I have many of these guns. My preference is my Marlin Papoose with Tec sights. Light, compact and accurate, it makes one ragged hole at 30 yards. It's more accurate than my AR7, much lighter than my 10-22. My Keltec SU16 c is not a bad choice.. it is very light for a semi auto 5.56 rifle. I have the sub 2000 in 9mm and 40. 40 is probably the better choice... in a carbine it can generate 10mm velocities and energies. For true versatility I think the best choice is a take down 12 gauge single shot, cut down to an 18" barrel. bird shot, buck shot, slugs.. and with shorty shells, you could carry a lot more ammo.
So what do you guys think about the Steyr scout rifle ? It is light weight (same as the Browning BLR), versatile in caliber choices, stopping/hunting power is definitely noticeable, can use both iron sight and optical sight and it even has built-in bipod for stable shot
what about just a small ar-15 if .223/5.56 is on the menu sure nothing wrong with the keltec but an with light stock can viable it's not hard and underestimated how easy it to separate the lower from the upper anyway to be more portable. and since the keltec uses the same mags its advance is questionable over the standard AR to me. carbine too much? try a shorter "pistol length" barrel. I like all guns of course but it just floors me to say the Keltec SU6 is that much of an advantage 30 round mags take up space in both gun since they take the same mags how you gonna get around that to have the gun on you?
Not a bad list, I laughed at the sub 2000, I would substitute my Ruger pc 9 carbine. But the 9mm is kind of a lousy small game round. And not enough for deer. Although racoon and possum ect would be in its power range. All in all, not a bad AI vidio.
Is .223 considered a STANDARD AR Magazine? I thought that was 5.56 rounds. I have a Keltec SU16 or whatever it is called.... it shoots .223... I have never even shot mine. Never had a chance and I've had it FOREVER. Been busy.
😢😮a "survival " rifle should be able to address Any threat that comes your way, and as for firearms and emergencies there is no real one fix answer other than any caliber you have is better than a sharp stick,,,as for small game you don't need a gun, game birds, rabbits and squirrel can be taken with a stick or stone,,,the most effective weapon you'll have in a survival situation is your brain and hand skills,,,I can make stone tools, knives and arrow heads, I can make arrows,,, I can create fire several ways,,,survival will have a great deal to do with how prepared you really are,,,I have been practicing and ganing my woodcrafter/mountain crafting skills for 70 years, I'm 75,,,I'm that guy you drop off naked at the south pole and when you get back to camp I'm there and I've built a 3 room cabin with running water, electricity and refrigeration,,,my go bag has a 1911 .45, a ruger mk II .22, a 16 strand 62" bow string,a K- bar , a Keen-kutter 16oz half hatchet, 100' P550, 500' jute twine, a spool of nylon bank line,, a Swiss army pocket knife, a Leatherman, a fishing tackle box, a couple ferrocerium rods, a folding tree saw, a good poncho W/liner, a couple mylar space blankets, a wool blanket, an emergencymylar tent, 3 pair of socks, a change of cloths, a pair of shoes, a towel, 3 days emergency rations, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, 2 canteens, 1 with cup and case and 1 with cup, lid, stove and case, around 100 strike anywhere matches, ammo and magazines, 8 1/2"x11" atlas, a compass, dental floss, a trauma kit with 3 tourniquet, a first aid kit with aspirin, Tylenol, ibuprofen, water purification tabs and a new unopened water filter, qt and gal zip lock freezer bags, a sewing kit, safety pins, a couple 4" safety pins, petroleum jelly, Vicks vaporub, a small SAS survival hand book, a water proof notebook and pencil, a small pair of binoculars, a 10" vise grip, 20' bell wire, a 1" auger, 5 oz kerosene, 5 ox alcohol, shaving razors and a signal mirror, a loud military field whistle, soap, firearms cleaning kit, Remington gun oil, hippies #9, WD-40 packets, $200.00 in 1s, chocolate bars, Swiss miss cocoa packs, fun size butterfinger and snickers, a watch cap, a bush cover,, a few camo bandanas, a pair of leather gloves, 50' of 1/2" nylon rope, 2 safety carabiners, 6 6" sticks of fat wood,, 6 hurricane candles, 18 oz of bushmills blackbush Irish whisky,,,I put this stuff in a vintage 3 bag pack on a pack board(Vietnam War USMC surplus )with room to spare! I have my plan to bug in, in an emergency why leave food, water, shelter,,,in survival you had best be able to get by naked and empty handed, your most effective tools are within You!!! You have no idea the % of deaths in survival situations that are caused by shame of self,,,your dying because your not using the skills you never took time to learn, and what if you have others to care for too,,,shameful, isn't it,,,😮😢

Getting tired of guntubers putting a picture of this or that firearm on the thumbnail then it not even being mentioned in the video.
Ooh! That Browning BLR.

Love those leaver action guns.
1:57 who puts an Aimpoint Acro on this rifle?
The compact 10-22 is great had one with a red dot and the 25 round mags
The 10/22 Takedown is amazing! It is the first firearm anyone should shoot and is loved by everyone on range days regardless of skill level.
Stainless Mini 14 folding stock. Nato 5.56
Ruger lc carbine 10 mm. Compact bear defense worthy. Plenty of ammo .
Sin lugar a dudas con el Kel Tec 9 mm, es multiproposito. Excelente seleccion en este video. Saludos y exitos.
I would never consider 22 cal for survivals
I have a Marlin papoose stainless steel with tech sights. It is so light and fits into my bug out bag with lots of extra rounds
How to get that 1022 stock?
It's the Magpul Backpacker stock. I have it on my 10-22 and on my Ruger PC carbine. It reduces weight and is very handy. It has storage in the stock.
No love for the TNW ASR?
👍👍👍
The M6 at 1500+ is not a cery good choice.
A 12 gauge shotgun double barrel 28 and a 22 Henry lever
Hope theres available for 22mag for same size
I'll stick with my AR-10.
