Striking Silver on The River Tweed | Summer Tactics

Catching my first salmon this season on the upper levels of the River Tweed in Scotland. This beat is called Horsburgh and you may recognise it from a couple of my other vlogs.
In this salmon fishing vlog I share insights into the techniques I use, fly choice, and strategies. I specifically focus on summer tactics and what I used to catch this salmon so if you are interested in how to fly fish for salmon on this beat then you'll enjoy this video! I was so happy to get my first catch of the season - hopefully not the last.
After years of trout fishing, I turned my hand to salmon fishing last year. I'm based in the Scottish Borders with the River Tweed on my doorstep.

So pleased for you! Well done. well deserved and congratulations. Another good video and thanks for sharing, have done the same, fish takes and I accidently turn camera off!!. Chewed yup flies can be great! Suggestion - start with shorter line. I have fished the beat oppositie (Cardronna) later in the season.

Well done sir you should watch Ian s.b videos he fishes that stretch a lot and you will see a lot of the lys he get fish from but he fishes opposite bank cardona side

Well done. Nice fish, but treat yourself to a set of forceps. It makes removing the hook a lot easier.
