I saw this post a few weeks back and made it last week. I did a 4-layer ube cake mixture and cream cheese - not too thick - as I don't have big pan. Added 3/4 cup of sugar and used store bought ube halaya (unsweetened). It turned really good, not too sweet. Refrigerated it overnight and tastes better than freshly baked.
I tried this recipe and it was super worth it. Super delicious! I reduced the sugar since the ube halaya was already sweet and it came out perfectly. Thank you for sharing this! ♥️♥️♥️

Hm bars, that’s a good way of presenting it. I made mine in little cups so that they are served in little portions. I’ll try bars next time. Although maybe less food colors. 🤣
Delightful Souvenirs ~~yes, i find it too dark using 1 tbsp food extracg. i did 1/4 tsp food extract and 10 drops food color. it turned out really nice

I did a first batch of this and it's really delicious.. altho the husband was concerned that there are still some undissolved sugar from the Ube batter itself.. I followed everything in your video, I am doing a second batch now and the sugar and melted butter mixture DOES NOT LOOK the same as in your vid, same on the 1st batch that I did.. Am I doing something wrong?
If I could send you a pic, mine doesn't really resembles the consistency of your batter before and after I've added the ube essence and jam.. It's way too thick compared to yours and the gritty sugar crystals can be clearly seen..
oh, it's all good then.. I did this another two more times and the result is always the same.. very gooey in the middle.. actually, I've tried another recipe from another vid I found here on TH-cam, and it turned out great on the first go.. so, Thanks anyway, that reply was such a big help..
I tried this yesterday and making my 2nd batch today. We love it! Thanks for the recipe! Although I reduce the sugar to 1 cup since the ube jam is too sweet. For my 2nd batch, I try to reduce the heat and bake longer since the center wasn't baked enough on my first try. Any suggestions on making a good swirl? I couldn't make it nice.

Maria Crissette Dionisio i experienced the same thing. It was disaster. I followed the ingredients and all but mine wasn’t cook at all. I even baked it longer like 45-50mins but its still not cooked. I dont know why
