Mine keeps fighting me on every level attempt...the offset somehow gets lower each time I try to fix it and the test prints are way too low. I've been fighting it for days and I'm very close to throwing it against a wall and running it over.
@@davidpaul9261 I upgraded to the solvo sv06 plus loving it and has the same bed size as the sunlu. But I rember just leveling it the old way with paper then using the probe right before the print by coding it into the gecode
@@davidpaul9261 i got mine to work by downgrading from version 13 of the firmware to version 12, i also tried version 14 but the axis's are reversed and the probe doesnt deploy

@@JoeMartinMVC nothing and no, just Homing XYZ. tho update now, i realize the two pin was in the wrong slots. now when i try to auto home the extruder just drives it self into the bed. any help? edit - also drives itself into board when tramming

It's likely someone else in the community there will have the answer as that's always fixed it in the ones that I've seen, but the CRTouch may be slightly different as I haven't worked with that yet on the S8.
did you change your nozzle from the original one? the probe touches the bed before the nozzle on mine so it would drag the probe when printing. just wanting to make sure I didn't do something wrong.also when i tram the bed the probe doesn't engage so i just did it manually.
I don't believe I had yet by the making of this video. I eventually changed the whole hot end due to killing the PTFE tube in the stock one. If the probe is sitting lower than the nozzle then you need less of a spacer for the bed leveler. Are you still running the stock fan shroud, or have you printed one that has a spot for the bed leveler to go on to?
@@briancooper4893 With the KiNG Fan Shroud it should have two different spacers that could be printed for the Bed Leveler, If the Strock OEM Hotend BLT Spacer is too thick (which is what it sounds like is the issue) try using the thinner one. He has it listed as the MK8 Microswiss BLT Spacer, but that doesn't matter. The thinner spacer will cause the probe to be a few millimeters higher and should rectify the issue.
I got the level down but prints keep curling on any sort of overhang. People keep telling me to try out a cr10 profile but I still get the same results as my custom profile. Before I go to a larger fan, would you have any suggestions to try or a profile I can test?
Usually curling is a cooling issue. I'd do a temp tower and see what the lowest temp you can print at is to see if it resolves the issue prior to upgrading the fan.
Finding your videos really useful! Is this process only for when a 3DTouch is fitted? I don't have one at present and haven't trimmed my bed. Does this need doing if I don't have the 3DTOUCH? Also when you home it goes to the centre, is that something you have set it to do? Mine homes to just off the bottom left corner of the bed
Thank you! Pretty much, yeah. If you go with the KiNG firmware for not having a BLTouch (linked in my firmware update video) it'll have you create a 24 point mesh where you adjust the nozzle and it does essentially the same process as the BLTouch does when it probes the bed.
Haha. I only have to do it about once every three or four months now, so it doesn’t bother me when I have to do it. Helped a friend level his stock ender 3 that he attempted to level himself without any knowledge and it took me almost half an hour to finally get everything leveled and trammed correctly.

My BLtouch doesnt deploy when tramming. Using Mike Kings latest firmware. Any idea?

ok so i did this and my print head hit the plater and belt slips from the force . How do i stop this ?
When I bed tram, it doesn't get me the option to use the probe. It only asks "Next Corner" How do I use the probe to tram the bed?

the extruder stepper went on my s8 plus. the direct drive kit/video looked really apealing. maybe i do that to the older s8 and reflash the firmware.

i have the CR touch and it jus freezes on homing XYZ when trying bed teaming, any help?
Are there any errors that come up on the screen when it happens?
If not, is it hitting the limit switch or on any of the axis?

when i try to probe the z offset the paper wont slide because the bl touch hits first. do i need to install the thinner spacer on the touch?
Yeah, if the BLTouch is sitting lower than the nozzle you'd need a thinner spacer to keep it above the nozzle.

Watching you set the level with paper is painful as it brings back everytime I've done it, until I started using a feeler gauge to set it exactly.

It is, but the redundancy helps get things as level as possible the first time around.

I have the one flashed FOR 3D/BLTouch since I have the BLTouch installed on my printer, so that’s the one I made the video with.
