Thank you for showing us this. This past spring I was at Little Switzerland, Big Lynn Lodge; I hear they're sheltering hundreds of people since Helene went through. We took Hwy 88 on the way down, and the way back. Beautiful country. I hope your life gets better, this scale of destruction is still hard for me to fully take in.

I started my channel awhile back, but hadn't made a video yet. Didn't have any content. Figured with all the extra time on my hands of being stuck at home, there would be nothing better to do. Few days after the storm, we got the generator, then I put this together.

Do you think the dog running down the road needed to be rescued? So sad.

That dog hangs around there all the time. I wasn't too worried about him.

Our little house survived, the best I can see from this video.

Which one? I can tell you if the water got in it or not just by knowing how close to road and river/creek.

Highway 421 which goes from Mountain City to Boone is closed. There's a huge pit where the road is gone. I haven't seen it personally, but there are cops stationed there to keep people out.

they almost have 421 from Mountain City to Boone redone, and the road to Damascus from Mountain City finally opened day before yesterday, so now we can make it to Bristol.
