    Thank you. You are a great teacher. I have been having the drive to study now in preparation for the Toefl ibt and PCE. It has been put off for at least 5 years.

    Is this type of exam performed into a normal neurological office by our neurologist or into an hospital emergency unity or spinal unity only?

    • @PTExamPrep
      @PTExamPrep  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the purpose of the physio exam, you want to understand how t
      he ASIA scale affects functional expectations and treatment expectations.

    I think C and D are wrong, on the ASIA Scale form it states that:
    ASIA C- Motor Incomplete- Less than half the key muscle functions (50%) below the neurological level have a muscle grade at least 3 or higher

    • @PTExamPrep
      @PTExamPrep  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Shannon! What you wrote above matches what is in the video, which is correct. Is there somewhere else you are seeing something that is incorrect. I would love to solve any discrepancies

    • @shannonhall5797
      @shannonhall5797 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PTExamPrep I see on ASIA C for Motor Incomplete it says, "More than half the key muscles" when it should say, "Less than half the key muscles" and then for ASIA D for Motor Incomplete it says, "More than half of the key muscles" it's just, "At least half (half or more)".

    • @PTExamPrep
      @PTExamPrep  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shannonhall5797 My apologies, I am still not quite understanding the confusion. ASIA C means that more than 50% of the key muscles have a grade less than 3. So that would mean 6 or more muscles are less than grade 3. ASIA D means that 50% of muscles are higher than grade 3. Perhaps the confusion is in the wording where it says half the key muscles are less than grade 3 (ASIA C) or more than grade 3 (ASIA D)

    • @brandontodd14
      @brandontodd14 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PTExamPrep Per the ASIA form, ASIA D verbatim is: "Motor function is preserved below the neurological level, and AT LEAST half of key muscles below the neurological level have a muscle grade of 3 or more." In the video it classifies ASIA D as: more than half of the muscles below the NLI have a muscle grade greater or equal to 3. So which is it? For example, what if exactly half of the muscles have a score of 3?
