I had a model 12 Winchester 20 ga. full choke as a kid. Even with 2 3/4 shells I routinely out distanced my hunting compadres using 12 ga. with 3 inch shells on ducks. My next shotgun was a Mossberg 500AT. 20" cylinder bore. Seven 3in. magnum shells in #4 buck. I slept well in SoCal during the Rodney King riots. I'm old now. I've scaled back to a 1977 model 870 Remington Wingmaster Magnum 18 1/2 inch barrel parkerized police turn in with almost no previous use. Being trained in tactical loading means that with a five shot capacity, it's never empty. Great door prize for bad guys.
I believe Model 12 was a heavy well made gun and Mossberg's are great gun's too. And My friends Remington 870 Wingmaster feels as smooth as ball bearing's.
My jts has shot flawless. It is a beast. But I bought it for buck shot, it shoots it with out a hiccup. Oil it and clean it you will not be disappointed for the price. I paid 180.00 for it so for a truck gun, it's great.
You are completely wrong in your statement about open bolt firearms. Millions of sub-machineguns, medium to heavy machine guns were designed and manufactured with an open bolt design and are used world wide today.
Yeah but in shotguns a open bolt could very well let some small item in the barrel or the action that could cause a failure or blockage to the barrel A shotgun is a whole different animal than a rifle
I had the Winchester 1400 and it worked fine if you kept it clean and did not use reloads. Other than that, it shot light dove, and quail loads just fine. I sold it years ago and have gone to other better shotguns for just a little bit more money. I actually prefer a good over/under, but we all have our favorite flavors. Thanks for the video and info.
My 1400 has been shot a lot and im the newest owner. Take it squirrel hunting all the time. Has a really sweet gas bleed-off in the magazine tube cap. Doesn’t use more than it needs to cycle.
It's interesting that 'made in the USA' doesn't mean it'll be without issues. Reminds me of the Marlin 1894 in .44 mag I purchased new in the 80's and how after 100 rounds, it developed the infamous 'Marlin Jam'. Marlin would not fix it at the time and though I know there are fixes described in YT videos, I just use it as a single shot rifle. You can drop a round in the side, it'll rack it, and eject it fine. you just can't have any rounds in the tube.
Well, what about that. We have had a Winchester 1400 for about a decade now. Never once has failed in any way. Mind you it only has about 2000 shells through it by now. * shrugs *
I think it's funny you get what you pay for, but most shotguns are cheap in general. you can get a great shotgun for $200 I've had several H&R pardoner is a great shotgun $150-$200

My late Dad had a 1911. He gave it to one of my cousins and while it hurt my feelings then, I am glad I didn’t get it.
The JTS is a good shotgun. It cycles light target loads just fine on setting 3 and the heaviest loads out there just fine on setting 1.

Good info to know, mossberg maverick 88 works for me.
Same got three of them for different purposes
So the problem with the Fabarm is that it weights exactly as you felt it when you lifted it the first time, because it's rock solid?
Winchester 1400 was 149.95 in the early 70s. I had the 1200 it was 129. 95. In pump action

My Winchester 1400 has been a gem, and is still in service, and only jammed on paper shells.
My 11-87 Remington Premiere has been flawless, for a semi-automatic shotgun
Good info! Thanks

Open bolt is rarely seen outside of homemade firearms? Delete this video.
Just stick to the tried and true classics. Mossberg, Remington, Winchester, Savage etc., leave all the mall ninja stuff for the LARPers.
I will stick with my Browning Automatic thank you.
1400 is the biggest pos ever. It’s the only gun I ever sold (for prom tickets).
emeginize saglık iyi çalışmalar
You can get a Tokarev TTF 12 for $200.
It's nothing special, but if you keep it fed it'll go *BANG* every time you pull the trigger.
I've got nothing ❤
hatsan cant even make good airguns so no surpise that they cant make a good real gun either
