A visa is not a product you buy, it´s an application made to a foreign country that can be granted or denied. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete application.

Do you realize how many months it can take for an applicant to reapply again if a visa is refused? It's quite easy to sit and say sentences when you're a privileged person but when you actually realize the difficulties we have to face just because of a passport, then you'll realize. People get rejections without a valid reason. I know a person who provided 3 accounts worth of bank statements, but their visa got refused because apparently they did not bother checking these documents that were attached. This is not some movie, this is the reality that weak passport holders have to face.

Yes. I got Austrian visa in 2019. It take’s longer to get this visa. They give specific date visa based on itinerary. It’s tougher than switzerland or France

I got a good agency in Bangalore,(Europath Overseas)they just took only 50k for guiding thru whole journey of selecting University to visa process. I think if they find anything even bit suspicious or overwhelming they straight forward reject the case. Some person i know applied for 90 days of stay in France for tourism for first time. It was denied. On other hand people with 14 days itinerary got 45 days of stay.

You have the option to file itr of previous year 2022 now 2 years itr is mandatory. You may mention that but then it will be treated as missing document
Hey. When we applied for UK and Swiss visa, my husband had only year ITR(FY 2021-2022). So we submitted a separate declaration letter for ITR along with the visa applications. We got both the visas in April and May. Also we got our first UK visa in last year (September 2022) with the same 1 ITR.
**VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION** Bro Cyprus is not a part of the Schengen Area. Its a EU member state but not a Schengen State, EU and Schengen area are related but different. The Schengen Area encompasses most EU countries, except for Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland and Romania. That's why it got rejected. looks like The invitation letter is fine but as Cyprus is not a Schengen Member so Finnish embassy rejected your application. Personally, I don't think they have done anything wrong, as it's like you are applying for a UK visa to visit France(Schengen State). Also, I think the agents you contacted have no knowledge about this and they misguided you. Sorry to hear that you were misguided my friend. Also, you can apply for multiple trips at the same time, it's not an issue, many of my friends have done that and some have got long validity Visas, just make sure they are Schengen states. So I did some more research and I find out that you can travel to Cyprus and Bulgaria Visa free on a Schengen Visa but as Cyprus and Bulgaria are NOT Schengen Area Members, you cannot ask a Schengen State to issue a Visa to travel to these two countries. A Schengen Visa can only be issued to travel to Schengen States but once you have the Visa, you can visit Cyprus and Bulgaria using it as these two allow it in their own visa policy. Its like you can travel to Mexico visa free with a valid US Tourist visa but you cannot ask US embassy to issue a visa for Mexico

It happens and really hurts. My 4th Schengen was also rejected by NL embassy, I still couldn’t understand why till this day. I had even appealed but they didn’t considered my case. I think its better to apply with same documents to the embassy which issued visa last time , if youre lucky you might get a longer duration visa!
@@AS.MA_ No that is not what Im saying, but visa officials are human beings they are not always 100% correct in their evaluation. There are many instances where a person whose visa was reject by embasy 1when he applied in embasy 2 with same set of docs it was approved. Providing all documents as per checklist doesnt necessarily guarantee a visa.

If you going for business, apply from that country where you're invited from. For business trips you have to be specific about who is inviting you and the purpose. Can't choose a different country

Since it's a conference, i need to apply in which category? Short business trip? And do i need to make the accomodation and flight bookings before applying for visa? I am also going to attend a conference in August from Bangladesh. As per previous Schengen experience, yeah you have to book the travel and accommodation. As far as I know, some companies provide dummy tickets for flights for a fee. You may opt for that if you want.

There won't be any problem if you apply from Austrian embassy as you're staying maximum days in Austria. You don't need invitation letter. You need travel itinerary and booking details And yes airbnb is valid proof

No, that's not at all a real reason for your refusal. If that's the reason they could have given you a shorter visa only for 90 days for your first trip. The real reason is that Schengen countries reject & approves any visa. There are thousands & thousands of cases where genuine candidates are rejected and candidates who applied asylum got their visa approved which clearly shows inefficiency of those embassies and failure of Indian government. After USA visa you can easily get any visa except Schengen visa.

You can reapply from any country. Same or other. Process is same. Book appointment and submit documents. I would suggest to not apply from Finland again and look for other countries like France or Spain

In any layover case you have to apply visa from the embassy in which you are going to stay the longest or the place exactly where you are going, layover country doesn’t matter no need to take the visa.
Apply from Czech but plan sufficient layover time in Paris as your immigration will happen there and it takes long in Paris. Turkey visa won't be required if connecting flight is on same pnr

Thanks for sharing the detailed video. Few queries: - Schengen Visa is anyway for minimum 6 months generally. So why did you put your next trip in the covering letter as an additional request? - You mention the loss is of only Rs 20,000. But you must have booked the flights (or possibly hotels as well) which generally are partially or non-refundable. So were they not valid ie were they only planned itinerary? Asking because not having valid flights may also lead to rejections.
Schengen visa is never for minimum 6 months. It's mostly for a month or even less. We haven't paid for flight and hotel bookings. We booked dummy flight tickets. You can watch my separate video on dummy flight tickets

NOC letter is mandatory if you are working. If it’s not available you may attach salary slip. Your appointment letter. And mention that in your company such noc letter is not given to anybody

We were planning to visit 5 countries in July.. and all bookings were done by our travel agency.. we just had to submit our financial documents...and it was a group booking... Now we are facing a issue our travel agency are not refunding the air ticket expenses...now along will the loss of 20k I have lost 1.5 lacs as per the travel agency policy , as it was mentioned in their policy that they will not refund only 75% amount of vosa gets rejected... Can u guide us if we can complaint against the agency in this case... Because the reason mentioned was The information submitted regarding justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable. Please guide what can I do in such case
That's the problem within paying before getting visa. I understand your situation and that's the exact reason I've stopped making any kinda payment before my visa arrives. You can ask the agency to adjust you both in future trips or asked for the payment details that they have made. Legally you can't do much in India in such situations
There is no need of advance booking .. Just do dummy bookings for flights and hotels. I have done solo trip to Europe and UK and my bank balance was around 3.50 lakh .. I just paid visa fees and Vfs fees in delhi .. Which costs less than 15k overall .. So need not give advance money to any agency .. Keep it simple and clear .. Best of luck for your next time

So cover letter is 1 document and itinerary is another. Vfs will arrange them while submission as per their checklist. Cover letter need to be on company letter head

it doesn’t matter if you combine two trips as long as you produce all required documents. Like you missed the flight bookings of other journey.

You have the option to file itr of previous year 2022 now
2 years itr is mandatory. You may mention that but then it will be treated as missing document
And Finland and other Nordic countries are extra strict regarding documents and itinerary so be careful
Hey. When we applied for UK and Swiss visa, my husband had only year ITR(FY 2021-2022). So we submitted a separate declaration letter for ITR along with the visa applications. We got both the visas in April and May. Also we got our first UK visa in last year (September 2022) with the same 1 ITR.
Tax details is available in our payslip. Do we still require to submit ITR ?

**VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Bro Cyprus is not a part of the Schengen Area. Its a EU member state but not a Schengen State, EU and Schengen area are related but different. The Schengen Area encompasses most EU countries, except for Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland and Romania. That's why it got rejected. looks like The invitation letter is fine but as Cyprus is not a Schengen Member so Finnish embassy rejected your application. Personally, I don't think they have done anything wrong, as it's like you are applying for a UK visa to visit France(Schengen State). Also, I think the agents you contacted have no knowledge about this and they misguided you.
Sorry to hear that you were misguided my friend. Also, you can apply for multiple trips at the same time, it's not an issue, many of my friends have done that and some have got long validity Visas, just make sure they are Schengen states.

So I did some more research and I find out that you can travel to Cyprus and Bulgaria Visa free on a Schengen Visa but as Cyprus and Bulgaria are NOT Schengen Area Members, you cannot ask a Schengen State to issue a Visa to travel to these two countries. A Schengen Visa can only be issued to travel to Schengen States but once you have the Visa, you can visit Cyprus and Bulgaria using it as these two allow it in their own visa policy.
Its like you can travel to Mexico visa free with a valid US Tourist visa but you cannot ask US embassy to issue a visa for Mexico
My French Schengen visa got refused and applied for a refusal appeal, its been more than 2 weeks never heard from them, was I supposed to submit my passport along with the refusal appeal application? Also, I am Indian passport holder living in South Korea, so I applied from the Seoul consulate and no links given on the website can track my appplication. Is there any way I can track my application? I tried CAPAGO, VFS, literally everything. Every tracking link says invalid reference number !!!
You can only contact embassy for this. Can't track online. Appeal process may take upto a month.

My 4th Schengen was also rejected by NL embassy, I still couldn’t understand why till this day.
I had even appealed but they didn’t considered my case.
I think its better to apply with same documents to the embassy which issued visa last time , if youre lucky you might get a longer duration visa!

@@AS.MA_ No that is not what Im saying, but visa officials are human beings they are not always 100% correct in their evaluation. There are many instances where a person whose visa was reject by embasy 1when he applied in embasy 2 with same set of docs it was approved. Providing all documents as per checklist doesnt necessarily guarantee a visa.

Do you know any countries that allow visit visa comparatively easier than others?
If you going for business, apply from that country where you're invited from. For business trips you have to be specific about who is inviting you and the purpose. Can't choose a different country

Hello Sir. I am a student and i have to attend a conference in Sweden. This is my first international trip, so i am not aware of a lot of things. Since it's a conference, i need to apply in which category? Short business trip? And do i need to make the accomodation and flight bookings before applying for visa? How much time does it take for them to process the applications? I have the invitation letter from the conference organizers.
I am also going to attend a conference in August from Bangladesh. As per previous Schengen experience, yeah you have to book the travel and accommodation. As far as I know, some companies provide dummy tickets for flights for a fee. You may opt for that if you want.

There won't be any problem if you apply from Austrian embassy as you're staying maximum days in Austria.

No, that's not at all a real reason for your refusal. If that's the reason they could have given you a shorter visa only for 90 days for your first trip. The real reason is that Schengen countries reject & approves any visa. There are thousands & thousands of cases where genuine candidates are rejected and candidates who applied asylum got their visa approved which clearly shows inefficiency of those embassies and failure of Indian government. After USA visa you can easily get any visa except Schengen visa.

I live in Italy as a student & i want my fiance to visit me. Last year his first application got rejected, reason mentioned was doubt of leaving Schengen state before visa expiry. I felt it was absolutely an invalid point since we showed his round trip tickets from Delhi-Milan & entire itinerary, hotel bookings everything. You can reapply from any country. Same or other. Process is same. Book appointment and submit documents.
I would suggest to not apply from Finland again and look for other countries like France or Spain

In any layover case you have to apply visa from the embassy in which you are going to stay the longest or the place exactly where you are going, layover country doesn’t matter no need to take the visa.
Apply from Czech but plan sufficient layover time in Paris as your immigration will happen there and it takes long in Paris.
Turkey visa won't be required if connecting flight is on same pnr

Thanks for sharing the detailed video. Few queries:
- Schengen Visa is anyway for minimum 6 months generally. So why did you put your next trip in the covering letter as an additional request?
- You mention the loss is of only Rs 20,000. But you must have booked the flights (or possibly hotels as well) which generally are partially or non-refundable. So were they not valid ie were they only planned itinerary? Asking because not having valid flights may also lead to rejections.
Schengen visa is never for minimum 6 months.
It's mostly for a month or even less.
We haven't paid for flight and hotel bookings. We booked dummy flight tickets.

U have quite limited knowledge by saying that schengen visa is anyway for minimum 6 months generally.

Hi... We have faced rejection recently like u in June... We were planning to visit 5 countries in July.. and all bookings were done by our travel agency.. we just had to submit our financial documents...and it was a group booking... Now we are facing a issue our travel agency are not refunding the air ticket expenses...now along will the loss of 20k I have lost 1.5 lacs as per the travel agency policy , as it was mentioned in their policy that they will not refund only 75% amount of vosa gets rejected... Can u guide us if we can complaint against the agency in this case... Because the reason mentioned was The information submitted regarding justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable.

That's the problem within paying before getting visa.
I understand your situation and that's the exact reason I've stopped making any kinda payment before my visa arrives.
You can ask the agency to adjust you both in future trips or asked for the payment details that they have made.
Legally you can't do much in India in such situations
There is no need of advance booking .. Just do dummy bookings for flights and hotels. I have done solo trip to Europe and UK and my bank balance was around 3.50 lakh .. I just paid visa fees and Vfs fees in delhi .. Which costs less than 15k overall .. So need not give advance money to any agency .. Keep it simple and clear .. Best of luck for your next time

On 7th, Embassy called me on my mobile and asked me to submit sponser letter by email ( though hard copy was given),
And surprising was that, on 10 th they rejected my visa and still discussing it on sponser letter on 12th ...

Why did you apply visa of a country like Finland ? You can literally apply for a visa from any schengen country why did you chose Finland? I would not give 2 dollars about Finland....
