I started listening to Brilliant Idiots in 2014 - 2015. I'm so happy to see how much Charla and Andrew grew together. I hope this podcast continues for years. I like that Charla and Andrew break down the entertainment business, and, of course, the brilliant idiot humor never gets old 😆

There are plenty of celebs who say crazy shit about certain groups or people and get no real pushback or if they do get pushback a simple apology solves everything. if you doubt whether there is a war in Ukraine, then you can come to my native Mariupol, completely destroyed by the Russian army, where 87 thousand civilians were killed and look into the eyes of those who survived and are forced to be in occupation now. sitting in a comfortable studio, it is easy to wag your tongue about what you absolutely do not understand (showing the level of your intelligence and limitations), but it is another thing to do at least something to understand the real state of affairs and the real scale of the tragedy. it is a great shame that such ignoramuses and idle talkers remain in the civilized world today.

Living near Skokie, IL, highest Holocaust survivors in the world, we were ingrained with the Jewish plight (off on Jewish holidays, etc). It is definitely real and scary thinking how the sentiment is starting to come back. Love Chris’s comments on here. Great episode.
Living near Richmond, VA not far from where one of the largest slave breeding farms was located also where my great great grandfather was a slave it's tragic how little people care about the negative results that never left this area. 💔 the oppressed people's should care for each other rather than try to ignore one side or the other the cotton gin created the backbone of textiles in this country and generated trillions in revenue that almost none of the slaves were able to enjoy. Jewish descendants were still getting reparations in the late 90s when Jim crow had just ended and we are only one or two generations removed from these atrocities people want to sweep it under the rug when we need to fight for getting the same reparations together but we are all divided and all conquered in the end it is very real and really very sad 😔
