This awesome mini amplifier from the team at Marshall has 1 watt of power, but busts out a sound far louder than you’d expect, and thanks to the overdrive switch packs a real punch.
You can enjoy both crisp and clear tones as well as hard, gritty overdrive at the turn of a knob making it a great practice amplifier for guitarists of all levels.
The 6.3mm headphone jack output allows for silent practice but also doubles as a preamp out so you can record direct to your DAW with that classic Marshall sound - a great amp for practising at home.

Imagine showing this to your non-guitarist friend thinking it’s a decoration or toy and then you plug it in lol
I brought one and was walking around playing back in black and other tunes when people started walking up to me and saying it was a wireless or Bluetooth device, they said guitar amps aren't that tiny and it's not a real marshall
It's great for practice. Simple and easy to use. Has okay tone and can play at 4 in the morning without annoying people. Rarely use the clean channel though.
I had one as a kid, I never saw it again after I moved out. Just for nostalgia I'm tempted to get another one despite having a 100w Marshall stack now lol
I came here to learn about the amp, now I want that guitar.
Steve Vai guitar
I have it. The clean channel is too quiet, barely enuff to cover the strings’ noise. The gain channel is nice tho, good to play in my LITTLE room. For 20bucks is a must have, at least as an ornament in your music corner of the house
Same man, but i'm refunding mine the overdrive channel is meh and for some reason creating a ton of buzz
Barry Smegma are you sure that’s not a loose ground connection in the guitar? you’re running the guitar straight into the amp, right? no pedals? if so then it was probably just a defective unit. i have one and i know a few others and i’ve never heard of a buzz problem.
@@h_3853 Mine has a massive buzz issue as well. Maybe a bad batch.
Actually it is really awesome for beginners. You don't need anything loud or expensive to learn, you just need a good tone which makes this one perfect for that
Is it loud enough for people to hear on a busy street?
Just bought one at Walmart for $18. Total impulse buy, thought it would look cool on my studio desk. Actually sounds pretty good
It's good with a cheap guitar too, as mine a Fender bullet squier stratocaster.
Is it good enough to practice at home? Not for anything serious just for practicing, thank you in advance!
@@dinonaranai for practice, its good.
Is it any good for busking
This was really helpful!
Amazing video!
gift nº1 for me this Christmas! (thanks Dagan for the idea :) )
I’ll always remember when Dimebag had one of the full stack versions on at the end of the Cowboys From Hell home video and he was walking down the street singing “give me your money!”
Dude! i know you're doing demo on the mini amp but i keep getting distracted by the Ibanez Gem you're using. I want that guitar!!
Can you plug this to a speaker for louder sound?
does anyone know when the amp was released?
very curious.
the construction resembles 80s or 90s stuff
Im trying to get my frist guitar ( a cheap one at first) should I buy this Amp for my guitar ?
Nice wee toy, wonder what a decent quality speaker inside would sound like? I also have the Boss micro, much larger, but cant be beat for its size. Vids online on modding another speaker, but cant hear much difference to be honest.
Hola, alguien podría decirme cuántas horas dura la bateria? Gracias!
someone pls answer, im getting this and i need to know if it comes with the cable to connect to the guitar (im new to this)
You should try the ms4. It's the same, BUT MOOOREEE!
hi! can i use this amp for my electro acoustic guitar?
i like it cause i keep it on my end table and whenever i wanna jam and mess around for a few minutes quickly without plugging in a bunch of pedals and my amp and what not i can just plug into there n just practice chords n scales for a bit
One of my dreams
Found out about these cuz I saw someone using it as a prop for an action figure diorama lol
How loud is the clean channel compared to an acoustic guitar
Can this thing be louder than mine acoustic guitar ?
i used it on an acoustic guitar, gets really muddy tbh. tho the overdrive is fun, loads of feedback and black metal madness
@@Trojanarchist black metal on acoustic sounds fun.
can it being played when i plug my bass guitar ????
How about for bass guitar?
is it louder than an acoustic guitar?
Thank you so much
Is it still the best choice for playing semi-acoustic guitar in 2023?
Does it work with bass
You are awesome @ Van Halen, AC/DC and zepelin
Is it possible to use this mini amp for other instruments than the electric guitar? For example electric violin. I read somewhere that it's only for electric guitars
You can plug whatever you want as long as you use a p10 cable. Will it sound good? Well...😅
I bought this amp but it was broken. No overdrive sound only clean sound
Honestly they make good decoration even if you never play it.
I have one for like 10 yeras. Never plugged but I love it with my whole heart
i just wanna buy one because Jack Black had one in School Of Rock
for some reason the overdrive chanel on my ms-2 isn't working
Try to bite this wheel which (on) overdrive
Well that’s me sold I’m buying one now 🤣
Any other Steve vai fans get shocked when he started playing the jem777
Hell yeah
2:52 what song is that riff from?
Van Halen - Panama
@@haroldpelayo933 lol I knew it sounded familiar, thanks man
Song in the opening?
Back In Black- ACDC.
Is this with or without a distortion pedal?
im gonna respond to a comment from 2 years ago cuz why not. Its without, it has built in overdrive
@@theDragoon007yaboiCJ this is why I love the guitar community.
So does it work with bass coz I bought one with my bass since stupid bass amps are more expensive
Ask davie
Can we clone it
Compare that tone to the laney lion.... i know there is a price diffrence, but the sound difference is massive
Which one is better?
Can you use this for a bass guitar
I dunno dude
Don't think so
The most important question- how loud is it..? Enough for a medium-sized room..? Also could it be miked or line-out for a small gig..?
no man, its only for practicing
definetly. i have it. but your Limited to one loud sound , no pedal works with thisproper
Bruh...You really thinking bout using a 20bucks mini amp for a gig? This thing is good just for having (quiet) fun in a 20 square feet room
@@micheleschenetti7791 he only asked a question ld
I have one. When the battery is dying, so is your tone.
Are you saying that when it sounds like a shit is because the batery is dying?
Can someone please tell me the lick he plays at 3:12
Steve vai erotic nightmares
@@ooo-hg1ls bro thank you so fucking much 💪🏽🙏🏾🔥
is it good for a beginner?
If you have no amp buy a good one, boss katanas are really nice. The 50mk2 seems like a good option. Don't go too cheap because you won't like your gear and give up. When you are new to guitar it's really hard to work with most of the sounds you can have
As a busker amp?
yes but it may be a bit quiet
2:08 song??? pleasee
@Aiden J Wales Jajajajaja no, theres no way thats Folsoms Blues
Sounds like Johnny B Goode
Hi
Should i buy this to play at school with?
I'm think to do this to
Only, and I repeat ONLY, if you play rock, or something that works with distortion. It's too quiet for the average form room on clean channels, but if you play louder the distortion kicks in, but its defo enough
truely the most kvlt of amps.
Is it gig-able?
its not at all gig-able. unless your talking about backstage practice. you'd probably what to look at something minimal of 40 watts and 10 inch speaker but 12 inch would be better
Easy gigable yeah, no worries
Most definitely giggable, although may be a touch too loud
mine sounds like shit :(
Nice demo. Sounds gash though
Why are you always out of tune? Maybe you should demo a tuner?
That's it, I'm buying it
dio brando lmaooo
How is it?
@dio brando oh lol haha
Can you play in the street with that ?
It sounds so, so incredibly bad on OD.
It physically hurt your ears.
Just like in the video.
BUT: it has some incredibly nice clean/halfway clean blues tones.
Thats where it shines.
Forget about the OD stuff.
Its clearly not buildt for that, maaaaybe if you'd put into a wooden cab.
I haven't tried it yet that way but it is *very* high up my list.
I dust bought one
lmfao this is comical to look at. walk into a studio and mic up my belt lmfao
Esta desafinada
He said he had on his pants...but he's British...soooooo...🤔
How can anybody say or think these things sounds great?? Ffs 🤷♂️😂
Piece of crap. Rattles like crazy. Totally useless...
Sounds like crap
Junk!
this do be a kinda gay amp not gonna lie
