Sometimes I question the phrase "we place You in the Highest Place" in reference to GOD ALMIGHTY. If He is SUPERIOR to anyone and everyone, who are we, insignificant beings to "place" SOMEONE who is INFINITELY GREATER than us? No one can handle the TRUTH much less handle The IMMEASURABLE GOD. GOD is NOT an idol to be "placed" on a high spot BUT is HIGH AND LIFTED UP as the prophet Isaiah SAW Him. Who then, are the ones who "lifted HIM up? to where He is enthroned SINCE the Beginning of Time to the End of time, as though He was once on a lower place?
NO ONE!
RATHER it is HE Who LIFTS us up and NOT we who lift Him up AS THOUGH He is an idol to be carried.
As though He needs our help to be exalted
Maybe the APPROPRIATE WORDING should be, "we lift our hands to You who dwell in The HIGHEST PLACE" (Psalms 141:2 & 1 Timothy 2:8) than "we lift You up" as though GOD owes us His Glory and Exaltation
For it is HE WHO LIFTS US up and not the other way around.
As it is written
The LORD (יהוה) upholds all who fall and LIFTS UP all who are bowed down. (Psalms 145:14)
