Freedom devastated by subjection and the fiend..just ..remember the hogs ran down and over the cliff. Reformation ,surely glorious salvation..redemption after penance a new person..
To say Timothy was never circumcised by Paul conflicts with scripture. Its an odd situation to be sure, but to say the record was wrong seems wrong. :(
Freedom for what? As Luther says, we are saved and forgiven by Christ’s death and resurrection with a telos/goal/aim in mind: “so that I may may be His own (i.e., Christ's) and live under Him in His kingdom and serve Him (i.e. obey, worship, love, offer right sacrifices to Him) in everlasting righteousness, innocence, and blessedness.” So. Free from the enslaving power of sin to live in accord with the everlasting, perfect will and law of our King: Christ. Which is basically Luther drawing on God’s words to Pharaoh through Moses and applying them to Jesus: “Let my people go that they may serve me.”
Listening to Dr. Paulson preach brings me such joy, day after day!
Fantastic. I like to think this is how Paul himself spoke and taught-with a fire in his belly for the proper place of both law and gospel!
Joy and laughter in the house today! Thanks Dr Paulson
Thanks for uploading it. Really a blessing to hear Dr.Paulson.
I feel the same way. We are listening to a new Luther speak in our very midst!
Amen.
At the 13:45-50 mark, Dr Paulsen said Psalm116:120 which is in error. I believe he meant Psalm 116:10-11 from The Good News Translation (GNT)

Indeed you are right .
This is a grave error at this point and totally unjustified
Galatians are the first Scotch-Irish. I'm at the right place.
Oh the scandal of the gospel. God did all the work and we do NONE, so offensive to human pride
