I disagree about Franklin and Alton. He clearly cared about his father in the beginning of the series. It shifted once Alton was ready to potentially sacrifice his son for the sake of “doing the right thing.” Are we forgetting Franklin pulled up and saved Alton during his standoff with Teddy? I understand disliking Franklin but cmon now. Franklin has been fooling himself this entire series. He convinced himself that selling drugs was a means to help those around them. He convinced himself that he didn’t care about killing Andre or losing Melody. That dropping all these bodies was for “the greater good” yet each time we’ve seen him prove otherwise. Respectfully you guys haven’t been paying attention this whole series. Everything you’re blaming Franklin for doing or being, he acknowledges himself. That’s why S5 EP8 was such a good episode but you spent the whole time yelling that he’s a terrible person you didn’t understand the meaning behind that episode which was Franklin facing his decisions. The problem is Franklin understands the damage has been done. People have lost their lives and certain relationships have been destroyed. There’s no way he’ll ever revert back to S1 Franklin and he’s accepted that and moved on. I think his story and internal battle give his character a lot of depth. Edit: Like you guys got mad at Franklin for waking up and pointing a gun at Veronica when that’s literally his PTSD. This is what I mean when I say you guys are completely missing the context of certain situations because of your hatred towards Franklin.
Personally, we disagree. We appreciate your input and your interpretation of the show/criticism of our reactions, but we simply do not believe this to be the case. Franklin has always hated Alton, at least since episode 1, Alton was the man who abandoned him, the man who broke his mother's heart and the man that made his mother feel happy while he kept disappointing her by doing what he believed was right. You're right that Franklin has been fooling himself, only to come to the realistic conclusion at 5x08, but we're perfectly aware of that, it's just that it still doesn't make us like franklin that much more than we liked him before that because it's obviously too late for him to ever be redeemed even before the events of season 6. in our opinions, Franklin would be more likable if he woke up when he saw his girlfriend (Sorry, we're bad with names, especially for characters that aren't too prominent) in that drug den. While we do appreciate that his character has gone through growth and eventually did have the depth to start questioning himself, it should have happened a long time before it did if the show seriously expected us to empathize with franklin. at least in our opinion. Admittedly, that previous statement isn't a knock on the show's quality for it's brilliantly written, acted and directed. also, we weren't mad at franklin for pointing the gun at V, we understood what was going on with him, we were mad at her for staying with Franklin after he killed Teddy's dad, sorry if that was unclear. Thanks for taking the time to write such a lengthy response to our video, i hope this helps clear up our position a little.
Cissy is beyond brain dead. Her shooting Teddy literally ruined the show for me. I mean it’s still a good show, but it just makes the ending so stupid. She could’ve literally just let him finish transferring the money and then shot him. Getting that money would of ended everything. The whole damn reason Franklin became who he has has done everything he’s done is to get this money. If Cissy just let Teddy finish the transfer, Franklin could’ve got his money, been done with this whole game and started a family with his wife. Then for Teddy, why the f*k would he say that to Cissy. Teddy could've literally said "yeah one second I'll take you to him after this". Then boom Cissy would not have shot him. Or Teddy could've said a fake prison so Cussy thinks he's actually at a prison. Like his response was the stupidest thing to say. Also, why even bring Cissy. seeing her history with Teddy I knew it was going to be an issue and something was gonna happen. literally should've brought Leon and the whole transfer would've gone smoothly. Franklin would of got money, started his legitimate businesses and got out of the drug game, and live happily ever after.
