Riff speaking FACTS about parenting!💯 I "spew" the same feelings and people hate me for it, but that doesn't change the fact that parenting has gotten so much softer and worse than it was 15+ years ago.
Censorship and parenting is an interesting topic. I was playing Gta vice city a LOT when I was 10-12. I really enjoyed the whole sandbox thing, yes I went around trying to get max police stars etc. I played mortal kombat before that, tekken, killer instinct and other so called violent video games. I think it depends on the general parenting you get at home. Growing up with video games from an early age it let me easily separate video games from real life. Playing violent video games or shooting games was a good way to blow out some steam(in terms of if I was bullied at school, or if I got a bad grade etc). I grew up to be a completely calm, mentally healthy adult and I was never violent when I was a kid. Same goes for my brother. So I never really understood when I saw in the news that parents were attacking Gta in court saying games make kids violent. I think there's a deeper issue in the way they are being brought up, but that's just my humble opinion. (emotional intelligence is equally important as intellectual intelligence)
First: stepping on Legos is CLEARLY worse than subbing your toe. Second: Riff you are 100% right about parents being the sensor for their kids. Games have ratings for a reason, parents should adhere to those ratings. The only exception I can remember being worth censoring, and it was optional, was the airport massacre scene in I think COD MW2. If it's not essential to the story and you think it might be triggering for some folks there's no problem with letting people skip it.
Love you guys, love the content on both channels! If I had one piece of constructive criticism, sometimes the questions are worded strangely 😅 keep up the amazing work fellas!
Parental controls should be able to sensor nudity, blood, and extreme violence. Not stop kids from playing games, but stop to see those things. When a game is sold, a big message from the store should be displayed advising the parents that the game includes some kind content. The issue is that games like GTA would not sell like they have done, companies include the features in the consoles but they don't talk about it.

I'm torn on the censorship part. As an avid horror movie fan I hate seeing stuff censored but if you dive in the horror movie icebergs that are online and realize that the movies on the bottom of the iceberg are pretty much just either simulated snuff filma/animal cruelty/possibly illegal to watch, you start to realize there's gotta be a line to draw somewhere. Idk if games have reached that moment yet of depravity honestly.

MK franchise is overall better than SF franchise. As a tournament or fighter alone, SF is a better game. PC games> Console games but i do love my consoles also.
Mortal Kombat is waaaaaay better than Street Fighter, if it wasn't they wouldn't feel the need to re-release the only good Street Fighter on literally every single console since Super Nintendo and Genesis......that being Street Fighter 2.
