      use rudder on take off then when your plane get a higher speed it will usually be weaker cuz of high lift
      then u can use aileron trim assuming ur plane has it

    You should do an update to this video. Gaijin has increased the torque on the engine to the point where a plane is almost uncontrollable. The Spitfires and the German planes have been made the worst. The American planes, strangely, have little or no engine torque, it is like taking off in RB with American planes.

      @@kavalogue Well, you can add another miscalculation. I kept wondering why my plane wanted to veer to the right and there was no way of stopping it from doing so. I went into external view and discovered all the rudders are locking in the complete 100% right position. No amount of rudder trim or cranking left on the joystick, would or could result in the rudder going centre or to the right. Just another one of Gaijin's complete incompetence at writing script.

    One little thing I'd like to point for landing. Use your trim to control your air speed and your throttle to control your altitude. I know that sounds backwards but trust me you can get alot of a smoother landing, when on the downwind set your flaps, pitch up with trim and you will get slow alot quicker and pull back on your throttle and you will start to descend.

  • @GrasshopperKelly
    @GrasshopperKelly 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    if you're willing to give the fw-190 more room for takeoff, she should takeoff happily and smoothly with full flaps at 85ish% and her torque at that point feels much more manageable. when landing, even during your flare I'd recommend keeping her above 10% and pulling back nice and smoothly, untill comfortable you've hit touchdown and want to apply brake.
    using brakes during taxi is also very handy. Lastly, if you fly any aircraft regularly, either practise her glide slope, or research it and test it. If your flying skillfully, you'll use very limited throttle controls when landing, and use very nice, and light touches to the stick to pitch up or down to alter your speed. Not only is it the proper way, it's actually easier when you get it right.
    if your on fire and leaking everything but the window spray. Sure, just land her intact xD

    • @erich930
      @erich930 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      AJ, that almost sounds like a stall. Do you hear a swishing sound before this happens? If so, try taking off at a faster speed and /or making smoother and smaller adjustments.

    • @chithayuanand9057
      @chithayuanand9057 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason that happens is because you dont have enough speed when you take off and the p factor is too heavy. P factor is that pull that your aircraft does without you telling it to, because of the prop. You need to nose down slightly to keep your plane on the ground until you reach high speeds. On bombers i like to wait until i get up to 200kmh before i pull the stick. Depends on the plane

    I dont think its good advice to say go fast rather than slow when landing. It is really easy to fuck up when going fast. Your probably better off going a little slow and landing a little too hard instead of going too fast because youll start porpousing up and down, or flipping or a number of other things

    • @jakerthesnak
      @jakerthesnak  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think your advice is solid, but you’ve got to keep the audience in mind. Those watching a video such as this likely have zero or near-zero sim experience. At that experience level, pilots have issues keeping an eye on the speed and direction of their plane at the same time. Going too fast will lead to bouncy landings, going too slow will lead to stalls and crashes.

    Propeller torque... I think its air rotating around fuselage and hitting oneside of rudder on take off. That might be what Propeller torque means.

    • @schell0118
      @schell0118 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      mossaic13
      No. Propeller torque is the equal and opposite effect that results from the spin of the prop itself. It happens in flight when you increase power and you have to counter the roll it causes using the ailerons. The effect which happens on take off is more of an aerodynamic effect caused by the vortex of compressed air behind the spinning prop.
      The vortex causes a variance in air pressure on one side of the aircraft, which side is determined by the rotation of the prop whether clockwise or anti-clockwise. That is why rather than adjusting your ailerons as you would for torque spin, you have to compensate on take off using the rudder.
