Odyssey’s TRUE worst part: NO post-assassination Memory Corridors!
It funny that the last two AC games went from too long to too short
Mirage was meant to be a DLC when Valhalla first came out '
@@Lord_Drip plus basims starting origins is meant to be slower. as his start was the calm before the storm
its not until the brothers rebellion's (never remember its actual name just the epitat.) which was a huge war similar in scope to china's boxers or tai pei rebelion. multi country and millions die. that's where his story truly heated up.
the problem is by that point hes already a full master assasin running his own burrow, with haythem and merged with loki
fantastic setting for sequal horrible for an origins
because mirage was meant to be a dlc for valhalla. I mean, the story still is a big prequel to valhalla
@@kevind3974it wasn’t bad for an origin story it just wasn’t explained well. In order to understand mirage’s story you have to have played Valhalla. Which was the main issue. Also the cutscenes and dialogue weren’t great either.
@@Lord_Dripinstead y’all cried that “it was too long” now we have a short story, not good enough for y’all
In my opinion playing as Haytham in ac3 was very fun, with his whole different animations
Everyone gives the same answer when it's revelations, but you literally only have to do those tower missions once in the entire game
Only one? At least 3-4 times.
If you level up your recruits early on you won't get any. I just finished replaying it and I only did the tutorial tower defence level
@@kanjiroishihara8725don’t get max notoriety
Same idk why everyone is repeating the same bullishit i also remember doing it only once@@DogMutilator
There are no worst things in Revelations.
If you want there are the worst of the good things in this game
Rogues writing wasnt bad, the game was just too short
I liked rogue, genuinely but its story kinda doesnt make sense the more I actually think about. Like the assassins in Rogue are not the smartest. Achilles who I liked in AC3 was an absolute fool in Rogue despite being the Master of the Assassins at that time.
Also it would have made more since to keep Shay as the Assassin Hunter
@@maniik_flix4837 achilles totally needed more development, the reason why he makes so many stupid decisions is said in a literal throwaway line. I think it suffers from effectively being a rush job of a game
@@friccle_ exactly. There was like no development for Achilles
Im not upset he's foolish. Honestly it would show how he has developed between the two games and become wiser.
But he was just straight up refusing to listen to Shay which bothered me.
@@maniik_flix4837 achilles acting like this makes sense to a degree but its weird how he sees Shay clearly deeply troubled, and doesnt even care to listen to him
@@maniik_flix4837never heard of character development? Achilles in ac3 had time to think about the events in rogue.
Achilles was dumb naive and rash in rogue.
He becomes a great mentor in 3
The worst thing about the first Assassins creed at least for me was the fact that a highly trained killer that can jump off incredible heights and be completely fine doesn't know how to SWIM.
It was explained in AC2 that it was an Animus glitch
yea, ubisoft developers were probably tired out of their mind lamo
@@NoTimeTim Makes sense cus Ive heard they were crutched for time
He can swim, it was a glitch in the animus but im pretty sure you re noticed while playing as altair in revelations and you can swim
@@blackdread2607I don't recall ever swimming as Altair in Revelations when I played. Which memory were we able to do this at?
Origins is the starting point of the creed, while Odyssey if more focused about the bloodline, Isu's tech, and the birth of the Templar. That's why these 2 games didn't followed any of the previous game mechanic, because it's pre-assassin era. Ubisoft also avoiding the repetitive aspect that might caused players complaining to Ubisoft for not being innovative and kept using the same formula for every AC games.
And behold, when Ubisoft changed Mirage back to its root, it failed
Exactly what ive been telling people. It annoys me that there is this amazing history in the game, but people only seem to want stealthy stab stab.
@@Teddysamurai87 to be fair, the series is about stealthy stab stab
@@CorruptTypesyes but when people got that in mirage, they complained.
Ah yes modern-day gamers are so awesome.
@@MikeSpike. i havnt played so i got 0 clue what it has, but all i want is the ac 2 type stuff and maybe a few rpg elements to make it not boring after awhile
Well i do recommend mirage, contrary to what people say the game is pretty fun. The stealth and map are awesome.
In my opinion the part with Haytham in AC 3 was very good
I didn't play past the haytham part for like 6 months because it was so bad.
I was starting to like Haytham and his gang till the plot twist :(
@@ragefacememeaholic5366it was only 3 sequences grow up
@@nivaneh1010 Telling someone to grow up because they didn't like a specific aspect of a game is kind of ironic. Also, you do realize that I have completed the game and just don't like the opening part of it right?
@@ragefacememeaholic5366 it's not the fact that you don't like it it's the fact that you avoided a game entirely for 6 months over something minor lol
Unity's story was fire
Dump fire, yes
One of the best actually if you start to think 1, 2, brotherhood, revelations, 3, black flag, syndicate, origins, odyssey, valhalla, one by one.
Honestly Unity fault (if there's no bugs because i've never found ones) is just the storyline. I just wonder why Arno never met Shay and just focused on Elise. Afterall i remember had lot of fun with Unity, because it makes me feel become a real assassin. Well, actually others didn't have wonderful storyline too tho.. Just like all action open world games, the storyline never as deep as the real RPGs (lets say Final Fantasy Series).
In bad way
Calling rogue and syndicate downgrades is a terminal sin.
Change my mind.
Syndicate is kinda a downgrade
@@maheeppanwar4756how so?
Syndicate was js sad, but rogue was amazing
Rogue is good but in syndicate the story was mid, combat wasn't stealthy or slick, grapple made parkour pointless, time period was meh because of the annoying characters they used
I agree with you rouge and syndicate are incredibly slept on
Rogue had amazing writing...
Dude the Assassins didn't know what the FUCK they were doing, and we're completely stupid, which isn't at ALL like the Assassins in any other game
It was too short
@@codbfhalo98653 doesn't make it bad. It had the best plot out of any AC game cus it actually switches it up from a revenge story.
@@codbfhalo98653short doesn’t mean terrible, it has better writing that other ac games bro tf you on about?
I also keep hearing every click bait short maker claiming "rogue has bad writing", clearly they haven't played the fucking game before
I dont get the "cant play connor for hours" does that mean the story is too short? Cause I enjoyed his character
The problem is you don't even get to play as the character on the cover art till sequence 4 and then you have to wait till sequence 6 to properly play the story with your robes. The prologue and training with Connor is awesome but that means you don't really play as the guy on the coverbox until halfway through the game
Mirage: combat sucks so badly that it actually encourages you to do stealth (which is actually pretty excellent)
no, making something shitty so people dont use it is probably the worst game design ever.
@@oIy__ythey could have gone back too you get seen you get desynchonized
@@Lucky-km1nt would probably have made the game better than a bad and repulsive combat system.
@@oIy__y its not that Bad just hard. Not just spaming attacks
@@Lucky-km1nt fym hard??? its even easier than ac black flag. There is no stun animation, no jump back or recoil from the enemy and the animations dont even look badass. The point of ac combat is to make you feel like a master who cannot get hit and has the most style out of everyone. Im gonna use ac black flag as another example, there was more weapons in that game, more outfits and wayyy more playtime.
As always I have to point out that the only bad thing people can say about Revelations is a mission you literally only have to do once.
The bad thing i hear is that people feel that it was rushed...
AC Mirage's story was perfect length-wise. About 20 hours of story, like the classic games. (I finished AC 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3, Unity, Syndicate and most recently Mirage.)
The worst thing about every Assassin's creed: LAYLA
Why ?
Layla becomes immortal now 🤣
I love that you talk about the story of Unity and not about the bugs in the game
That was 10 years ago, though I have mentioned it before in previous videos 😝
@@IronsideGeorgeI never understand why people will continue to dog on a game for it launch years later
i like to think that AC has two diffrent games
AC the Action adventure
and AC the RPG
that said my favorites of the two is ac origins and ac brotherhood
I always viewed the RPG games as spinoffs set within the same universe, AC origins is the creation of the Assassins, whereas the other 2 are more dives into lore of the artifacts and overall mythos of the franchise, rather than being about the story of Assassins vs Templars
Brother hood was my favorite by far
Getting pulled out of the Animus and having to do real world sections is the worst. Completely ruins the flow and the mood everytime
No it doesn't. The modern day sections of the earlier games were one of the best parts. AC story wouldn't be as good without the modern day stuff, its what made the story special. I dont understand people like you always complaining about the modern day when thats what made these games special.
@@jessicaheller3076 exactly the earlier games, even after Desmond it was kinda okay. I just think they had an idea with Layla but didn't quite get do it.
@@lillief.9045 yeah i just want a better modern day story similar to the Desmond story. The stuff with Layla has been really lackluster and not very important. Im also not a fan of the animus working without the need of a modern descendant.
The good thing is that at some point AC Infinity will come out that will allow for "filler" games like Haythams own game, Darius's own game, Thomas de Carneillons own game and from assassins or templars we havent seen of inbetween that will only have their story and no modern day content since they are only there as filler content to connect the history of the assassins and not an actual simulation of someone reliving it in modern day
I always hear people talk about the tower defense in revelations but I only remember doing those like maybe twice.
Now this is an AC opinion of a content creator i actually agree with
I get so many people saying they disagree - you have made my day! 🤙
@@IronsideGeorgeI don’t think anything could ever beat brother hood and the multiplayer was sooo fun every part of that game was amazing
I loved Valhalla for how longed it was as I actually wanted to play it and I actually felt worth it instead of some 80 pounds cod campaign with 6 30 minute missions.
Black flag was just so fun, i remember the combat being really simple but fun as well and there was alot of customization
I wanna see the full return of the original combat system, miss being able to counter and instakill all the time
One bad thing about mirage is that. We cannot relate assassins to superpowers
One of the reasons I never really got into the fandom was because of how nitpicky it was. All of the games are fun and each highlights what makes it's specific Assain special. Also it's very fitting for the lore and just real life in general that the prequel games would be completely different because things change over time. I don't often hear people talk about the progression of the guild, because that's what those drastic differences highlight. Having said that I like the growth I've been seeing in this Fandom and I'm, tentatively happy to dip my pinky toe in.
I have played all ac games before unity but as I started origins I didn't like the deserted map and the rpg thing but now I am playing odyssey and I am in love with that game
I just recently started playing origins and the only problem I have about it that it’s too much of an rpg. I haven’t played much ac games, but I’ve I set a standard for what the game should be. I knew I was going to be doing side missions, but holy hell I never knew it was going to be that much! I hate how there is a level system and that the enemies have a level which makes them stronger. I feel you’re being pulled away from doing the story or even doing the story quests because of the side missions which you do to level up. The game could definitely be better.
@user-iu2zt6vq6u then you should play ac odyssey. It's a little similar but the environment makes it a lot better. Plus the gameplay is good too. I didn't like the origins too but I love the odyssey for it's environment. So I suggest you to give odyssey a try
I didn't mind the tailing missions in AC Black Flag it's how most pirates at that time got their information
Valid points. Personally, I liked the fact that Brotherhood only has Rome.
It was good because they had more focus on detail and missions. So you would feel the city is small, but the missions were awesome and great story.
Why are we still slandering ac3 on that
Even after we've all actively decided Haytham to be the coolest character of all?
The missions were so well done too
If I hated anything in it, it's that we had to travel in snow to get to missions as Haytham, maybe that's why people perceived Haytham's prologue to be so long
Haytham is not cool in the slightest. I hate all his animations. Fighting as him sucked. And his missions were all around boring. Its so bad, its the reason i didn't play past it for like 6 months.
@@ragefacememeaholic5366 thats just you, sadly
@@SamayGhosh And your opinion that haytham is good is just you. Making your point "Even after we've all actively decided Haytham to be the coolest character of all?" incorrect, because I hate him.
@@ragefacememeaholic5366 oh please stop embarrassing urself🌚
@@SamayGhosh Being unable to spell "yourself" is pretty embarrassing.
I dont get the hate for Revelations' TD Mode. It makes tons of sense, as at that point Ezio is a Mentor, and he agreed to help train the Turkish Brotherhood, so ordering them into a formation to prevent an attack is literally in character.
Hated the games as soon as they added in enemy levels, I preferred it when you could tell which enemy was more challenging due to their armour
I know everybody hated Unity story but it’s actually my favorite because it’s simple and feels more human. It’s not a great revenge story or mythical sh*t with greek gods and immortality . It’s a young man whose mentor died and who wants to do what’s best for both his country and his lover .
For AC Revelations, i actually went ahead and master assassined all the hideouts before progressing, so i wouldn't have to worry with tower defense
The reason why RPG Creed existed in the first place was because the fan base were saying the Assassin Creed formula had gotten stale, which is true, and when Origins launched people praised it for being a breath of fresh air for the Franchise, and when Odyssey launched people praised it for expanding on the good things in Origins. It wasn't until around Valhalla that people got tired of the RPG Creed games and wanted to go back to the old formula, which is fair, but then the fanbase retro actively criticized the games for the very things they previously praised it for. Also, after replaying AC 1 and AC 2 gameplay was trash. They were ok for the time, but they did not age well. It made me appreciate the 17 years of lessons learned from then to now. So I am hoping for a remake with updated gameplay for AC1 and the Ezio Trilogy. Also, AC3 was boring.
Even though the tower defence was annoying at times but it was fun to play though
my biggest Gripe with Revelations was Yusuf being taken away too soon.i loved his personality but it felt like we hardly had any time to get to know him so his death felt a bit very cheap and unearned.
Man I loved the amount of content in Valhalla so I was so pissed when I saw how short Mirage was as I was really looking forward to Mirage and so much side content could have been added.
Syndicate isn't a downgrade from unity. That is a false narrative that trended to say. Syndicate suffers from false narrative trends a lot. Such as the twins. Jacob is actually the main protagonist of the game, and he is canon in all the side missions. But you need to pay attention and actually know the game in order to know this.
Hopefully the black flag remake does something about the tailing missions
Mirages story being short wasn’t an issue for me it was that fact that the story didn’t even feel like a main story. No crazy missions or set pieces and was extremely repetitive. It also didn’t have any sort of build and kind of just ended out of nowhere
Brotherhood is the only one that has a flaw that has nothing to do with the gameplay, story, characters, or missions. Its just the fact that you were stuck in one city. But thats not saying much when that city is Rome during the Renaissance.
Jus finished mirage and I miss playing it already… I jus love all ac games tho
It's honestly crazy that people complain about playing as Haytham, he is a really good character and I think he deserves his own game.
Love AC 3 smooth combat. The story was also nice and the world improvement is awesome if only it was more lively. Genuinely trip me the first time i heard many people doesnt like it/consider it bad or boring
Up to black flag, everything was almost bar for bar from The Hidden Ones video on this
I only played is Haitham Kenway for like an hour so I got to Connor pretty quickly
Honestly worst thing about odyssey is having levels in the game and also how sometimes you can't proceed to the next main story quest for hours
I actually loved the tower defense I had loads of fun with it
ac2 is such a good game that its ~worst~ part is no way to replay missions
What I find really weird is that after valhalla, people really wanted a shorter game that went back to its roots, and then they didn't like it when it was short. I think that they wanted the same gameplay but way longer, but that would have a problem similar to AC1 as it would get repetitive so I don't really know what people want.
I love the tower defence btw xD
i liked every assassin's creed even new ones idk why people hate on such great games
I love how they featured the hardest ac 2 mission lol
The main issue with Mirage is its basically Valhalla but repainted and smaller, the story is different on the outside but inside its the same code and animations but a few newer ones added
Always thought that an assassins creed set in the end of the viking period would be a perfect time to put a story.
you can replay the missions in ac2 but as soon as its over it takes you right back to your game, there's no continuous playing from a certain start point...
The story of Mirage wasn't short at all... The franchise had long-drawn stories for no reason.
i agree. with the massive game of odyssey, i found myself constantly getting lost in the endless side missions and before i knew it i had spent 80+ hours and the main storyline wasn’t done. and to top it all off… i forgot what was happening 😂
it litterally takes 20-21 hours to 100% the game. Even with all the rpg's aside that amount of content is sad, especially since the content itself isnt really good.
@@oIy__y It's 30 hours but nevermind...
In my opinion it wasn't short especially if we look at it as a dlc which it is.
There is one point I have to disagree with Sundicate at least to me, is Unity down right. Like the parkour, the story, the new equipment aka the zip line.
Everything was just better in Syndicate it's only downgrade would have to be the side missions were a bit repetitive.
Bro Mirage is such a differnt approach, killing is so easy compared to all the proper stealth there was in the old games
It went from War and Peace long of ac valhalla to comic book length in mirage
Agreed!mirage has a very excellent but short story
You know it’s a good game when people’s main complaint is
“The story is too short”.
Finally. Someone gives a 100% accurate description of the worst part of every AC game
Not really I didnt find AC1 that repetitive since I pay attention to the story and investigations
I just love that odyssey and origins have the same positive point
I personally loved all the games whether it was too long or too short I just love to play I can't say the same for AC Mirage I haven't played it yet 😅
Me personally I thought Mirage was great. I loved everything about it except the combat. The parkour and running was good, stealth was amazing, (best way to kill enemies instead of open combat in the game), story was nice, it was the perfect length, and the characters aren’t boring and bland. I’d rate the game an 8/10.
I remember people complaining because Valhalla was too long and the map too big, Ubisoft listened to these critics and created mirage
Now i understand why Mirage got Released a bit early 😮
Unity pro: dead kings DLC con: infamous glitches
once i heard Achilles about being evil was faked by templars and coded in way like Achilles is Super evil, Maybe kinda true?
What do you mean by you can't repeat any of the missions in AC2?
Okay, my turn!
I’ll do it for the whole franchise at once.
Best thing: I don’t have to play them.
And Nexus VR, good climbing long story and ok graphics
Unity was so good man, the story just hit my soul for some reason.
Im hoping they get their shit together for the japan one that was my child hood dream for an assasins creed to be in japan/Asia
Odyssey was probably the best in recent year's.
Ngl my favorite assasins creed i think i never enjoyed in any game like i did in ac odissey
...no
You know it’s good when the worst thing is not being able to reply missions.
The only thing I hate about rouge are the stalkers and the large map
Imagine the only problem people have with your game is that they can’t replay your missions
Unity is one of the best stories in the series, the worst thing is that a big chunk of the story is in side missions this also goes dor ac3 the best story missions are the homestead and the recruitment missions those really help develop Connors story and character
Origins did everything right and no one can change my mind
Mirage’s story is short cause it was meant to be a DLC for AC Valhalla but then they made into a game instead
Idk why everyone hates on tower defense it’s a good addition imo fit the lore and it’s something new and you aren’t required to do every tower defense but I actually did finish all of them I really liked it
you can't really tell that the story being short in mirage is a problem since they announced that pretty early
Syndicate improved on the stealth from Unity and made it a lot more reliable and more refined. And saying Rogue has terrible writing shows that you have never played Rogue before
I just got AC Mirage and finished the campaign in like a day
tHe tOwEr DeFenCe brother you do ONE time in the main story
I think I might try mirage, it seems to be what assasins creed was abaout
Unity is also the buggiest game in the series, last time I tried to play it it was literally unplayable. My character was getting stuck on everything he tried to parkour on or through. Not to mention the co-op died long before the next game came out
Add for valhala: one the best writting of all the licence
🤮
How in the hell is the writing of Rogue was downgrade?
Ac rogue in my opinion is one of the best game. Because it showed both side of Assassins and also gave us a new perspective. Also the naval battles were quite good if not as great as ac4.
You know a game is good when you only bad thing you can say about it is that you cannot replay missions
Ac2 is terrible
@@HenrySmithers-uj3qkbad take.
@@ragefacememeaholic5366 bad opinion
@@HenrySmithers-uj3qk Unity is the only bad assassin's creed I have played. If you hate ac2 you just don't like the series in general.
@ragefacememeaholic5366 Well, that's just wrong. Ac 2 is terrible while Rogue syndicate and origins are some of my favourite games.
i wish rogue actually had a bigger budget but that sadly wasnt the case. Would've made a great game tbh.
Ok love how the worst thing about AC2 is that the missions arent replayable
Origins was a good change and work quite well, the only one of the rpg games that was actually playable in my opinion
Turning AC into an RPG was a BIG mistake on Ubisosfts side
Odyssey’s TRUE worst part: NO post-assassination Memory Corridors!
So they went back to going the old school way, short stories with being sneaky, and y’all STILL complain about it?
Brotherhood’s story taking a dip is worse than just being in Roma
The most repetitive thing about AC1 at this point is the amount of videos i watch where the only comment made about AC1 is that it has repetitive missions
