Kudos to you for trying it out sans milk first and giving your input. As someone who always drinks matcha Americano style, I value your opinion and look forward to more videos like this. Btw, do you have another bamboo whisk? If you like a good froth, you may get it from using a bamboo whisk with 80+ tines since it tends to aerate the matcha more effectively (with a good vigorous back and forth motion). Personally, I love a good frothy matcha! Its texture, smoothness, and "frothability" weighs into my future purchases. I also love a matcha with a long finish, where the taste of the matcha still lingers on your tongue several minutes after drinking it! Anyway, keep up the good work, Emily!
ooo I will have to look into that! i believe I just have the normal bamboo whisk and this fugetsu resin whisk that I got from japan. Thank you for this comment :))
Yes, Breakaway's Blend 98 and Kamakura are my top faves from this brand, but it's quite pricey so I'll reserve it for special days only. Haven't tried Meredith's Astrid tea yet, I'm also curious to see this review too!
I have to ask where do you get your matcha bowls from? The matcha bowl I got in my little beginner set has no spout so whenever I pour it for the lattes it drips down the side of the bowl every time 😭
the one I'm using in this video is from amazon - you can find it here: www.amazon.com/shop/influencer-1adde528/list/4EWL5YE1V1OG?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d

Oooh is the nuttiness similar to hojicha?
not really like hojicha, more like peanutty rather than roasted
@@emwada interesting!
