoft
      @PandaSoft ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree. Also the older A330 actually have wider seat in most airlines.
      I decided to stop flying SIA once they took the A330 out of their fleet.
      Even when comparing to SIA 787 and A350 I still prefer the older A330. Better seat arrangement and leg room in economy.
      The 787 economy seats are a completely joke and the A350 is okay in economy. I am not the biggest person but not the smallest person either.
      Even though SIA has better flight times then MAS to Perth I am considering just flying MAS on the A330 to KL and then onwards to Penang on the 737. Just note people flying from Perth MAS uses the 737 and A330. Stick to the A330 if you can. Also if you ever lucky enough to fly business class in MAS for Perth to KL. Satay are only offered on the A330 and only from KL to Perth. This is not an option on the 737 or from Perth to KL.

      LMAO wait til you hear Singapore Airlines only having 2 meals on a 13-hour LHR-SIN flight. No snacks in between, no welcome drink or snacks; in fact I asked if there's any light meals or snacks in-between, like in the 8th hour flight, and I was told they will do ONCE they hand the breakfast 3hours from that time. SIA was shocking.

    WOW! I'm surprised Malaysia Airlines still offer supper/refreshments on late night flights even though you didn't like it! I flew Singapore Airlines in March this year to Sydney and it seems that they got rid of late night flight supper/refreshments for Australian flights. Australian bound flights like SQ231, SQ227, SQ279, SQ225 will only be served breakfast 2 hours before landing into your destination, they switch off lights once it departs from Singapore. :(

    • @LC-zi8jw
      @LC-zi8jw 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually I much prefer red eye flights where the cabin lights are switched off rather quickly for passengers to sleep and refreshments are on demand especially when the destination has quite a huge time difference. In that manner, passengers who want to sleep can get a good rest and passengers who wants some snacks can still get their nibbles. This is especially so for red eye flights that are less than 8 hours.

    Malaysian food, has to be some of the best in the world. The shower room wasn't really the best for such a nice lounge was it? Shame. Had some great flights with Malaysian in the past The days of their 747-400's were amazing. It's sad to see the cut backs following the loss of the 2 aircraft in quick succession. Though more recently just as the pandemic was breaking we flew from London to KL on the A350 and it was a far better experience than the previous flight on the BA dreamliner on the same route the cabin crew were far superior and didn't vanish after the meal service. The Nasi lemak on Malaysia airlines is pretty good usually. Another great review.

    Flying to Vietnam in September, Tossing up between Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia airlines.
    There is onlt about $100 between Vietnam and Singapore with Vietnam being the more expensive but both similar in travel time, but Malaysian airlines is nearly $300 cheaper with a slightly longer lay over in KL.

    Sushi's S is pronounced as in "soft" because it comes from a different origin. Sugar comes from the old Proto Indo-European, and arrived in English probably from Old German, so the S pronunciation is closer to the S in Modern German. Sushi comes directly from Japanese in which that initial S is actually very soft.

    just flown KL- Akl on an a330-200. Cabin crew were very good, as was the service, drinks and food., Was a bit worried when the moving map display was turned off, and it was getting dark. It was out of action for hours and we hadn't heard from the captain for hours either. I mentioned it to the cabin crew. It would have been re-assuring to hear from the captain more during the flight given what happened to one of their planes some years ago. Also there were only 4 toilets for the whole of economy and one of these wasn't working. And this was the plane that we were switched to because the previous plane needed maintenace.

      If MH reintroduce direct flights to these three EU cities, I think they can tap different pax segments like never before. All MH can do is to revamp and invest the in-flight services as well as can-do mentality among the season back-end staffs. Of course it is quite impractical to think for a second that we can compete with "state-sponsored" Middle East carriers but MH Hospitality is an established brand for decades and most EU premium travelers still remember the golden age of MH.

    In 2011, as a student on a scholarship, I went home from Amsterdam to Jakarta on an economy, I was also pregnant and bloating...needless to say, the seating width in Malaysian made that 8+ hours flight excruciating; on top of that, one of the 'nice' flight attendant tried to sell me a membership to her cosmetic line (MLM). The toilet was damp and smelly, no one cleaned the toilet during the flight, and the seating was never wiped before a new flight started. The only redeeming quality on that flight probably was the hospitality, I got to change to any empty seats if I felt uncomfortable...no questions asked.
