To make a (small ) wood lathe from bench grinder you can use any grinder that has more than 100W , using drillchuck in front and DIY tailstock at the end... Sure is not so precize , but for turning rings, inlays , pens or similar stuff its more than enough .. on the other side (if its doubble grinder) you can make table saw , sanding disc, polishing etc... there is almost no limit..
brilliant.. this would make an excellent pool cue lathe
Very cool, going to be doing one like this myself, all power tools are dangerous, so ignore the haters 😁

Modifications: chuck attachment, centering cone, mounted on opposite end of work piece, wired/plug in speed controller…

I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
Woodglut has a lot of plans to choose from.
Could be very dangerous, especially if you don't know anything about wood turning.
driving a car could be very dangerous, especially if you don't know anything about driving
Good point, we all know actual lathes are in no way dangerous, especially if you don't know anything about wood turning
Sooo..what do you do about the tool rest? Any ideas?
