King Of Race Carbs, or is it? an Overlook

Hey guys, another great score here of 🇺🇸$280 including a K&N chrome filter assembly.
Always wanted one of these 4500 BG Carbs & to have a closer look on what i believe was the best outta-da-box Race Carb of the day (15-20+yrs) ago now this masterpiece here set the standards in the performance carburettor scene.

That is Kelley Ricketts in the picture adjusting the carb. I used to work there for 5 years in the machine shop, and left in 1999. I came up with an improvement on how to hold the rotor for the there electric fuel pump to the motor shaft and designed and made pressed for assembly of the metering blocks.

Before these came out I sent BG an 850 I had on a 440, Worked perfect out of the box. You know them boys at Holley were pissed when he came out with that carb line, he did what they should of done.

im glad I got a BG mighty demon and not the Holley version. I have a 4150 650 cfm and at the time cheaper than a holley HP, the finish is way better than the holley HP

Right on lc302 i agree. I have 2 ontop of my supercharged deal & have never rebuilt or touched them in 12yrs now👌🏼🏁
