No need to set the Colorspace in Color Management every time. Just select the setting you want, and then click the "•••" in the top right corner and click on "Set Current Settings as Default Preset". Now those settings will be set every time you open Davinci

Thank you for mentioning the TH-cam compression grain. Every time I see a "film emulation" video with a decent amount of grain on YT it looks like TRASH. Awesome video!! I got Powergrade II and have never used Resolve so it's fairly intimidating. I've been using Premiere for 4 years so I doubt it'll be that drastic of a change, but this reminded me I need to learn Resolve haha, thanks! Great video as always man!

Okay this is something that I’m curious about because we did take the clip from log to graded but in my opinion, log is all kinda gonna look similar so I’ve never understood showing the before and after because of the after should be good enough that you don’t want to see the before 🤔 I don’t know that’s just my opinion but I’m working on a larger video on film emulation programs so I’ll be sure to show full res versions of the graded files in that one!

Many people shoot on their phone and many consumer cameras do not come with Log file but with a compiled H.246 MP4 format and that's it.
Your title says "EASY Film Emulation For Any Camera in Davinci Resolve". Any camera means all kind of cameras including smartphones and not just cameras that have the option to shoot log file.
People looking into make their mp4 footage to have the look like it was shot on film, and since any footage from mp4 camera will look different. That's why "before" and "after" are needed, to see what was the input and what is the output, and also how to achieve it.
Make a film emulation of 720p mp4 footage that came from smartphone. That's the real thing people wants.
      I hope it was clear.
