Excellent video and explanation, I have simulated a grid-forming inverter like the one you present, but instead of rms values as a reference I used the sinusoid with the peak value of the voltage and fed back the output of the inverter as it is measured by the voltmeter. Tuning the PI controller becomes a slightly more complex task. I tuned it by frequency analysis, bode plots, etc. Greetings from México.👏✌️
This is a form of Scalar control unlike the PR and Vector (dq) control that is a form of dynamic control. Scalar control works by manipulating the supply voltage or current magnitude as apposed to dynamic control that miniplates the voltage and current transients. You could also control the active and reactive current using scalar control by adding a second loop for the phase angle.
