I had thought, "Wow, maybe this guy isn't a moron after all. He can tell this is a reference to the first episode." But then he ruined it by legitimately believing he may be re-watching an older episode.

The scientist was Jeff Goldblum. This skit was a parody of Independence Day the movie, where his character is a TV Repairman, who happens to have a degree from MIT university, and thus he is the only person on the whole planet that was able to determine that the interference in the Network Satellite transmission was a countdown clock.
i heard in a commentary about this episode that matt and trey really hated the writing to independence day and hated how they could have made a computer virus on like windows 98 and send it to and alien hi tech space craft lol
Episodes like these remind me why Kenny had the idgaf attitude. The guy was immortal but actually felt the full extent of everything while dying. Kenny's probably thinking: this might numb the pain of whatever's to come.
This is the episode that made me realize the unmatched geniuses Matt and trey are 😂

The opening reaction to the repeat was pure gold. Believe it or not there are people who think like that scientist does. It is all just a matter of how your brain is wired and how your particular brain prefers to operate. There are people who will start with a random piece of trivia and then arrive at the needed conclusion using word association... eventually. It is similar to the game "Seven Degrees of Seperation" where you pick two celebrities and try to connect them using 7 or less other celebrities that they have worked with. The two people in the white suits were from the old tv show Fantasy Island. You saw the ghost of the tall guy (Ricardo Montalbon) in the episode with Ike seeing dead celebrities. The guy in the tuxedo was Frank Sinatra in his elderly years. The episode came out in 2003 and the name is "Joozians". The concept that Jews control everything is an antisemitic trope from ages ago. I don't think they caught any flack for it but Matt Stone is Jewish anyways. The 100th episode of South Park is "I'm a Little Bit Country" Season 7 Episode 4.

This isn't the 100th episode but I do recommend watching that one. It's still very relevant to today, it's called "I'm a Little Bit Country"

If you knew the Cartman Gets an Anal Probe script you knew that their where subtle differences in the intro, Ike is more understandable and using for words and the insults between Cartman and Kyle are slightly different.
More proof of Eric being interested in Kyle is very evident in S16 Ep 7: Cartman Finds Love. It introduces Tolkien’s girlfriend, Nicole as well!

South Park doesn’t really get any flak for their jabs towards Jewish people because one of the creators (Matt Stone) is Jewish himself and is clearly in on the joke.
Cartman is not gay for Kyle he just wants to humiliate him as much as possible.

Cancelled, this was supposed to be the 100th episode for syndication but I’m a little bit country actually took its place in due to topic of the war. This was made in 2003 and fun fact the end part about the all out brawl in Iraq was made a week before the actual war started. Which also probably in part explains why it weren’t the 100th.
